Eliot, I just wanted to say thank you. After watching you videos for dozens of times, some of them I watched even for multiple times, I really achieved what I wanted. I started to follow you during the Covid times and from this moment on I literally fell in love with English and most primarily with the British way of speaking. In this context I even visited the UK this autumn! I have to say that I seem to be a person who does not need that long time as many others for learning a language or for adapting an accent. Indeed, it was not that hard for me as I have imagined before and of course I am still not perfect as a native speaker. Anyway, it is more than funny my English teacher is always calling me the “British friend” in class although I have never been to the UK before my visit in autumn this year. I am more than thankful that I was able to learn the British English within a couple of months with your videos and your help. The best advice i can give anyone who want to have a accent reduction and achieve a british accent as a end game is make it your everyday talk and life. Build those tongue muscle, mouth muscle and muscle memory. It will takes about a year to build all those muscles and lastly the confidence. Dont get nervous wondering what friends, family or strangers are thinking how you sound. They are going to continuously make there own opinions what they think ur accents from. Its a working progress but once you build those mouth, tongue and brain muscle you will have that accent. Watch lots of vidoes to familiarize yourself with each word and pronunciation. It’s not easy but if you really want it like i did it’s very achievable 😁❤️

I think this advice not only applies to those who speak ESL/EFL but to native speakers as well. In some parts of the UK, accents can be so thick and so full of non-standard grammar and pronunciation that are practically impossible to understand, even if you are proficient in English.
Actually, I am facing the accent and tone issue. People are commenting about the way I speak. To be honest love to speak slowly and clearly, but they want me to speak fast although they are not native. I was less confident when I am talking to others. But now this advice is very helpful for me and at the same time I gained motivation as well. Thank you so much. Learning from UAE.

I took the 15 weeks course and all I can say is: It was 100% worth it! I got really better with my accent and I could start to see myself the things I had problems with, which was something I was not able to do before. I will always be thanksful to Elliott and his course, it was such an amazing experience.

My case is very specific because I have the background knowledge about phonetics and phonology. Elliott makes all that easier and is more practical in the course, like getting the knowledge down to earth. To me the best about his course is the chance to send WhatsApp voice msgs and get corrections. I would say he is what makes it worth it. I was told about my problems with vowels mainly but my teacher couldn't tell me how to improve that issues. Elliott in his first feedback told me exactly what I was doing wrong and how to fix it. Then over the time of the course he helped me made huge improvements, so 100% worth it to me. I hope that helps to make your decision.

My professional mentor is British. However they complain of my terrible speaking speed. I needed this, especially on the speed and conjunctions' slower pronunciations.
