I’ve watched many people rewire their boats on UA-cam and not gotten bored. I’m sure I wouldn’t get bored watching you rewire your camper. It beats what I’m doing in my life!
I think I'd scare people if they seen me wire lol.
A man after my own heart.A man who drives a Ford. As a licensed electrician. I wish I was close enough to help.
I wish you were closer to. Lol.
It was great seeing you and Alice and Martin meeting up the other day. Good luck to Troy on his last day of hunting. This has been a great series of videos to watch.
It was nice

Well Kurt, you know what to do! Go ahead a get "First Class" rolling in the fields to finally get some game/deer 🦌 !
Modern problems require modern solutions!
Check for a ground fault outlet with the reset button, may be hidden, but a good place to start.
Check the grounds on the camper first....make sure the connections are clean
HELLO KURT PRAY YOU & YOUR FAMILY HAD A BLESSED CHRISTMAS ! BACK TO THE OLD GRIND FOR ALL OF US MAN IT WAS GOOD WHY IT LASTED ! BE BLESSED ! PRAY FOR A GREAT NEW YEAR ! 🇺🇸🙏
If you install led lights in the ford please adjust them so they don’t blind the traffic you meet. So many people put them in a taller truck like ours and don’t adjust them down a little. They look to be on bright all the time. Hopefully Troy will have a deer as I am watching the video. Good luck with the wording. There are two helpful UA-cam guys that helped me a lot when I was still camping. One was rviing with Tito I think. If I can find the other who is a certified event technician and he covers all things even. If I find him I will send the information to you. Y’all stay safe and havagudun.
Sitting in a stand with your child is so awesome.
Amazing as always. God bless you all
Kurt get a telephone toner and send the tone from the bulb back to the 12v source and see where it is missing. Old crap like you have ( I have almost the same thing) is almost always corrosion at any place it is either spliced or terminated . Happy holidays and use dielectric grease on the bulb sockets.
Best of Luck Troy, hope you all had a Merry Christmas.
Hope you all had a good Christmas 🎄.
Be safe out there.
tell Troy to put some vanilla extract on his clothes. that is what a friend of mine used to do to mask the human scent from deer. It always worked for him. Just a thought.
unsented laundry detergents, no fabric softener. wrap your hunting cloths in a charcoal bag
Good to see you on Trucking Togethers channel the other day. Have also saw you on Amsoil Adams YT channel. UA-cam friends doin stuff. Great videos Kurt but please come to North Carolina and get your cold weather and take it back up there.
Well good luck , I wanted to go and learn how to work on Harley Davidson's , and go to the school for one year and I found out that it is 40 to $60,000 Bucks , and it depends on what you want to learn , or if you want a cheaper class , it would be cheaper, But if a person is going to do it you do not want to half ass learn , you want to learn from A to Z
Better you than me when it comes to automotive wiring. Definitely to tight an area to be working in.
Hope you have had a good Christmas and have a happy new year. It has been very interesting to see how much patience is needed to hunt. We are not allowed to have guns or hunt in most of the UK unless you have licences, land and money.
Hope you and the family had a great Christmas! Stay warm! Brrrr 🥶
We did Jane thank you
chasing wiring problems can be the worst good luck brudda'
Make sure the camper elec. has a good ground.
IF you need help wiring it all up holler brother
🍭SWEET🍭EEEeeeGads WIRES!!! I hate WIRES! YIKES😖
Hope you get your white tail🦌👍🏼Good Luck🍀
It doesn't help that dad keeps driving up and down the road all day long ....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He'll get one
I was entertained 🤷♂️
Thank you
hey Kurt, Merry Christmas. from what I see, you are showing us the 110 volt side of things. There should be a 12 volt side of things with a fuse panel. They are separate from each other. What is not working?
You should be able to find the wiring diagram for that specific camper in a pdf file. Then you can rig up some insulated panels for the canvas area when it's popped up and you should be good to go. That's why I let my husband do the wiring thing. Don't electrocute yourself and God bless.
The last sentence is the important one lol.
