    the best things about you are, you don't repeat yourself, you flow seamlessly without wasting time. you move mouse slow enough to catch and you speak clearly without promoting yourself and without nonsense drama.
    you are the best. :-)

    I just wanted to say, thank you. SOOO much. I'm fairly new to blender, and all the other tutorials I've found are being lead through too fast, impossible for any beginner to understand. I suppose you're bored of reading this again and again, but not only did you provide perfect tutorials, you've helped me understand the crucial basics that helped me see more tutorials to advance myself! Thank you!

    I am always very interested in these video and how they're made. The content is very well polished and is very clear on everything. It must have taken a long time if this was done in one shot, else if it wasn't then you have some incredible editing skills(Beyond what can be clearly determined, since you obviously have experience)

    I successfully did this tutorial with version 2.78. I'm trying to recreate it in 2.90. The timing step explained at the 22:58 mark is not the same in 2.90 Is there an easy way to incorporate that repeat motion of the fluid in slow motion over the 200 frames?

    It is better to set the IOR of the water shadear to 1.333 instead of 1.45, because that is how water refracts.

    13:04 What does that 'Bake' button mean/do?

    • @piratepie1517
      @piratepie1517 7 років тому

      Bake simulates physics in blender and hard to render things like water

  • @johng7423
    @johng7423 7 років тому

    Hi great tutorial as always, I have noticed tho the water drips through the pipe, how do I make the pipe solid so the water will roll off the pipe into the tray as apposed to through the pipe, basically it looks like the pipe is a hologram, I think it will look more real if it can roll off, would I use collision in the physics setting and if so what setting as I cannot see a bake or assign button? cheers.

    • @johng7423
      @johng7423 7 років тому

      its ok I've just seen it further down click the pipe then click the fluid button and set the type to obstacle then bake the liquid, also if you mess up your bake, you need to open up the fluid cache and delete all the zip files if you want to re bake other wise it will bake over the previous bake, and it sort adds more to what you've done so basically the water looks like its going mental but it shows the invisible box the fluid is in as it starts splashing towards the top and sides showing the box shape in the water.

    Nice Tutorial, Thank you! I have a question about the background/ground. How did expanding the concrete image texture give it the checkerboard pattern we see in the final product? Which, in my opinion, is the primary factor making the video look real.

    Great tutorial. Though it might still be improved a bit here and there e.g. the water looks too much like mercury or molten silver inside the pan... and would the pipe not also be an obstacle to the water?

    Newbie question:
    If I wanted to move the text a little higher, at around the 23 minute mark, what do I need to do? I tried to drag it up and it stays until I click on anything, then it just snaps back down to the original location. Awesome videos btw.
