He did better than most adults do when they're beginning to learn. I also have to give props to his instructor, because I've met motorcycle instructors who don't break it down how well as he did.
@@JohnnieVIt all depends on what kids you’re teaching to. Not all kids get used to it this quickly or get that confident. I would say kids definitely can learn faster than most adults.
100% agree. I paid $400 bucks to the motorcycle class and the coach skipped half of the information in this video in his class still blamed us not riding motorcycle like a professional. LOL
Bro, I’m 42 and just bought a V Star 1300, and I have never driven a motorcycle. This video is giving a ton of practical tips to ease the anxiety. Thanks!!
Love it. As a seasoned rider, I was very impressed and learned there is no shortcuts, master the basics. Look forward to nephew’s second practice session!!
I'm 54 years old and contemplating getting a "small" motorcycle to learn and start riding. I've driven manual transmission cars my whole life. I'm kind of nervous, but your video is easing my mind some. Great teaching, Sir. Thank you!
Take a MSF, Motorcycle Safety Foundation, course. It offers introductory, one day, classes to see if motorcycle riding is for. If it is, they offer a licensing course were you can get your license over a weekend. It's quite an easy process and affordable.✌🏽
Bro this is actually a amazing video cause not only is he teaching his nephew but he’s teaching us at the same speed from the same start he is. And being safe about everything! Thanks for the great video
Thank you so much!!! I’m sending this to my husband so he knows how to help me learn! This is exactly the way I want to learn. The repetition and explaining what the clutch actually does is soooo helpful. It’s hard to learn when I don’t understand what the actual function is, so I especially loved how you broke it all down and explained it. I can’t wait to actually ride my own bike instead of being a passenger all of the time!
The look on your nephew’s face when you praised him is priceless! A look of pure joy and excitement! Guess it’s time for me to find a used dirt bike to start teaching my 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter how to ride! Love your patience and teaching methods!
I´m watching this and I can´t help thinking of the importance of the presence of a man to teach manly ways to a younger one. I grew up without a father and only when you´re grown you start realizing how it takes its toll on you.
I had a father but he was preoccupied most of my young life. I'm thankful for the time I did have with him, but I even I can understand that the lack of a father figure definitely takes a toll. Hope you're good bro.
1st of all, u are a awesome uncle, im a beginner myself at 52, when he started riding i just jumped up like he was my kid, we need more black men like you to help the youth to do stuff like this.....keep up the good work, and im learning from u also.
I started training at 50 and yet to get on the road proper at 52😊 I was to go riding today but my experienced rider was a "no show". Tomorrow I get on public road for more practice.
I loved it. The little guy will remember this forever. Another generation of motorcyclists. Way to go, and May GOD be with the young guy every step of the way. Another great video Tall.

This is fantastic. Great teaching. Patience. Focusing on safety, build skills and maintaining confidence. Your nephew will ALWAYS remember you teaching him to ride.
I have been riding for a few years now and and I still release the clutch too quickly. Your calm and patient demeanor helped you nephew learn and eased any anxiety. Loved watched this.
He'll be glidin' by next week 😂 Seriously, patience is the key and not too much info overload. I think you've got him covered on both accounts. It's awesome to witness the beginning of someone's journey.
You are a Great Teacher. I'm about to teach my son how to ride and you gave great pointers. I'm going to have him watch this video before I take him out to a parking lot. Thanks for sharing your expertise!
Respect to all other UA-camrs uploading tutorials on riding bikes, but your method of teaching is the perfect one for me. Thanks a lot for having taken the time to make and upload this video :)
How cool to be learning to ride at that age. The 13 yo learned fairly quickly. You're a great teacher! I am taking a motorcycle safety class in 20 days. Hope my instructor is as patient as you.
Teaching him how to basically drive it one day is very impressive. You are a very good teacher. Your family members have a great motorcycle trainer! Thanks for the video sir.
Brings back great memories of me teaching both of my sons how to ride when they were about your nephew's age. Now they both are glidin' with me and making memories. Good on you uncle Tall! He will remember who taught him forever. He did great.
I learned when I was about 12 or 13 how to ride a dirt bike. Took me way longer to figure out the clutch than it did this kid. You're a great teacher, and patient. Good job and God bless.
This is probably one of my favorite videos done by you. Brings back fond memories of excitement of first learning. Unfortunately i had to learn on my own. I started on a 1981 or 82 Kawasaki GPZ. I got hooked on moyorcycles when my oldest sister's boyfriend gave me a ride on the back of his beautiful purple Kawasaki. One thing i would tell any new motorcycle rider or anyone contemplating learning is... do not let other people's fear become yours! Riding is not rocket science, anyone can learn. You had a beautiful December day, clear skies and plenty of sun. He did great, good student. By the way that is a beautiful bike! Love that it has a windshield. Keep up the great work Tall!
I have the same 125 cc but the color red I bought it for the same reason as you…to teach my son and now I have taught 3 other people the joys of riding. The Kawasaki 125 is the perfect platform for beginners.
Tall you are a excellent teacher. Felt like I was back in the Marines getting a period of instructions. Good job! Took some pointers for my wife who is learning to ride.
I remember 20yrs ago my uncle took me to a parking lot similar to this and taught me how to ride a 750 honda. I've been rolling ever since. Love this video. Can't wait to teach my son/nephews how to ride
