A HIT PIECE ON FORD. THAT SAID FORD IS CHEAP ON CERTAIN ITEMS . I ALWAYS SAID CHEVY WAS AND IS A BETTER TRUCK. I HAVE A 95 DUALLY I RESTORED AND IT IS OBVIOUS EVEN THEN THE CHINNCED ON ITEMS. THE VIDEO IS ALMOST NON INTELLIGEABLE LOUD INSIDE . DURAMAX YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW IT'S A DIESEL. THAT SAID IT IS TOUGH TO BEAT THE CUMMINS ANYTHING. RIDE IT A MILLION JUST INSTALL A NEW BODY AND PARTS.
I agree to some aspect. Where it really counts the Ram 3500 dually beats out the ford. The Ram 3500 has a higher payload, can come equipped with air bags for payload leveling, has cheaper replacement cost on tires, 2 sets of Ram tires are the cost of 1 set of 19.5” tires, has an i6 engine vs a v8 which means servicing is easier and less likely to have to pull the cab. For weekend rv’ers the f450 is a good choice. To trucking companies, who want every lb of towing capability and availability, rams for the f450 beat. Ram higher payload, and they both have near identical tow ratings. The f450 pickup, is not a true 450/4500. The f450 boasts wide track, hd rear leafs, bigger brakes front and rear, all at a cost of payload. I’d say if your working it, go Ram. If your light duty and just want a comfortable truck, the fords for a bigger feeling cab.
All you had to buy to compare with a 3500 Ram is a 3/4 ton Ford. Rams are notorious for being pieces of shit in the HD category. If it weren't for the Cummins engines, Rams wouldn't sell many trucks.

There is a reason that majority of hotshot drivers all drive Ram with no option no trim, save money and weight, while rich ranchers, Motorsports and RVers want comfort and medium truck class performance
I just bought a used 2019 F250 with 9k miles 2 weeks ago. I test drove some Rams as well. I was fine with either truck. My criteria was to find the lowest mileage vehicle in the best possible condition that was within my budget. I was not as concerned with nameplate. They both make good trucks.

