Speaking of Jay Leno, I think its fgn hilarious the only time you see Doug reviewing a car but then NOT even getting to sit in the damn drivers seat of said car is when its any of Jay's fleet. I really love Jay & his channel is one of my absolute favorites across the entire span of UA-cam. But damn, there has GOT to be something, somewhere in that garage of his that he can entrust poor Doug with the driver seat of. I mean that warehouse is sooo frigging large I'd be willing to wager it has it's own zip code!
Wait a second, I just had a brainstorm.. . If I remember correctly, Jay actually has TWO Lamborghini Miuras! Maybe if we all band together, we can wear Jay down just enough to let Doug pilot just one of them so Mr. Demuro can finally overcome & put to rest that secret sadness he has for having never been allowed to actually drive any of Jay's cars. And in Dougs defense, he has driven countless cars in almost every country of the entire Earth for his channel without any accidents or mishaps. So please Mr. Leno, with all the respect I can muster, give your fellow UA-cam driver a set of keys, jump in the passenger or back seat of the car, & allow Doug to have the privilege, nay the HONOR, of chauffeuring you through a couple of streets of your beloved town and probably make what I would bet to be roughly 4 MILLION UA-cam viewers so incredibly happy. I've seen the price sheet of one of these cars. The paint alone was the cost of my fully loaded Ranger. It was terrifying to see the price sheet of this car!
My father is General/Service manager at the local Ford dealership, and someone he knows actually managed to buy a GT. The whole process of buying one of these cars is insane. If you're selected, you have a guy who's only job is to overlook the whole process from start to finish... And he's your guy. That's his entire job until that car is built and delivered.
Edit: We live in a smaller city in Northern Ontario, it's really rare to see these types of cars around.

I'm a bit miffed Doug only gave it an 8/10 in the styling category, I think this is the best looking super car.
I think it's definitely a 9, it would be a ten if the 2003 model didn't exist, that one didn't have as much functional aero, so it's gorgeous shapes and lines stood out more. That model has got to be top 3 prettiest supercars ever, this one is still beautiful tho, and I'd say probably cooler and meaner looking due to that aggressive aero.

I don't understand the issue. The Lexus LS you're mentioning is a 10-year-old car with increasingly ancient technology -- it doesn't even have Bluetooth Audio or blind spot monitors. The Ford GT has a hydraulic lifting system, an insane LCD gauge cluster that's fully configurable depending on your drive mode, and modern Ford sync.
"Features" isn't an objective standard, because some cars will have features that other cars won't. What's an axle lifter worth on a supercar, versus ventilated seats on a luxury car? You just have to try to approximate it the best you can.

This is my personal opinion, but this is the *most* beautiful vehicle I have *ever* seen. I'm not a car guy...I don't even drive these days. But I think cars are interesting, and if I was given the opportunity to own any automobile that ever existed, no stipulations, I'd pick the new Ford GT without a second thought.

I think it's different because it's the fact that on a Corvette you have to push the button on the inside of the door, but on this you just push the flap and it pops open, something about seeing the actuating part

Secondly, the Doug score is literally built so that newer cars have the advantage in the daily categories. Also true for SUVs and Sedans over a 2 seater. Those categories easily make up any losses that those vehicles would have for style and performance.

Comparing a C8 to this car is like comparing a Bugatti to a Saturn V. The Bugatti is a desirable cheap fast car (C8) compared to a Mega ultra fast Rocket monster aka Track monster like the Ford GT. One is striped and is entirely unique to the entire car industry and one is a really good cruiser and first mid engined car from a company that had to prove its good at it. The Ford GT has nothing to prove. It has proven to be a fantastic car and monster in Le Mans.
