HandOfBlood is also a great fan of Eskimo Callboy and metal in general. The video clip in the end is from a follower special of German UA-camr Kalle, check it out, it's hilarious. None of the guys are professional dancers or musicians, but they just enjoy entertaining and making fun of themselves :D

I bet that hate/love would be a great vid to review. It's a serious song about breakups and it's hella real. I think the two songs are a perfect ying yang of each other. Hypa hypa is the silly puppy dog loving eyes of youthful lust. While, Hate/love is a super serious angry breakup song with lyrics that a adult dark AF. Love this shit Hypa hypa was the song of 2020. It's part tiger king part bored stupidity part weird and unexpected.

Another great thing about Eskimo Callboy, because big Video production teams aren't that present here in Germany, they even do everything in the Videos themselves. They built that Set and Lighting, their Stylist is a good friend of mine, he does all the Outfits and makeups for all their stuff, the Girl isn't a big actress, it's another friend of ours that would fit and I think thats really great that they manage to do that all by themselves in such a great manner.
And you should also check out Hate/Love by them, thats another song with a lot of production in it and the video too

    • @caseydykes117
      @caseydykes117 3 роки тому +2

I love that they are happy to get in and get their 'hamds dirty' so to speak. Shows a lot of love that they clearly have for what they do. It's also great to see them involving good mates in on the project that have genuine shared interests, like in hypa the mates that dance towards the end of the track. Just so much happiness and wholesomeness

If you want to understand where the influences are coming from for this song, you need to go to the first album of Attack! Attack! titled "Someday Came Suddenly" to get a glimpse of the crabcore-emocore-scenecore of the second half of the 2000s, also "Maria" and "Hyper Hyper" by Scooter, and there is also some mainstream 2000s trance influence most closely resembling Groove Coverage. They managed to pull off a parody of these all and also visually mocking recent phenomena, like the forced 80s aesthetics revival that's going on today and egirls. The absurdity level is so high here, that we can easily call them genius. :'D

The "dance crew" at the end of the video are a couple of UA-camrs from Berlin who are good friends with the band. "Kalle" made a promotion deal with Eskimo Callboy and shot an entire dance video for the whole song as a 200,000 subscriber spezial on his chanel. And parts of that video were used in that music video.

Eskimo Callboy is a mix of joke stuff similar to this, and they have some serious stuff as well. Their other newer song Hate/Love shows a more serious side to the band. Or even their older song 'Crystals' is a more 'real song' if that makes sense

And this doep doep doep, Hypa Hypa comes from "Scooter" Hyper, Hyper and Maria (I like it loud)

My partner has a ball python and they are super chill! They won't even attack when they are scared, they just curl up in a defence position. The only time they might hurt you is if they bite you by accident while feeding and that is easily avoided. Would recommend making sure they have plenty of space and don't feed them too often
Love the channel btw! First place I go when I get bored :)

Hi, David! Great reaction and I love that you stop to talk about what's going on in the music because, in a case like this one, I learn while I laugh. To answer your question, Eskimo Callboy does both serious (eg, Crystals, Hate/Love, etc) and funny (MC Thunder I, MC Thunder II). Personally, I prefer their funnier ones because there are any number of bands who sound like the serious ones but the fun songs/videos put EC into their own fresh and unique space. If you never listen or react to another Eskimo Callboy song, PLEASE check out MC Thunder II (Dance Like A Ninja). It's a fun video, a great hook, and - once again - a really well done mix of trancecore and metalcore that demonstrates that they're not just goofing, they actually know what they're doing musically. I think you'll really enjoy it.
If you do want to dip a toe into their more serious side, Crystals is a great song and a really interesting, artsy video. The only downside to it (in my personal opinion) is the old singer's cleans, which I find a little thin and nasally on the hook. I much prefer the new guy (Nico)'s cleans. Hate/Love is another serious song and has the bonus of featuring Nico. It's well done but, again, my personal opinion, it has a little less personality than their funnier tracks. It feels more like something I could hear from a bunch of other bands. Still, interesting video and will give you a larger sense of EC as a band.
Either way, whether you check out any more EC or not, I'm really enjoying your reactions and gaining insight into little bits of theory along the way. Keep it up! I look forward to following you down many musical rabbit holes.

I have listened to these guys more in the last few weeks than I have listened to most bands in my life. They are incredible. I love their old stuff and their new stuff. It’s just hit after hit. They never cease to amaze.

Yeah I gotta say love it or hate it the amount of effort and time put into this song really shows the dudes are talented and right, wrong or indifferent can't deny that all that work put into this whole video paid off very well.

Hei David, Love your reactions and i also want to recommend some bands to you. First of all: "Bloodywood" from India, they're great and so far all their lyrics have a very important meaning on at least some scale, for example a song against bullying ("Endurant").
And if you want something you haven't heard before, if you want to experience something you probably haven't experienced before take a listening to "Heilung - In Maidjan | LIFA" (Live at Castlefest) or "Alfadhirthaiti" from the same gig. Btw... LIFA was the first Live-gig ever played by "Heilung" as "Heilung" (which also happens to be the german word for "healing") and also is the very first stage appearance of Kai-Uwe Faust, who is a tattoo-artist and shaman. More trivia: They buillt all instruments themselves and create a genre which they call "amplified history from iron aged/early medieval northern europe" and the lyrics base on actual findings from that era.

“Do they feel these lyrics from their heart” they have some songs that are more on the serious side, but this one is all satire.