@@watchthisfreight43 yes sir. Ram makes a fine truck so does Chevy. Each performs as they were intended. The 450 is a truck built with the pains of abuse on the drivetrain in mind. But as I said they are all fine trucks.
@@evan4881 yes, I am aware. I bought the truck to see if it's better, worse. Or the same. I don't care what people spend their money on. I'm doing this comparison for myself and sharing my results and opinion.
First off this is a COMPLETELY fair comparison, the F450 pickup and the f450 cab and chassis are not the same truck, the f450 pickup IS an f350 with a few upgrades. My only grips about ram 3500 is a few things it doesn’t have vs the f450. I wish ram would offer the wide track front axle with the 3500 dually, at least as an option. The turning radius on the f450 because of that is amazing. And I wish ram would update to a newer HD transmission with 8-10 gears
The F450 has a heavier frame, bigger brakes and axles than the F350…. I have owned both, the F450 is superior in all ways…. It is a true mid weight truck……
@@williamfeldner9356 there are two f450’s. One with the bed “that is and upgraded f350”. And a cab and chassis f450. Which is a medium duty truck with a heavier frame and de-tuned motor. They are not the same truck. Can send you a dozen other places that will explain the differences in more detail
@@williamfeldner9356 the f450 pickup has bigger brakes, thicker half shafts, wide track front axle, lower gearing, and 19.5 nock off Alcoa wheels. That’s it… the pick up version is a class 3 truck with more towing rating than an f350 and LESS payload capacity
I drive a freightliner m2 112 with a 9 litter Cummins and a frightliner m2 106 Detroit diesel and a ram 3500 and 5500 and it is a amazing fleet for my company
You were trying so hard to make the ram sound like a good truck you were like the Ford is good. BUTTT........The ram has a Built-in butt cheek massager so the ram is better You’re like the ram is better because it has The capability to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich
Well the line keeping has more options, one of them is to just vibrate when your getting out of the line and the other one is that the steering wheel will actually keep you in the center of the line steering to what ever way needed. Now I can’t say that is the same as Tesla but it is very good, the transmission temp, the DEF or the turbo compressor are in the electronic instrument cluster but you have to choose which one you want to be checking on. The light on the vanity visor it is true, is very old fashion, really I don’t really know how many drivers would care about that but it is true is very out dated.
So you purchased a f450 to compare to a dodge ? Literally the best pick up made the 450 limited vs the Ram ? You could have rented it to compare and would have still purchased it because it’s a better truck and more powerful motor
I went from a ram to the Ford. The only two things better about the ram. Better mpg, and no shaking at high speed. The Ford tows better, and has more power
Shaking at high speed? I’ve never experienced that unless you’re talking about death wobble that happens over time on the track hard it gets worn out just like anything else some rams have that problem too but it’s less of a problem
If I could get a Cummins wrapped in a Ford it'd be the best truck ever...not knocking the 6.7 power stroke but the Cummins is simple and still a beast. I'm actually curious as well...you have a fleet of trucks...aren't you a little worried about your drivers making sandwiches on the road instead of driving safely?
What's bad believe Ford owned or owned Cummins .this guy is lame ram up till mid 2000s ram was the worst truck on the road if you would've had mine you would know, was going to pay service rent to stay there
Funny to see that no one sees him laughing throughout the entire video, he definitely without a doubt with no lie intended this to be a very serious video!
I was just wondering- would it be possible for you to post your drive schedules- because I want to be off the road when you come through. I would hate to get hit because you're trying to make a PBJ on the Cajon pass and didn't see me... Just sayin'
Call me old school . . . I make my PBJs before starting a trip. You do raise a good point about lane assist (or whatever its called) -- it'd be helpful when DROPPING your PBJ onto the floormat.
oh man I had 2015 Dodge 3500 Laramie dually fully loaded. First owner. Worst truck I ever had. Always recalls and something breaking down. I love the mega cab though. I wish Ford would have that.
Ugh my raptor has the lane keeping assistance that actually drives the truck inside the lanes. You need to turn it on and not just the vibrating notification.
So vanity mirror lights and lane keeping assist is the major reason RAM is better? Let's compare a 15 yr old Ford, RAM, and GM and see which one gas held up the best and still tows and hauls the best.
Like my 2001 f350 crewcab dually v10 with 334000 miles ! It owes me nothing ! Went 280k in the original trans . Did have problems @ 100k with plugs blowing out but that was because the non Ford mechanic didn’t torque them correctly. The joke with my new mechanic is that the day it blows up is the same day I can retire .
Both trucks are great but its gonna cone down to little things. Im personally a ford guy i got a 09 350 lifted that i still use for work its got the 6.4 completely rebuilt but she runs like a tank and I wouldn’t give it up for anything
You know I don’t think one truck is better than another, each make model etc. has differences, myself I am a Dodge Ram guy I love Dodge trucks but if someone has a Chevy or someone has a Ford whatever you have you should be proud of it and proud that we live in a country where we can buy anything we want, they’re all good trucks everyone of them but like I said I’m a Dodge guy and I love Dodge Ram trucks thanks for the good video
I like how some people pretend to be unbiased and then we have this guy 😂 but it's all opinion, I agree with most the comments, this guy seemed like he didn't want to like anything Ford had with it and then had to make up something to pin against it
I drive up and down I-95 from Florida through the Carolinas all the time and the VAST majority of the one ton trucks pulling freight( mainly wedge haulers) are Rams. It is rare that I ever see a Ford or Chevy. Why is that?
I would also say that in construction, the HD trucks are all GM and Ford. Dodge is only purchased when money is a matter. Or you cannot read specs and reviews.
Nice video. Have to disagree though. I do love Ram as well. But most of your disagreements to the Ford I could care less about. Both make a great truck.
I don’t get it. Lots of ppl like this guy say Ram is this and that. First off. Let’s set the record straight. Ram and Chevy can’t even build a truck without the assistance of Cummins/ Aisin/ Chevy/. Duramax/ Allison. 50 plus percent of their trucks are built to compete by outside companies. If u wanna compare truck for truck first build ur own engines and transmissions in house. Then let’s talk. Even wit help ur still not winning. Don’t believe me. Research it. He’ll Fiat owns Dodge if u wanna know the truth.
@jeffponder3999 You do realize I was saying Dodge is garbage, right? I was talking with my dad about the very thing you've said the other day. Dodge/Ram and GM can't even build their own engines and transmissions, and then owners act like they got something special. What's worse is that they will talk shit about Ford and say how terrible it is when they at least build everything they use in-house. Let me be VERY clear. Dodge/Ram and GM are absolute garbage and can only compete, kind of, because of companies like Isuzu, Allisin, and Cummins. The only thing that Dodge and GM products have going for them is that they're available BECAUSE no one wants them.
Ford offers two lane keeping systems. One is active. The other is passive. I have had both. You have the passive system. The active system performs just as you described in the ram.
I hate lane keeping assist and active braking when I’m going down the road with a semi behind me and I try to pass a slow moving vehicle it either try’s to slam into the vehicle on the shoulder or brake check a loaded loving truck neither have good outcomes
@@watchthisfreight43 Yes and no. It doesn't make them worse either. At 60 - 100K a pop. These buyers are a bit more discriminating than your typical KIA buyer. I think in this case sales may be an indicator. At least to some degree. There are a lot more burger joints than car makers. Maybe not the best comparison. 80K vs 5 bucks. I would say that if Ram is typically 5-10K less to buy, they would easily outsell other trucks. So why don't they. Advertising? Misplaced dealerships? Or quality? Maybe all 3. I'm not saying we have a smoking gun here, but a reasonable person would have to wonder. Again, they're all junk these days.
The ford fuel system failed at 40k miles. I sold it after that. Ram has the same issue but the 3500 limited I had didn't have any issues I sold it at 120k
There's lots of incorrect info here about the Ford... I own a 2021. You can add lots of gauges for trans temp, boost, etc. Also, those incandescent visor lights keep you from blinding yourself. Everything else is LED. I could go on, but I'll wait until you come back after towing heavy with the Ford and never want to roll the RAM again :P
I didn't lie or make any "Incorrect" statements, not inetionally anyways. Yes, the top right can only do boost, trans or def. Which is fine. But still very limited engine monitoring options compared to the RAM. When Weighting 52k in the ford vs the RAM. There is minimal difference in pulling power. When that heavy. The RAM has better control. The ford really shines with lighter loads. Weighing between 30-40k total weight
Funny the tfl guys drive all these trucks up the ike and with all those cute little features the Ford squeaks out a little quicker time up hill, but the ram far outmatched it down hill with the exhaust braking. And the ram gets better fuel economy as well

