One thing about Vecna is that she gets all the triggered effects of the Book the Hand and the Eye. So if we combine them we get: Indestructible When Vecna enters the battlefield, you draw a card and you lose 2 life. At the beginning of your upkeep, you may pay {2}. If you do, you draw a card and you lose 2 life. At the beginning of combat on your turn, Vecna gets +X/+X until end of turn, where X is the number of cards in your hand. At the beginning of your end step, if you lost 2 or more life this turn, create a 2/2 black Zombie creature token.
the fun thing is, if you turn creatures into the Eye, the Hand, or the Book, like with True Polymorph, Vecna gains the creature's abilities instead of the Book, Eye, or Hand's abilities
@@bardeenios251 Almost. You can't replace the book with another card because the book sacrifices itself specifically, you CAN use other permanents in place of the eye and hand if they are named the same like you said, but I think true polymorph wouldn't work as the copies would either still share the same name (if you target the hand or eye for it's first target) or the effect of the other creatures/artifacts would just become the same as the eye/hand anyway (also the legendary rule still applies in that case, so you would have to sac one of them too)
Oh, rereading the book of vile darkness again, they also need to specifically be artifacts, so no creatures or other permanents aside from artifacts either.
@@Demon0no it would work IIRC, since it'll give Vecna the abilities of the exiled cards, and when it checks to see what the abilities are, the exiled cards have reverted back to whatever they were, so it'll give Vecna the creature abilities
Just for clarification, the Mechtitan Core is the only thing that doesn’t come back when the Mechtitan dies, Other artifacts exiled by Mechtitan do though, so you can just play another core. Nice video! Very enjoyable
I see you have never seen Marit Lage's Slumber while astrolabe was still legal! Fulfilling the clause was extremely quick and easy to do, and the overwhelming amount of card selection Slumber gave you made pure snow a fantastic deck in modern. Of course, you're not bringing out Marit Lage as fast as Turbo Depths would in Vintage, but Slumber was designer for a more midrange style and was excellent at outgrinding the opponent, especially if you reached 10 snow permanents on your opponent's turn with an Ice-fang coatl or a snow land through cards like growth spiral. The deck did die out for the sins of Astrolabe though, so in the current context it is far worse than plain old dark depths, but playing Marit Lage in modern was still a lot of fun!
Annoying Mary-Sue character who practically stole an entire franchise from the much cooler and more interesting characters around him and single-handedly created an entire generation of players who wanted to play the most cookie-cutter "Redeemed Drow Ranger" imaginable, which naturally led to the special-yet-generic characters we often see today. Whenever I see someone playing a Tiefling Rogue, I silently curse Drizz't.

You’re absolutely right and that’s something it didn’t even occur to me to account for - Vecna can get bumped up to A-rank, as a treat.

Sophia and Tiny are a reference to Scooby Doo and Shaggy from the iconic kids show Scooby Doo. Hence why Scooby Doo is a detective dog.
We demand representation of jamming a soul into a helmet, giving it a sword and shield and pointing it in the direction of our enemies

Ah! Perhaps I misread! Thanks!
I definitely appreciate the analysis aspect in this video.
Also, I really want more Merit Lage cards. Imagine her as another big bad!
Nah, her true destiny is being the one to 1v1 Emrakul in the end times.

One of my favorite interactions in the game is a token doubler and having there and back again. Legend rule, and then get 28 treasures lol
You missed Urami, made by Tomb of Urami
Much like Kaldra, it didn't get a physical token.
Good morning!
Mommy lage mentioned!!!!]!!1!11!!!
Thr only deck that plays verix and karox is, like, a kicker deck that cares about kicker.
Where is Kaldraaa
Check the end ;)
Why do you hate Drizzt so much damn
