I watched this game live. I can't really explain it, but as soon as it became clear the punt wasn't going out of bounds, there was this feeling in the air that it was gonna be a big return. Even after DJax muffed the punt
As an eagles fan this is a top 3 moment all time. Vick and D Jax will forever be eagles after this game
Hearing the change in the tone of the crowd as the play goes from botched return to touchdown is exhilarating. I have no connection to either team, but there is nothing more exciting in sports than a huge play breaking loose with the hopes of thousands riding on the outcome. A moment in history, for sure.
I’ve been looking forward to a rewind of this exact play an Eagles fan!! The back story was very accurate especially with the QB situation leading up to the 2010 season. 2010 was definitely a new era and identity since Dawkins, McNabb, and Westbrook all left.
Thank you as an eagles fan I was waiting for this one
Can’t wait for the “Philly special deserves…”
If I could ever make one request: Delmon Young’s bases loaded double in the 2014 ALDS against the Tigers. I love every single one of these!!!
The 2010 Eagles season has to be one of the most memorable seasons in NFL history
How? They were one and done in the playoffs.
@@willschrantz474 Forget the playoffs. This team had just about everything else. The headlines, the close games, the memorable plays, the explosiveness. This Eagles season was fun, regardless of the end result
@@willschrantz474 waaaah waaah look at me. I only like teams with playoff success
@@willschrantz474 To be fair they lost to the Packers who won the Super Bowl that year.
@@charlesdunn442 and they lost by 5 points and Ackers missed 2 FGs that game.
This brings up painful memories lol. I vividly remember telling the people I watched this game with "Giants games are always one possession games by the 4th" when they had the 24-3 lead, and "I have a bad feeling we're about to lose" as they lined up to punt smh
One of my favourite games.
Thanks for the rewind guys!
This was a great video. I've watched this replay probably a million times but never seen it put together like this. Bravo
I love it when fans of each team comment how these rewinders made them feel! So authentic man, I love sports lol.
I remember watching this game at home with my dad, found out the next year I had a bunch of friends at that game. Great great moment as an Eagles fan!
Absolutely love these rewinds. I really hope you guys will go back and rewind the Jimmy Butler missed 3 pointer in the 2021-22 NBA Finals. So many amazing story lines throughout the series as well as the whole season for both teams. The Celtics coming back from mid season to make the finals. The controversial call on the Max Strus 3 pointer. It would be amazing
My mom is a Giants fan but we are all eagles fan when I tell you I've never heard her scream like that in my life 😂 we were jumping up and down and everything. Top 5 eagles plays in history
Then the Eagles didn't win a single game for the remainder of that same year. Got beat by Joe Webb lead Vikings win the next week at home lol the more embarrassing game for the Giants was losing to a 1-7 Dallas team at home. Pathetic.
2011 World Champions!
@@dco2006 so this play is still bad ass and we won a chip in 2017 can't say much for the giants as of recently 😂
@@seangrever3506 still clinging on to that? Up until 2017 in the Delaware Valley area Super Bowls were "things of the past".
Now you guys won't seem to shut up about 2017? Also ... Beating new england in the SB? Yawn. Did that twice before it was cool. 👊😎
One team was 18-0. 2017 isn't recent lol
@@dco2006 Lol now Philadelphia Eagle fans of all people acting as if their team wasn't connected to any championship droughts of their own 🙄 so many people who got to see super bowl 52 their relatives have passed on after living full lives of not seeing them win a championship lol pathetic franchise
@@dco2006 sounds like a sad giant fan have fun going 2-16 this year 😂😂
I remember that game like it was yesterday. Amazing play by DJAX 🦅🏈 he was fun to watch back then when I was in high school.
I'm not an american football guy, but I am a sports fan who is addicted to context. I love the content you put out as it really puts the storylines of professional sports into something even a filthy casual like myself can enjoy and appreciate. Thank you Secret Base.
I still remember this game like it was yesterday. Go Eagles!
