Well, I thought I knew what I was using for the design on a gift for a friend, and then I saw this pattern. It would still be stunning done with changing out colors every row or so, and looks like it would go relatively quickly. I think I'm in love.

This would make a lovely summer throw for use at a cottage or beach place in a cotton blend yarn. Could be either single color or a long color changing variegated yarn. Thank you for figuring out the needed pattern changes. Keep on hookin😄

I must say - for being a "mostly double crochet kinda person".... the two I love the most that I've done of yours have been the Bavarian and this. lol Both with Triples. Having said that. I started this with Grey and switched to blue on the back post parts.... because I did that yarn that changes as you go for the Bavarian and remembered how nice it looked to have a different color in the back posts. I also changed it from five to four (when you said three might work) - and four works lovely :) Thank you for all you do!!! TADA!!!

Idea: IF I can get the sparkly sequin yarn I want to make this with, when beginning the treble crochet rows, after slip stitching to the first bpdc, slip stitch BACK into the chain five space before it before doing the chain 4. I've been playing with a little yarn and this works better for me because then I know I only do 6 trebles not 7.
(This is bucket list after 2 Bag-O-Day pocket shawls, a poncho, and a men's sweater owed to my grandkids for birthday gifts.
Also, keep bugging, hoping Fiber Spider or Bag-O-Day will make a 1 strand fedora (all patterns I find use 2 and they don't look like fedoras)....and a golf hat in men's and boys' sizes.
Edit: oops! Thank you for another excellent tutorial!

Hello dear Fiber Spider. I am trying to follow your tutorial. I’m more or less managing because you explain so well but it has been years since I did some crocheting so I’m a bit slow. The only question I have is : do you turn your work after each round ? Because my textures appear on different sides every time 🤔🤔🙄 also I am left handed, maybe I’m doing it wrong ?? Thanks for any advice.
