@@vincentgarzoli3197 I moved to Fairfield, in Solano county in 1986 and ironically never got involved much in the music scene there like I did in my home state of Washington. I had delusions of grandeur about trying out for Metallica. I was aware of a Vacaville based band called Lawz Rockit (Jason Newstead says their bassist did also try out!) before I left home as well as The mighty Armored Saint, we had their album Rise of the Saint. I can only imagine what might have been if my whole band had moved to the North Bay in the late seventies and early eighties! I love all of the bands that you mention. Possessed was another up and coming band at the time out Pinole, and one of their guitar players Larry LeLonde would later play with Primus--I think they started in Vallejo. Sounds like you are a little older than I am. I had just graduated high school in 1985 and was just a pup when most of these scenes were happening. A local guitar teacher at the Petaluma Music Center wound up playing in a glam band called Vain that did real well in the Bay Area and eventually got signed to Island Records. I think they still have a following in Europe and Japan. They also have a footnote claim to fame in that they partially broke up about the time Steven Adler was kicked out of Guns-N-Roses, and most of their members rounded out the band Steven Adler's Wrecking Crew, which never went anywhere as Adler was still deep into his addictions. But that starts opening up a whole other book on the Hollywood/LA era of my musical journey....

Eric Martin (then fronting his own band) lived about a half mile from my house--He would later go on to be the lead singer in Mr. Big with Paul Gilbert, Billy Sheehan and Pat Torpey. Lots of great rock going on in the North Bay back in those days.
Now I am in Ronnie James Dio home turf in New York State. Still rocking as much as I possibly can!
@@MichaelMaxwell747 Hey Michael, glad to here you are doing well and still keeping the faith musically. I imagine you got spell-checked on LAAZ Rockit. I remember them being a thing in clubs in the Bay Area along with another band called Roadrunner, and I think both of them had indie records out there, but no air play. in any case, I never heard much of their music.

@6:00 he still play as fast with brandless guitar. So why do people have to buy expensive guitars thinking that it makes your playing better?
It helps if you have a decent guitar so that you don't have to adjust your technique to compensate for bad equipment and can just focus on playing