This was my first ever football memory (I was 7). My dad was a giants fan and tried to raise me as such, but he avoided having me watch any TV for a long time and as such, I missed most of the Giants' two superbowl runs. He let me watch this game because I didn't have school the next day, but after this point I didn't really watch any Giants games until I was probably 9 or 10. My memory of being raised as a Giants fan is this play, then the end of Coughlin, the reign of McAdoo, and the benching of Eli Manning for Geno Smith. As you can probably imagine, I am no longer a Giants fan. #TitanUp
Watched this game from beginning to end and I cried like we won the Super Bowl! 😂🤣
FINALLY, been asking for this one for so long. Now do Tiger's chip at the 05 masters on the 16th hole
I remember folding my clothes in the living room and watching the last quarter to this game and just losing my mind and running into the garage to get my dad right before the game ended. He couldn’t believe how I was describing what had just happened in the last few minutes.
These videos, and your commentary on them, are just so unbelievably well done. Covering all aspects, leading us backwards and forwards and back and forward again, absolutely fantastic job 👍🏻 100% hooked on these right now lol
PLEASE do this same exact thing starting with the "philly philly" play" granted most people know about it! As a Swedish Eagles fan i still can´t really grasp WTH happened that year, how could this lightning in a bottle happen! With your knowledge, amazing narration and analytics it would be such a TREAT!
One of the greatest comeback games ever.
So was 2006 Giants vs Eagles. Giants down 24-7 in the 4th and win in 30-24 in OT.
@@dco2006 sounds just as exciting as this was. Syke sounds lame af
@@nickynomads7410 Only because it happened against your team lol the time to brag about regular season comebacks only comes around when it's a Philly one
@@nickynomads7410 Nah it was great watching the Giants make a comeback on the Eagles turf. Funny how you guys choose to forget it. 24-7 turned into 30-24 in 2006.
Never forget.
Still have nightmares of this game, took a long time for me to even watch highlights from this game 🥺🤦🏽♂️
We won the super bowl the very next year

I am super happy to finally see my favorite series from this UA-cam channel get sponsors like Honda that is awesome
In a spectacular case of "sometimes the mix is no mix", DeSean literally takes the ball, stands up right and bolts straight forward down mid and everyone just misses the tackle. GOAT status.
Well the Giants really didn’t miss, so much as they literally domino toppled each other after one got blocked into another😂
@@picklenik9658 That's that NFC East Football in action
I have virtually no attachment to any team in the NFC East, but out of all the regular season games I've ever seen, this is still the most memorable I've ever watched.
This was only the second year I was really truly into football too, so that has something to do with it. This is the game that personally sealed the deal and made me a football fan for life.
I have some suggestions/ideas for episodes of "Rewinder" on UA-cam.
Ideas/suggestions:
1.) Barcelona's comeback win over PSG in the Champions League in 2017
a.) March 8th, 2017 - Camp Nou Stadium in Barcelona - UEFA Champions League Round of 16 - Barcelona vs PSG - Barcelona down 4 to 0 after the first leg but win 6 to 1 in the 2nd leg to win 6-5 on aggregate - Sergi Roberto (who came on as a substitute) scores the winner
2.) Australia qualifies for 2006 FIFA World Cup
a.) November 16, 2005 - Sydney (Australia) - Australia vs Uruguay - penalty shootout to decide if AUS or URU goes to the FIFA World Cup - John Aloisi scores the winning penalty kick for Australia - AUS after coming so close so many times qualifies for first World Cup in 32 years

Thanks to this play the Packers got in over the Giants as the 6th seed and eventually win the Super Bowl. Thanks Eagles!
GO PACK GO!
Y’all beat us in round 1. You’re welcome.
We finished 10-6 and missed the playoffs just to go 9-7 and win the SB crazy
Always awesome to watch a sports video loaded with still photographs.
