Glad to hear you got your money back. Buying any items online can be a nightmare. Nearly every time i purchase something online i worry if i am going to get the item at all and or going to have my bank account broken into and robbed.

Hi from the UK.I just watched the Zaranyzerak Gets RIPPED OFF buying new who vid then watched this one,which answered the questions i was going to ask you.Hope you managed to get the new who dvds.I bought the Batman the animated series complete box set which it turns out was a bootleg so i kind of know how it feels.Gutted!
Still you should file another complaint against them alone, and hopefully that will be enough to convince eBay that they are blatantly breaking their rules and seller policies, not to sell false goods. BTW, nice job on the speeded up intro. :D
Good news! Glad you got it sorted. Still sucks you haven't found the legit sets though. Let's hope you manage to get them to complete your collection. I'm a stickler for consistency too. It annoyed me somewhat when Skyfall came out with different disc art than the Bond 50 set so they didn't match lol. I think they had a "we'll swap them for you" thing but I didn't bother with it due to laziness. Sometimes that beats the OCD part of my brain lol.

Honestly, I think it would be silly to seek out the DVD sets if your goal is to acquire the episodes and all of the extra features. With the Blu set, not only do you get all 7 seasons, but the Specials as well. Also, despite being filmed in SD, the Blu-Ray will still be better than the DVD sets, even if it's a marginal uptick in quality. The only reason to seek out the DVD sets is for fancy packaging. Personally, I prefer unity in my collection so Blu it is. My OCD will not allow it otherwise :p
My Books-A-Million still has Series 1 of the New Doctor Who in its Original box set for $75. I got mine from Walmart that in a smaller box set for $20.
I always watch his vids after work when I'm the only one up. I have been watching Z man's vids for years and know he swears from time to time so I am sure to watch them as usual after work to relax at the end of the day and be able to watch them without any family complaining about the occasional swearing. In fact I would never watch any youtube vid with kids around if I don't know for sure that the channel is cursing free. It's called thinking the fuck ahead. What a concept. Fucking A. lol

Brings back painful memories on how I got Amazon'd into purchasing Doctor Who the new series 05,06 on DVD and they were bootlegs of course.
Thanks to your vid series I found about them but I was to late to recover my loses.
I have since repurchased them on Blu-ray from Amazon [When will I ever learn] and they are legit though.
I also purchased series 7 Part 1,2, & the Snowmen on Blu-ray and these are legit since I picked them up @ Best Buy for 15.00 minus 5.00 each with the DVD trade in.

It's great to hear that you got your money back from seller 1, but seller 2 still ripped you off, they should have also refunded you for the postage to have it sent back as well, quite a few sellers do offer to refund postage costs as well as far as returns are concerned, obviously this other seller is still playing people, and hopefully eBay WILL kick their cheating asses sooner rather then later.
So the upcoming Blu-Ray box set is an upscale? That seems really lame.... So should I go ahead and try to track down the box sets that are already out there? Or do you think they're going to be rereleasing them on DVD again?

dr who is filmed in pal so why get the region 1 that is ntsc?
it isn't in the flip open case the it was originally in, this is in a 5 disc dvd case. Must be a re-release from BBC.
I've found those DVDs in Barnes and Noble
is the u.s.included in region 1?

If you still haven't picked up season 1 yet, I picked it up today at walmart for $20. I have only seen them at 2 walmart's which aren't even close to me. Luckily I was coming back from somewhere that I could stop at one that did. I can send pics if you want, just shoot me a PM.

I've just been buying the slim pack versions directly from amazon. Not as nice as the box versions but hey at least they're legit.

Yes, I did detailed videos abut each one naming and shaming them on my ZaranyzerakResponds channel. And yes, I got full refunds on all of them.
One of them actually closed their accounts on ebay.

Find a better time to watch this stuff. People cant stop swearing in videos because of kids.
Nope when using a site like youtube there is no sort of watershed or age rating, anyone who uses the site should be old enough to deal with the language appropriately in a mature manor if not get off the site. There are worse things on youtube and due to Peter Capaldi being the doctor I would warn your children to not look up the thick of it. Deal with it you're the parent to those kids. Not him.
The youtuber should be blamed, because the subject is about Doctor Who which a lot of children are interested in. It was completely inapproriate.
It's like someone posting a Peppa Pig video then half-way through swearing their mouth off!
