Leaves a lot of players Scarified.. Bruce is still one of the most underrated players, he co-wrote Miss Mistreater and Poison Eyes and holds his own with Paul on a stage. How many players can do that?
He's one of those thermal nuclear blues players! If I was David Coverdale I'd have tried to snag him over Vai. Vai is well..amazing. but I didn't care for him in WS. After hearing The Scream, Bruce would have crushed that gig!
i filmed it using a small sony camcord, i either sat it by my amp or handed it off to one of the stage techs. then different angles of the same song from different shows were edited toghether to one audio take except for the very end where you can hear the audio change.
man, we all know we're not worthy, but where can we find the correct tabs for your parts of the song?, in every video from back in the day and from now your stuff isnt very clear :(
Holy cow, This is such an "old" video post, But it transcends everything else still today. Just wow. Thanks for your work Bruce so much for the guitar community
Bouillet's sweep tapping, with a tapped slide on top which people think of as a more "modern" sweeping trick, back in the day used to (and still does) blow my mind! Yea, Paul's a beast and his string skipping approach is amazing, but Bruce is seriously underrated sometimes!
it gives me goosebumps watching these guys play one video of the same song 20+ years back, and then play it here. bruce and paul are a devastating combo.
That's Bruce Bouillet. He was in Racer-X with Paul in the early days. And...obviously still playing with Paul when he needs another deadly player. : ) He also has some great solo stuff.
How times have changed. Bruce has still got the finger-busting, wide interval shred chops whereas Paul barely moves out of the pentatonic box. And that bend! Bravo, Mr Bouillet.
@@cstones86 Who cares? I and plenty others do. Just because he’s earned it doesn’t mean he should just lose the qualities which made him an international guitar treasure.
Paul and Bruce made some great music together. Second Heat and the Extreme Volume Live albums are classics ! Paul is still one of the coolest guys you will meet in Rock in Roll.
correct... the audio is from one show minus the ending drum fills which you can hear the sound change.. the video portion was edited together from 22 different shows, shot by different people every night. as i would hand off the video camera to my guitar tech or monitor tech as i took the stage.... if you want a none edited performence try "CURSE OF CASTLE DRAGON" it's one of the few clips that didn't pan to the floor for 1/4 of the performance... you see no magic just video editing
I saw this live in Boston it was quite a surprise to see Bruce and Paul do that and few others the closest I have come to seeing racer x can't believe it was 15 years ago I wish they could do it again
went to see g3 show with paul gibert and was blown away bruce was playin! I owe so much to him for creating the best instructional video ever! the most under rated player !
Holy shit! I am 32 now but this shit brought me back to when I was 14! Can't believe these guys are still playing that freekin good! Terrifying and fun. Thanks for posting this.
I saw this tour at the House Of Blues in Orlando. What impressed me most is his wife Emi is doubling all of Paul's parts, and she's not breaking a sweat.
alright this is fucked up, bruce has 440 subs and I have almost 1600....god dammit youtube. people subscribe to the dude, he's a god damn guitar legend!
He had developed carpal tunnel playing Racer X stuff all the time and he had to change some stuff just to be able to play this tour, so he would literally have killed his hands if he was still playing racer x 24/7
This video is so cool, saw Racer x a couple times in Cali. A pretty rare show to catch. Bruce is a beast just like Paul. Got to talk to him about Rx at my booth at NAMM in 2015. Great guy who I wish we could get new music from.👍🏼🇺🇸
wow when bruce are bending is like a god!!!! and his sick sweep licks!!!! what a guitarplayer...he must had his own credit beyond the racer x stuff...he have his own guitar voice!!!!! so unique!!!
I love this version and think I might actually prefer it to the live shows of the 80's. Many more years of playing for Paul and Bruce and while it's still ridiculous in terms of technique, you can hear that they've grown musically in that time. This sounds more muscular and in control vs the frenetic feel of the earlier live shows. Both excellent for different reasons.
What an awesome track. I remember my dad playing me this from his second heat LP years and years ago, and it still sounds amazing. Though i know he has been doing some solo work, as well as producing other racer x albums (technical difficulties, etc), i thought that it was nice to see bruce back onstage with paul again. one of the most frightening guitar duo going. Opinions welcome....!
wow i thought i was like trippin out when i saw him switch guitars but then i just realized that its paul and paul can do whatever the hell that paul wants hahah this is such a great song
back in HS when frst heard their live show (Live 1?) i always thought that Bruce's solo was actually Paul playing (sorry Bruce lol) because my bro just handed me a maxell or tdk gold tape. Why did i think this? because i play guitar and my ears assumed that this was Paul ie: the better solo (more bluesy & melodic passages) and therefore it just HAD TO be Paul. Few yrs later i learned it was actually Bruce playing and i was really humbled. I love ya BOTH bruhski!👊👊oh... Bruce: you're SICK on the axe, brother. I hope i explained my story well enough.😄
I...must have been asleep that year! I can't understand how I not only didn't know PG was on the G3 tour in 2007, but that you were part of the band! I feel like I've let myself down. 😩
Ah the Shrapnel days. Shredders paradise. Gilbert/Boulliet, Freidman/Becker, McAlpine and Moore to name but a few. Miss those days
i would subsidize Shrapnel Records rather than wall street.
Boy r u correct... those were the DAYS!
@Dr Diablory I like his early work. his 2 first albums are killer.
Greg howe richie kotzen

Amazing to see Bruce Bouillet and Paul Gilbert together.