As an Eagle fan I remember being at a party with this game surround by Giant fans. When the Eagles went down everyone trashed me and kept it piling on. As I watched the Eagles slowing come back I sat their quietly as I watched all the giants fans become less confident and grow more concerned. As the last play went down you could hear the shouts of “No! What are you you doing? Stop Him!” And as Jackson crossed the goal line with triple zeros on the clock the room was dead silent as I let out an evil diabolical laugh that haunted friends and family for years to come. One of my favorite games ever.
Lets goooo! Been wanting this one for ages!
I remember this game. Helped propel Green Bay to the super bowl
It’s one of the things Packers needed to happen for Green Bay to make playoffs. Giants win that game and Packers are out.
@@travismiller4320 it's a shame Jackson didn't have a charity, otherwise Green Bay could have done what Buffalo did with Andy Dalton lol
@@SuperNuclearUnicorn I remember Green Bay giving that Arizona WR Nate Poole who caught the TD pass vs Vikings that knocked Minnesota out of playoffs and putting Green Bay in a key to the city. I think that was 2003.
It was never a shock to me that the 2010 Packers could win a Super Bowl as a #6 seed Wild Card
What still amazes me that they were so good that they never trailed by more than 7 points in at in the season and they still needed to make the playoffs
Ironic because the eagles were the first team the Packers beat in that playoff run
I honestly forgot this moment, so it was nice to see it for the first time again.
Nothing better than waking up on a Saturday with a new secret base video!
Here on the 12 year anniversary of the Miracle At The New Meadowlands.
leave us alone atleast we got 5 to your 1
as an eagles fan, its always awesome to see these amazing eagles wins over the giants but somehow NY comes back from it and wins a super bowl the next year

As a eagles fans.............This game is legendary !!!
Miracle in the Meadowlands II
I was 21 at the time of this game. this is the most amazing thing Ive seen in my life time as an Eagles fan
The last block before he breaks for a touchdown is devastating I never noticed this before. As a Giants fan I freaking cried after this, but props to the block at the end. The block from hell.😯😮😲😳💀🏈
I’ll never forget that Monday night game against Washington. Never seen an NFL offense play like that man so exciting
As a Giants fan I still haven’t gotten over this YET 🤦🏾♂️😅
One of the greatest things ever for an Eagles fan. Nice to see. Bad to see as to what the rest of the season would go very ugly.
Best rewinder of all time! Almost like a miracle.
This was one of my first big shorts moments where I learned it’s never over until it’s over
THANK YOU!!! Been waiting for this for months
Jason Avant deserves a postscript for the huge (probably illegal) block that cleared the way for Jackson. Avant was something of a folk hero in Philly for a bit, despite never becoming a big threat on offense.
As a Giants fan I can confirm that Jason Avant was super underrated.
And This time, DeSean Jackson remembered to keep holding the ball UNTIL he crossed the goal line before celebrating LOL
I remember watching this game and thinking the Giants should win, there’s no way they would blow this, but then I thought as soon as I turned the game off to something else, just stay with this game, you never know what could happen, and sure enough, my better judgment was right, one of the great comebacks by the Eagles I’ve seen.
This game will always hold a special place in my heart because it allowed Green Bay to sneak into the playoffs as a 6 seed and win the super bowl with some guy named Aaron Rodgers
Ill always love this play since it helped the Packers get into the playoffs. Also I had to go back when i heard podody's nerfect since that was hilarious😂
It was the Sunday after Christmas and we were celebrating with my mom’s side. Desean unexpectedly showed up as Santa. Awesome present.
that one dude on philly either 86 or 88 had an illegal block in the back that knocked over 3 Giants...
You're right but the Giants were completely gassed at that point, having had a shortened week, and would've lost in OT anyways assuming the Eagles wouldn't have scored with ten seconds left.
No mention of Giants Punter Matt Dodge? Because my fondest memory of this game is Tom Coughlin yelling at the punter after this kick saying “WHAT DID I F***ING TELL YOU?!”