Ford ROCKS & its no way in the world you brought that truck & dont like it.
I know. 😥

Ok seriously lights in a mirror and lane keeping doesn’t sell trucks. I want power, longevity, durability and cost to repair this video is based on pure bs!!!
before this pandemic came ram are the cheapest truck to get that's why they are everywhere..ram is the 1st dually truck i test drive then gmc, chevy but i ended up on the f350 because of its power, and only ford has the auto high idle..i think chevy has the smoothest ride
There is a reason that majority of hotshot drivers all drive Ram with no option no trim, save money and weight, while rich ranchers, Motorsports and RVers want comfort and medium truck class performance
Great explanation
Ford outperforms ram tho 😂 has more hp and torque there’s plenty of videos comparing both and everyone says Ford tows better
@@HSSANITO While I drive a Ford I don’t think it’s anywhere near that clear cut With the majority of hotshot driver’s using ram

You can never prove ram is better. That isn't happening. There are always pros and cons. It depends on what you want to highlight and focus on.
Exactly
I just bought a used 2019 F250 with 9k miles 2 weeks ago. I test drove some Rams as well. I was fine with either truck. My criteria was to find the lowest mileage vehicle in the best possible condition that was within my budget. I was not as concerned with nameplate. They both make good trucks.
Agreed. Your mindset is ideal. Brand lovers are what creates hostility. We get into rams for 15k less than what a Ford Costs for the same spec truck
Don't have to prove it, I love Ford lol

For the lane keeping you have to go in the settings and make sure it is on alert and aid. It comes from the factory on alert only.
I'll check it out

I think your biggest advantage with the Ram will be the exhaust brake and the fact for 2021 models Ram went back to the CP3 pump.

