Great posting. Just ordered the 80 and looking forward to trying it out. I have a long tour which has been delayed until borders start to re-open and I have an on-going packing list. Kept having to pause your video to note yet another thing I'd forgotten. Definitely glad I watched through until the end.
I am really enjoying all of your videos. Nicely done! Thank you for the great tip about using the packing straps for first aid. I had not thought about that.
Love the video and use a lot of the same stuff but with a Reckless 80. Mosko gear is excellent. Just as an aside and not complain or preach but it always a good idea to practice "leave no trace" principles especially when camping in pristine spots like this. It will keep these areas open for off road use longer in the future so we don't end up like CA. Cheers!
Interesting to see the split between spot & inreach... I've been looking into them a bit and it sounds like spot has better medical and vehicle recovery insurance, but less reliable comms.. would love to see a video discussion about why some chose one vs the other.
Hey Shane, thanks! Andrew is wearing an old prototype of our Basilisk pant. Check the current version out here: moskomoto.com/products/basilisk-pant-2021
Great information, doing some research on dual sport options for packing vs my ADV setup. A note on the fishing pole, fun and satisfying to make a fishing pole I am sure but check out the pocket pen fishing poles on Amazon. for less than 15.00 you get a fishing pole that is literally the size of a fountain pen. Plenty of UA-cam videos of people catching fish with them. That is what I use for my ADV kit and I have caught trout with it. Keep on adventuring!
Thank you for this vid. Mosko Moto is at the top of the game. I have used the 35 liter panniers and 40 liter backcountry for several months, on both local and long distance street and dirt rides, and just got the Nomax with the cell phone case for Christmas from my loving family. You all put your heart, minds and considerable experience into every product. Question regarding securing the phone case: Ash says she uses a leash; what product are you using that is sufficiently light-weight, tough and secure? Thanks.
Hey Bill, thanks for your support. Couldn't do what we do without you! The Navigator cell phone case includes two velcro loops that attach to the molle panel on top of your Nomax. :)
@@MoskoMoto Thank you for your very quick reply. I can see I was unclear in my question. I have attached the cell phone case to the Nomax bag using the molle loops. The cell phone case has a triangular ring that Ash said she uses to leash the case, to keep the casual interested party from ripping the cell phone off of the tank bag. My question is about that leash. What does she use for that leash? It has to be light-weight and locking, and reasonably tough. The Mosko Moto light weight cables are a great product, but the shortest is 4'.
Thank you for the excellent demonstration. I have a question relating to the MSR Hubba NX 1. I cannot find anywhere how the tent can compress to the size you show. I need to fit to my RECKLESS 40 for a trip. Thank you 🤔
Hi Mosko Moto team. If we want to comply to a Leave No Trace approaches specific to Moto-Camping trips, several topics don't seem to be talked about very often. As a general rule of thumb, I know that heavy loads are carried the lowest and closest to the center of the bike. I'd like to have the Mosko Moto hardcore team ADV riders their approach and insight on the following topics. A - Water supplies : A.1 - How do you carry/store/strap on the bike ? A.2 - How do you filter/clean it ? A.3 - What quantity do you usually carry/day ? A.4 - What types of containers do you use ? (MSR Dromedary, MSR Dromlite, Collapsible water bottles, Hydration backpack, Rotopax 1 Gallon-Water , other methods ?) B - Food supplies : B.1 - How do you carry/store/strap on the bike ? B.2 - How do you store it night ? ( Bear Bag, Canister, Hanging on a tree) B.3 - What types of containers do you use ? ( Ursack Allmitey + Oppsack, BearVault, OPSAK Odour Proof Bag, other methods ?) C - Trash (Food remnants or Human waste): C.1 - How do you carry/store/strap on the bike ? C.2 - What types of containers do you use ? (STS Trash sack, OPSAK Odour Proof Bag, Dry bag + Ziploc, other methods ?) C.3 - What types of methods do you use ? ( On site - Cat Holes / Carry-on - Wag bags or Restop bags ?) D - Fuel : D.1 - How do you carry/store/strap extra fuel on the bike and manage with other luggage ? D.2 - What quantity do you usually carry/day ? D.3 - What types of containers do you use ? (MSR Fuel bottles - 30oz - 887ml, Rotopax Fuel - 1Gal - 3.80L, Desert Fox Fuel Cell - 3L, other methods ?) Thanks for your input and recommendations.
Thanks for taking the time to show us the items you packed and how you packed them.
Our pleasure! Was fun to go through all the gear while we were packing up camp!

What lake was that ?
Not sure on the exact lake, but somewhere in WA!
so what you're telling us is that they're not big enough?
Not everyone needs 80+lbs of crap to have a good Moto camping trip
What type /brand pants is Pete wearing ? And what brand back pack is he using?
Curious to know as well about the pants.

That's a great idea!
