Freddie was and is one of the greatest performers
Michael Jackson went to queen concerts all the time. He really admired them and Freddie.
Great reaction. Freddie was told what to wear in that venue, so that is what he decided to wear. They also told the audience not to sing. So Freddie wore basically nothing and encouraged the audience to join in. He was his own man and brilliant. 😁👍🏾
Yep, that's exactly what Freddie's response was, brilliant idea!
Only Freddie was brave enough to get on stage in these short shorts, he did it several times, but there is a story behind these white shorts. It was a filmed concert, shooted in 2 nights and the director wanted them to weare the same cloths on the 2nd night, this was Freddie's response to the director. 🤣
Watch the whole Live Aid set (20 minutes long.
You must keep in mind that the crowd (Live Aid) even didn't know they were coming, because Queen were added to the list when all the tickets were sold out. THIS WAS NOT A QUEEN CROWD BUT STILL THEY STOLE THE SHOW.
Freddie commanded the crowd at 2 stadiums simultaneously(Wembley and Philadelphia) and HAD THEM IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND. Queen's performance at Live Aid is voted MOST ICONIC festiwal moment in music history.
Check out Fat bottomed girls live at Bowl 82, Under pressue live at Wembley 86, Love of my life Rock in Rio 85
You mentioned Fat Bottom Girls…have you ever seen the video they did for that song?😂 Pretty sure you can find it on UA-cam and I don’t want to give a spoiler-but it’s worth looking into! I never expected what I saw🤣🤣 All I will say is if you an overly jealous lady in your life don’t let her see you watching it🤭
I saw Queen the first time in 1975, I was 18 years old. Saw them several more times and they were absolutely perfect every time. Still loving them 50 years later.
You should do some early Queen, during their glam rock days. White Queen, Liar, March of the Black Queen. Queen’s discography is extensive encompassing all kinds of genres, classic rock, hard rock, metal, R&B, funk, soul, jazz, folk, ballads, variety/vaudeville, Freddie even dabbled in opera and musical theatre, the list goes on.
Queen is one of the greatest bands of all time. Their catalog is so diverse. Please react to Somebody to Love live in Montreal from 1981. You’ll love it. Also check out their full set from Live Aid July 13, 1985 at Wembley Stadium
Booty shorts were popular in the 1980s. In the 1970s they were called Hot Pants.
"Another One Bites The Dust" was written by Queen Bass Guitar player, John Deacon.
He’s definitely up there with Michael! He was one of Michael’s inspirations actually - Michael went to a lot of their shows, even back in the 70s, and convinced them to release this song when they played it for him and they weren’t sure! It came out before Billie Jean.
No one really has a deeper catalogue than Queen either. I’ve always been a huge Michael fan and their performance styles are so different that it’s hard to compare, but I give Freddie the edge. Watch Live Aid! It’s a 20-minute set at a larger show with some of the most legendary performers of all time and it’s consistently voted the best performance EVER. They stole the show with no lighting, no effects, and with a crowd who purchased tickets before Queen was even on the roster with performers like Elton John, Led Zepellin, David Bowie, and U2 present. Best not only of that day but of all time. Watch the whole thing! It’s why I think Freddie is the best performer ever - it’s so hard to hold a crowd in the palm of your hands with no special effects, choreography, and a limited amount of time. Especially when the crowd is there on a hot summer day and didn’t even come for you specially. And he did it!
Elvis
I agree with you, Freddie is the best vocalist ever!!!
@@kellycrook543 One of the greatest ever, but very unique!
This was written by John Deacon (bass player). They weren't going to release this as a single but Michael Jackson came to one of their concerts, heard it and was convinced it would be a hit & was insistent they release it as a single.
HEY HON…
Do you know that Queen released a NEW song this last week? (YEP… with Freddie’s vocals!)
“FACE IT ALONE”
In the song’s first day, it went to Number 1 on ITunes… in 22 COUNTRIES.