I’d love to see the 2022 F-450 vs the 2022 Dodge 3500. I also wish Ram made a 4500 with a truck box.
That is the same as the 22 f450, the 2023 is where the refresh comes into play
Vanity lighting: you do NOT want LED lighting… well women don’t… on your face. It’s not accurate lighting for what vanity lighting is for.
Damn, a limited ram 3500 for 84k must be nice. Those trucks MSRP now are 94k. Great video

Lane keeping assist is for cars not trucks if you have a truck and hauling a big load what are you doing leaving the steering wheel

Like most of these companies he's not concerned about giving his drivers time enough to stop and take 5 minutes to eat apparently.
What's bad believe Ford owned or owned Cummins .this guy is lame ram up till mid 2000s ram was the worst truck on the road if you would've had mine you would know, was going to pay service rent to stay there
Maybe you should get a Prius...stay away from a trucks.
But I need them to make a living. The prius can't tow much
Hooking up your Prius to a 40’ gooseneck takes more skill than many drivers possess!

@@watchthisfreight43 That kind of goes both ways doesn't it?
Call me old school . . . I make my PBJs before starting a trip. You do raise a good point about lane assist (or whatever its called) -- it'd be helpful when DROPPING your PBJ onto the floormat.
I appreciate your humor.
They're both good to me. I'm both a Ford and Ram guy.

oh man I had 2015 Dodge 3500 Laramie dually fully loaded. First owner. Worst truck I ever had. Always recalls and something breaking down. I love the mega cab though. I wish Ford would have that.
The ford has the most leg room even over a Mega cab . Only thing mega cab has is you can recline
All these ford guys better get back to work pulling your cabs off so you can replace a turbo 😂
@Bess Ross yes sir only the best
You know I don’t think one truck is better than another, each make model etc. has differences, myself I am a Dodge Ram guy I love Dodge trucks but if someone has a Chevy or someone has a Ford whatever you have you should be proud of it and proud that we live in a country where we can buy anything we want, they’re all good trucks everyone of them but like I said I’m a Dodge guy and I love Dodge Ram trucks thanks for the good video

👍. 2002 f250. 274,000 miles. 7.3 diesel. Original transmission. I did have a pinion bearing go out and replaced the rear axle
Then by all means go back to RAM. Your opinion has been noted.
I like how some people pretend to be unbiased and then we have this guy 😂 but it's all opinion, I agree with most the comments, this guy seemed like he didn't want to like anything Ford had with it and then had to make up something to pin against it
so its been almost 2 years now. which one is best?
I drive up and down I-95 from Florida through the Carolinas all the time and the VAST majority of the one ton trucks pulling freight( mainly wedge haulers) are Rams. It is rare that I ever see a Ford or Chevy. Why is that?
2 words only “ CUMMINS “ Power !
They are cheaper!
Because low margin jobs require lower priced vehicles.? I'm just talking shit. I have no idea really. I like my F450. That's all I know.
Maybe ford's better 🤷♂️
where's the rest of the series? or did the ford break down before you got home?
Lmao bro!!! You’re hilarious!🤣🤣🤣😂😂 😐
The only good thing about dodge/ram is that theyre always available.
PB&J, make-up.... Dude has a point guys, COME ON!
Came here from insta awesome vid keep it up!
You have to click the ok button in order for lane keep assist to work you just went to it
Best is subjective. The f150 is the “best” selling vehicle in America. By that metric the f150 is the best truck ford makes.
I mean best for the industry I'm in. Transportation
I hate all of that shyt. You shouldn't need computer to help you stay in your lane. I hate the accord because of that crap.
I drive a Pete semi truck and a 2005 Honda accord and I do just fine

Ask Google which manufacturer sells the most vehicles
Ask Google who sells the most hamburgers. Just because more are sold, doesn't make them better

And the ram gets better fuel economy as well
@@moose5.9 most people that haul hotshot or heavy weight care more about braking, fuel mileage , comfort ram just does it better .
