    The way to fix the 16 GB is to get a lightning adapter that has a charger so you can provide additional power

    First … It was awesome to see your files from GTY! That is very cool! I love GTY & MacArthur! …. Secondly, can this option work if I need to download a PDF document from my PC and then open it on my iPad? Or use that option to send the PDF as a file from the iPad to someone else?

    • @iPadChannel
      @iPadChannel  Рік тому +1

      I’m glad we share the same love for GTY and JMac. To answer your question, yes this option works as per your inquiry. This system works the same way as you would on a normal computer. The only limitation (as mentioned in the video) is the type of USB flash drive that you will use, as some of them are not detected by the iPad.

    would I be able to use a flash drive that was formatted for PC to transfer mp4 files to an ipad?

    • @iPadChannel
      @iPadChannel  2 місяці тому +1

      Yes, but as stated on the video, some flash drives that use a lot of power (such as an LED light indicator) might not work. However, if you are using an ipad that has USB C (ipad air 5, ipad 10 and ipad pro), then any type should work fine, including external ssd drives.

    A GREAT VIDEO!!!! Thanks.
    But why did the files not stay in the Files section of the iPad?
    Is this a possible, or must we always send files to Photos App..?
    I bought the Sandisk adapter you used in your test 4.

    • @iPadChannel
      @iPadChannel  Рік тому +1

      For this demo, I used importing the file from USB to an app, but you can actually copy and paste the file directly from the USB to the Files app, the same way you would, in Windows or MacOS. Thanks for your comment.

    Great video! May I ask can I transfer word document into my iPad using this adapter?

    • @iPadChannel
      @iPadChannel  Рік тому

      Yes. Note however that you will need an app installed on the ioad that can open the word file. You can either install Word or Pages app to do this.

    Thank you for the video. What if you don’t want to put them in the Photos app but if you want to put them in a separate folder? How do you do that?

    • @iPadChannel
      @iPadChannel  Рік тому

      With the new iPadOS, press and hold on the file, wait until the pop up menu appears, click Copy, then browse the file explorer app and go and open the destination folder and click on any white blank space area in the destination folder and click paste

    Can PDFs be transferred to and from a flash drive to iPad or is it only for photos and videos? I would like to get an iPad 9th generation for school.

    • @iPadChannel
      @iPadChannel  11 місяців тому +1

      Yes, it can transfer all types of file. Just be mindful of the type of flashdrive you will use, as not all are supported, as mentioned in the video.

      @danielmumbi6176 11 місяців тому +1

      Thank you for your feedback. Should we follow the same steps 'save' instead of 'copy' when transferring documents & PDF Files or we can just directly copy them?

    • @iPadChannel
      @iPadChannel  11 місяців тому

      @@danielmumbi6176for any files that are not video or photo, yes you can directly "copy & paste" these files the same way you would copy them on a Desktop computer.

    So once on iPad what do I need to do to put photos in the iCloud and then able to view them on other devices? iPhone and iMac?

    • @iPadChannel
      @iPadChannel  7 місяців тому

      Once photos are imported to the Photos app on the iPad, go to Settings > Photos, then turn on the iCloud Photos option. This setting will automatically upload all your photos and videos in the Photos app to the iCloud, and will enable you to view them on other apple devices (such as an iPhone, Mac, etc) where the same apple ID was used, and has this feature enabled.

    Can we copy files from iPad using normal, Sandisk 3.0 USB pen drive?

    • @iPadChannel
      @iPadChannel  Рік тому +1

      It depends on the type of iPad you are using. If you are using an iPad with USB C interface, then it should work. Otherwise, for iPads that has lightning ports, its going to be a hit and miss, as what has been mentioned in this video.

    Can we wipe the hard drive with ipad/phone

    • @iPadChannel
      @iPadChannel  Рік тому

      For Hard Disks, It is only possible for Apple devices that have USB-C connections. It is also worth noting that after deleting the file, you should go to the Recently Deleted folder through the File App, and delete the file there, to permanently delete the file from your Hard Drive, freeing up Hard disk space.

      @haroldlladoc 2 роки тому +1

      from the Apple Store it’s called Lightning to USB Camera Adaptor. Its around $29, but you can buy a third party brand, as long as it is lightning to USB, as depicted on this video at @0:34

    i wanna but a 1tb usb with 4k movies converted to mkv and then i wanna watch them on my ipad without internet

    • @iPadChannel
      @iPadChannel  Рік тому

      You can watch mkv files using the Documents5 app by readdle. However, Ive never tried connecting a 1TB flash on a lightning port of an iPad. If your iPad has USB C (like the new iPad 10, or iPad Pro) then this should work just fine. Otherwise, I would not recommend using a 1TB flash.

    Any idea why one of the four flash drives did not work?

    • @iPadChannel
      @iPadChannel  11 місяців тому

      Im guessing it is due to the those flash drives have LEDs (light emitting diode), as it requires more power than the lightning port could provide to power it up