In the three days it’s been out, on YT it’s had OVER 6.5 MILLION views.
The song is from their 1989 demo sessions/it had never been finished. (In the original live demo, Freddie’s vocals were kind of “lost” in the live instrumentation… some genius editors were able to “pull” Freddie’s vocals out so we can hear them now, crystal clear!)
I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOUR REACTION TO IT!
Michael Loved Freddie. They did two songs together. State of shock and there must be more to life.
Ooooh! Freddie in his short shorties! Best legs in rock n roll along with Tina Turner, of course! Freddie wore the shorts to F##k with film continuity after production urged the crowd to stay in their seats & tried to encourage Queen to wear the same clothes over the two-night event (editing purposes). Freddie was having none of it.
You can fucking tell FM doesn't give a fuck... he just being himself... NO fucks given...
That's what makes him great.
We Live and Learn, Amazed, You Took it, ALL IN...Unique Reaction Enjoyed
Michael Jackson told Queen to release Another One Bites The Dust as a single in the United States. It went to #1 immediately.
Freddie, is evolved way beyond what we know as human in every aspect of his life .Freddie and Michael did Two songs together .
No ranking required. Only one Freddie & never going to be another one.
You got that right! Love love love Freddie! I'm so bummed I never got to see Queen in concert. I was in elementary school in the 70's and Junior high 77-81.
@@ajruther67 same, I’m so envious of everyone who got to see him perform live.
Freddy was just as perfect live as in the studio! No auto tune back then! Pure raw talent 🥰🎶
Greatest frontman & voice everrrr!!
Loved your reaction!! ❤
“I’m surprised aint nobody faintn’ in the crowd”😂 that killed me bruh 😂
Freddie is one of a kind. We all still love him. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great reaction can't wait to see more❤️👑🎶
Yes, Freddy and those short-shorts. LMAO. I wear them that way too. 50 years old, and will not wear any pair of shorts longer than a 3" inseam. Great song. Enjoying your reactions.
I absolutely love Freddie!! ❤❤❤❤ Freddie lives on!!! Evertime I watch this video ..which is often..but I tell my husband I'm so jealous of Freddie's legs 🥰🥰 😂😂 Wish my legs looked as good as Freddie's in this video 😂 LOVE YOU FREDDIE 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
We were see his fit live back then! We will never have those days again. 😢
Greatness
The entire BAND is FIRE....
January 21 1977 I was right up front at a Queen concert(this was the year of Somebody to Love Day at Races). For the encore Freddie came out, barefoot, wearing a beautiful full Japanese kimono 👘. Singing Hey Big Spender -from the musical Sweet Charity- while doing a bump&grind striptease down to shorts that make the ones in this video seem normal! And, as if that wasn’t over the top, enough,… Suspenders were holding the shorts up!!!!! Red /white striped shorts and red suspenders.
Excellent choice, young man. Always a pleasure to watch someone who "gets it".
My first concert ever. Queen was phenomenal in concert!! Nobody can top them live.
Queen was Lit 🔥
Shorts were for the boys in the crowd lol
Gotta love you some Freddie ❤
OMG....boy you made me laugh out loud. Glad you love Freddy.
Did you know Queen wrote We Will Rock You AND We are The Champions? yup ,Queen all the way. Also, the collaborated with David Bowie on Under Pressure....Ice; Vanilla Ice used their iconic luck and was sued by Queen and maybe David Bowie's estate....for sure Queen sued Ice. FYI
David Bowie was still alive when he & Queen sued VI
Did you know that Freddie Mercury had an ability to blend highs, lows and mid range notes cohesively and with immense precision. This skill was due to the fact that Freddie was able to create faster vibrato and harmonics than any other singer at the time. Not only this, he was able to shift through registers effortlessly. I bet Justin Bieber can't do that!
