You just helped me to rescue my treadmill (Pro Runner 46-XT). It was slipping a lot. I first tried to apply silicon underneath the running belt and gave a few 90o clockwise turns on the screws at the back (still slipping so I put the screws back where they were before as it was way too tight). That was before watching your video. Then I check the drive belt tension as you mentioned. Could twist the drive belt almost 90o! Adjusted the tension tightening those screws and BANG! Problem solved! Thanks very much! All the best, mate! Cheers, from Auckland, New Zealand
Thanks for this video! I am having a nightmare tightening a belt. I don't understand how if you use the 2 bolts to move it left or right that you can then use the same bolts to tighten it... doesnt it just shift the belt...? im trying to get the belt straight and then turn it off and turn both bolts to the right, however it is just slipping again after one use. Advice appreciated!
@@coloradocardio any tips appreciated as i am having to straighten it after every use now because i just cant tighten it (as is evidenced by the fact it is slipping off centre every usage!) thanks
I have these dumb little covers on the rear of the treadmill that hover over the belt and no matter how much i level or tighten the belt? it’s always rubbing against it. Is there a fix of this???
I have the same Precor c956i! No one seems to explain why a treadmill belt, when walking , sounds like it’s being dragged across sandy concrete, even when lubed.I’ve a new pre waxed deck. The belt I got had a liquid wax bottle included, w instructions to apply throughout the belt bottom before installing. Though I didn’t apply more than an ounce, I get this extremely irritating walking belt across sandy concrete sound!?! Any thoughts?
Hello there ... I replaced the drive belt, lubricated the running belt/board and tightened the as suggested and still slipping. How do I know if it is time to replace the running belt or the board? They both look ok to me ... thanks in advance
you can feel the deck under the running belt and if you feel big grooves and bumps the deck is too worn and needs replaced along with a new belt. be sure to keep lots of silicone on your deck to reduce the friction this is what causes a worn belt/sticking belt
@@coloradocardio Thanks ... it ended up been a slipping pulley at the front roller ... the belt was white underneath so decided to keep using it ... so far it has worked!
Is it normal for the wheel on the engine to be slightly more towards the middle than the wheel on the first roller? It looks like the drive belt on my treadmill is out of the grooves.
l could hear my motor lugging on every step when l was running so l cleaned everything and added some silicone.it seemed to work better but soon the motor was whi ning again. the running board was wore so l turned it over and added some more silicone .after 3 or 4 times usage it started again, it seemed like the silicone wasn't working-like a dragging/ sticking feeling effect. l tried a non silicone lube -didnt do much better how do l tell if its the motor or the running belt
I have an Image 1050se and the belt goes for about half a mile, then the belt starts to stick, then the treadmill just stops. I checked the drive belt. It looks like it's out of the grooves but it was tight enough. The wheel on the engine for some reason is farther to the middle than the wheel on the first roller. Is this normal? I think I need to put the belt back in the grooves or buy a new drive belt and to this but It just doesn't make sense that the wheel on the engine and the wheel on the first roller don't line up.
Hello do you know why my belt won’t lay flat? It’s brand new. Lubricated and was off center so fixed that. But the belt has ripples in it will not lay flat. It’s so frustrating.
I don’t know if it’s too late to ask questions, but so every time I turn on my treadmill, I put any number on it, it goes, then it stops like it’s turned off, but it’s on, but it just doesn’t move is it the belt? Or something else
Hey I got some issues with my treadmill… first of all the speed is really fast on the lowest setting and the sound is pretty loud I recentered my running belt but that wasn’t the issue. I’m not sure what to do
@@drdrippin5389 You had stated that there was a pretty loud noise, without being there and see/hearing it it's hard to tell whats going on. But yes I would check the belt to make sure its tight and apply belt silicone so it runs smoothly. Take the cover off where the motor is and listen too see if you can hear it from the drive belt or the drive motor.
Hello I was wondering if you can help me with my treadmill. When you are walking on it it stops. Lighter people it still goes. I check the tightening screws they were fine I can put my hand a quarter of the way. The only belt is tight. What could be the problem? Thank you!
@@coloradocardio You just saved me a headache- I had the exact issue above and all it needed was the lubricant! I’m amazed!!! I had never lubricated it in 15+ years 😳 Poor thing was a warrior waving its white flag. THANK YOU!!!
If your belt is heating up there is too much friction... Need to add treadmill silicone and keep you very "slick" under the belt this will keep the friction down and eliminate the heat

We take them off and sand them down or cut/trim them down a bit and it fixes the problem.
Thank for helping i fix the treadmill it was easy the belt was tight so i untighten the belt and got it working
Awesome!

Would that fix the issue on my sole f80 treadmill ? I just replaced the running belt and still slipping
Yes this could possibly fix your treadmill

If you have enough silicone on the running deck where its not causing the drag and you still have the issue it is most likely a motor going bad
Very good video that helps me better understand the function of my Xiaomi Treadmill. In any case, better than a Chinese / English operating manual ;-)

Sounds like you need to silicone the underside of the belt, there is too much friction going on.