One wire at time
Hey on my camper and a lot of older campers for some odd reason they use white wire as grounds and green for hot/positive
Yup that was it
smart enough to avoid the radious of a loud diesel truck and exhaust.
take the camper off your rig, just incase of fire 🔥
Iowa deer are farmer trained to vehicles. They get more skudish when they see people walking
im the same way buy old stuff
Wiring isn't that hard.
Use proper tools & hardware and fuse everything accordingly.
If you are unsure about the wiring quality of old existing wiring, replacing that is a good idea. Also make sure to watch out for possible rub-out spots and better run wiring in trunking or plastic conduit that's supposed to prevent rub-outs in vehicles.
Use Wago connectors instead of wire nuts - they're way better if used correctly. The transparent Wago 221 makes it very easy to double-check your work too and if you need to remove a single wire, that's very easy and quick with those.
Do you have a multimeter to measure resistance and voltage? If not, go get one. I recommend a basic "Uni-T UT210E" that can also measure current.
That's an incomplete list of things that came to mind - but it'll get you started. If you have further questions, feel free to ask :3
I have a idea that we used in our old camper we had home type of braker box and put it in the closet and ran all of the wiring into it I think it was a 100amp, great video and God bless from GA and happy holidays 👍
Thank you
O-H-I-O Porter greetings.🇺🇸 Brrrrr, it’s cold outside!❄️ How can you be bored when working on wiring or hunting? The location of the wiring does seem a bit tight. I’m catching up on your videos. How’s the camper working out for you guys? Does the top crank up higher? It looks like it might. Is the camper a “Keeper”? It does look good on your truck. Hope that you had a good Christmas!🎄 We sure did! Until next time my friend! Blessings!🥰❄️✌️
Ground that battery to truck
Look for a GFI in that camper
Yikes, well, the wiring looks like it was put in while the camper was being built with no way to access anything. You can try to do continuity tests to see if there are any broken connections. Unless you have a schematic, which you probably don't it's going to be really hard to dissect the problem without taking the camper apart and checking things. The guy that did it probably didn't figure it would be a big deal and would never need repairs, so what you have is probably all you're gonna get, but ask him if he has a schematic anyway. Maybe the plug you mentioned messing with is bad? It shouldn't be an overly complicated task, but it's buried and hard to get at, which is what sucks. At least that's my take. Good luck to you.
Such a dork 😮
Could it be a GFI switch? I know it sounds simple but it went out in my pop up and lost everything very thing
If i lived near you I would gladly help you with your wiring issues. I love to play with electricity.
Wish you did.
Shuld have a 🦌
Ive enjoyed your videos for sometime now but I can't watch your videos relating to deer hunting, I know hunting is a big thing in America and Canada but I hope your hunt is unsuccessful
What exactly is the problem with the wiring. What is it doing? 12 volt camper systems are.pretty simple and you have a large audience here to help. Is it working off 12v but not 115 shore power?
That’s why driving to the blind isn’t a smart thing to do.
Hi
Hello
Did you check fuse
There isn't any
I thought it was interesting 🤔
LoL ! that s right ! they come right at the wrong moment crossing the hiway ! not much we can do ! a deer won t make much damage when you have a moose bumper but those moose ! geez ! they re so blind and stupid ! i hit many moose in the Rockies ! i was trucking for 10 years out western Canada ! the good thing is there s less every year for a few reasons ! # 1 they are controled by using wolves ! if tere s too many around a road they will insert a pack of wolves to scare away the moose ! 🤓
Dumb road dents #Whitetail
I'm sure you are following the viewership numbers: these deer hunting, etc vid's are getting about half of your normal trucking vid's. views. I might be concerned that although your sub count is up, not too many subs are actually watching.... Frankly it's getting a little boring.
Luckily, there are about 2,000 other trucking channels you can go to. I find the trucking videos boring, and they are done for the foreseeable future.
@@truckingwithschmidt7120 I've always felt you had a winning formula between trucking and home videos. I'm sad that you have decided to end that.
It's still trucking, just walking away for a min.