In July 1985, there was a concert to help feed the starving people in Africa. It was called Live Aid. A 12 hour concert with many bands. Queen stole the show with their 20 minute set. The six-song set included “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Radio Ga Ga,” “Hammer To Fall,” “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” “We Will Rock You” and “We Are The Champions.
I highly suggest you watch that as I am sure many of your viewers would agree. Keep this set list handy when you watch it so you will know what song they are singing.
That was 1985 they were tennis shorts. That is was what professional tennis players wore back then.
New subscriber ❤️👍✌️
Freddie was off the chain great.❤️🔥❤️🔥. R.i.p. Freddie 💔💔💔
Dang- he almost got naked for this concert haha! Queen is so iconic and they never go out of style. My son played the drums for his school’s performance of “Somebody to Love”, and he dressed exactly like Roger Taylor did for Live Aid. Had the black and white striped wrist bands for that lol!
You have ask where they really singing. Always. To watch the best thing in history you definitely have to watch The Live Aid show of Queen in 85 .You will not believe your eyes or ears
I’m sure you’ve heard We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions during sports events. Probably never knew it was Queen!
That’s Freddie! A fucking legend!!! Gone way to soon! We love you Freddie forever!
You know you are great when you can come on stage barefooted.🤣😅😆🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Please watch "Find me somebody to love " Live in Montreal 🙏
Freddie was barefoot
React to queen - play the game live Montreal 1981. You will see masters at there craft at work. Feddie kills this one
Freddie and Michael did a duet. Michael was the one who told them to put this song out as a single. The song was written by the bass player, John Deacon, which is probably why it has one of the most iconic bass lines of all time. That and Under Pressure. You should react to their Live Aid performance, which is considered the greatest live rock performance of all time.
I think the definition of cool is when you are confident enough to give zero fucks about what people think. You are who you are. This guy was flamboyantly gay in the 70s - you simply didn't do this shit back then. He was such a badass that he was bulletproof.
watch Queen Live Aid 1985 worth it. We will we will rock you by Queen
1. Leon Russell 2.Beatles 3.MJ 4.Queen 5.Bee Gees

Queens body of work is huge it has influenced so many in the music world
And they still do to this day and will continue to influence many more in the future to come. They helped make mtv what they are today from there cutting edge videos which they created put mtv on the map. You will have a hard time finding a category for them because the music touches all kind of music. Queen is queen they were so unique and different.
They were so cutting edge and were so ahead of the time. Hope you can react to some of the above. You have know started to go the queen rabbit hole. Welcome to the queen army. There are plenty of more songs to go through. You are on the queen journey and Freddie and the band won't disappoint. RIP Feddie we miss you
This needs to be the Detroit lions theme song

Micheal Jackson was a fan of queen. He would go to queen concerts . Freddie new him
He was a very proud gay man..What can you say.
React to queen its late
Typo below..lick, iconic lick* not luck
Rank 5 top performers os all time: -1- Michael Jackson, -2- Prince...both of them, total talent, -3- Freddie Mercury then next two are tough....hummm off the top of my head: Whitney Houston
Elvis
@@polocash11 Elvis was just before my time...poodle skirts...roaring 20s flappers, lol....But Elvis is SO highly regarded by so many...the King of Rock & Roll, right?
NO...DON'T AGREE WITH NUMBER 1!!!!
@@kellycrook543 Did you list your top five? I don't see your favorites......
I definitely think Freddie mercury is number 1. He's the best performer and vocalist ever. The 2 through whatever, I don't really know....just know no one can ever beat Freddie at number 1.
While comparing top performers, you need to see the King of Rock one more time. Elvis. People knew him by his first name only.
Elvis Presley - Suspicious Minds ............... ua-cam.com/video/T1g5tVGZhfk/v-deo.html
There are a lot of singers and bands that put on great shows, but this guy paved the way for the rest.
The only people fainting in the crowd were the men…
They were swooning for him more than the women lol
Freddie was and always will be a beast ❤
