Scotty then didnt fix spark plugs popping out, the Tritons engines are full of problems from spark plugs that brake off, strip the threads out, and the oil valleys for the top end are too small and clog up very easy. They also were bad for cavitation. Any Triton after 2005 is perfectly fine though. I still really like ford, just not those years. There's a reason why you can pick a used one up for $700 that runs and drives anyday of the week.

I've got a '95 2WD 1500 with almost exactly 200k miles on it and I just had an unusual problem.. the U-bolts that hold the rear end to the leaf springs rusted into. Luckily, I was on the dirt road when they broke. I tried to back up and the rear end rolled forward and dropped my drive shaft, broke my E-brake cable, both brake lines and egg shaped the hole in my drive shaft for the U joint. I'm about to get it going again and will be glad to have it back. I was considering selling it but it's so easy to work on and dependable that I guess I'll just start fixing the stuff that's neglected on it. Motor is still great but need to replace my valve cover gasket. My 4L60E doesn't like to shift down in a hard acceleration, which gets on my nerves but other than that it runs great.

Bought a 96 k3500 with a 454 gas milage is aweful. But it's a truck I use to haul boats. 235,000 highway miles and run amazing paid 3500 for the truck and came with a western plow. Truck is solid, came from Arizona and has absolutely no rust. Easily the deal of a century.

So is a T-100 a Tundra also? I found a '99 T-100 for sale recently that looks super clean and runs great with about 190K miles. It has the V6... I was wondering if these were as well built as the Tundras

DT NA The 3.4 V6 in the t100 is a non interference engine so even if the timing belt did snap it wouldn’t do damage I’m not sure about the 3.0 options if they are non interference or not

@@tommichaels2466 A t100 is Toyota’s first attempt at a full sized truck it didn’t sell to well because it had a v6 they were made from 93-98 then they came out with the tundra it’s nothing for a t100 to go 300,000-400,000 miles with the 3.4 v6 just like the early Tacoma’s obviously not as much power as the v8 tundra but still very durable and built very well just like most Toyota’s

(Idler and pitman arms, bushings while I was at it) 2 water pumps. That is all I’ve had to do on it in 15 yrs. It is a solid truck.

The "long term" is something that's not on many buyers mind anymore... people don't like it when things go out of style looks wise, be it smart phones or clothes or whatever.
I think these car companies are thinking why design something that's gonna last for 30 years when our customers just get a new car in 5 to 7 years?