Thanks for making a video record of this performance. Your solo was awesome btw.
Great Job...as always!
I never got to see
Racer X so thank you so much Bruce!
I was 3rd row at this thing!!!!!!!
I know you’ve been asked this 1 million times but why did you not participate in the reunion albums and shows?
Words fail to describe how good it feels (and sounds) to see Paul and Bruce play Scarified together again :)
Racer X's soul live in those 2 men, those licks, those arpeggios and those solos!
I saw Racer X at the Omni in Berkeley back in the mid 80s. Mind boggling.
Loved Racer X and Cacophony!
This is how it should be played and it hasnt been played like this for a long time!
bruce bouillet, another underrated guitar hero....
Bruce always killed it
2:11
Holy cow, This is such an "old" video post, But it transcends everything else still today. Just wow. Thanks for your work Bruce so much for the guitar community
Oh shit Bruce Bouillet's solo!! *.*
gilbert has better marketing, but bouillet is way more intense as a player
Bruce is a beast
Bruce has the finesse and his notes are more intense than Gilberts
@@DarkMetalJazzPunk Different players. But PG surely had a sense of humor.

bruce is the most underated shredder of all time

Bruce's still got it!! amazing guitarist

wattage2007 agreed. Tafolla, Bouillet, Satchel. They have more varieties and don’t seem to play riff-based licks.
Who cares dude , let Paul play however he wants. I think he’s earned that
@@cstones86 Who cares? I and plenty others do. Just because he’s earned it doesn’t mean he should just lose the qualities which made him an international guitar treasure.
:O :O..That Bend by Bruce Bouillet....Seriously awesome!!!

Nice to see Bruce again. He is such a brilliant player..
Bruce from my hometown Vincennes Indiana..I seen him so many times with his band Mariah.... incredible guitar player
2 GUITAR GREATS ! Love watching Paul & Bruce ! 🎸💯💥👍🏻
Holy shit! I am 32 now but this shit brought me back to when I was 14! Can't believe these guys are still playing that freekin good! Terrifying and fun. Thanks for posting this.
Do you still listen to them?
I saw this tour at the House Of Blues in Orlando. What impressed me most is his wife Emi is doubling all of Paul's parts, and she's not breaking a sweat.
wow bruce bouillet what a fantastic tone!!!!!!!!!!!!
No Joke !!! Gibert & Bruce ... Simply Stellar 2o + Years of Science Drilled into my Head !!! Amazing !!!
Killer. One of my favorite shredding riffs of all time. So tight and musical and in sync. Gee.
Bruce = the most underrated guitar player of all time.
alright this is fucked up, bruce has 440 subs and I have almost 1600....god dammit youtube. people subscribe to the dude, he's a god damn guitar legend!
these guys are INCREDIBLE. DAMN!!!
That, was absolutely amazing. Wildest version of Scarified I've seen. Awesome. Thanks for sharing it ... 9 years ago - WOW!
That lead harmony at 2:42 is like Ultra Nightmare difficulty and they played it live so buttery smooth...why wasn't Bruce full time with them? :'(
He had developed carpal tunnel playing Racer X stuff all the time and he had to change some stuff just to be able to play this tour, so he would literally have killed his hands if he was still playing racer x 24/7
Ahh hell yeah! I love to see Paul & Bruce teamed up. Big fan of both of them. Killer live version of this tune
Of all the G3's that they decided not to make a live DVD of, why the FUCK did it have to be this one?!?
EXACTLY - its only HISTORY being made FFS!!!!
Legendary 😮

Killing musicians! We love you so much! :-) Thank you for the amazing music during the years! Be healthy, happy and blessed, everyone!
those harmonies are going to make my head explode
So awesome to hear two people who meld perfectly together. You can really see that Paul and Bruce practiced together for all that time.
Bruce setting shit on fire!!! Amazing!
wow when bruce are bending is like a god!!!! and his sick sweep licks!!!!
what a guitarplayer...he must had his own credit beyond the racer x stuff...he have his own guitar voice!!!!!
so unique!!!
Bruce , I'm just glad to see this and I thank you !
wow ! the dynamic duo!!!!!!!
Bruce is crazy....love u bro..
Best guitar duo of all time IMO
legendary amazing guitar duo

Aaaand, I just realized I'm posting this on Bruce's channel. Damn, Bruce...legend! Thank you for all you've done!
YES! love this song. saw G3 in Nashville, best $55 i ever spent. haha
one of most amazing guitar duos, I love it!!!
I love the guitar harmony in this song..
Yea no matter what, its incredible that he rose to become one of the most infuential musicians in modern rhythmic music!
What an awesome track. I remember my dad playing me this from his second heat LP years and years ago, and it still sounds amazing.

im fuckiing amazed bruce bouillet can keep up with the harmonies
props to bruce
Those harmonies are killer.
OMG!! I miss that guitar duel so much. Great harmony!!
I miss the good ole days of Racer X with Bruce.
Caught this show in PXH, it was amazing. Second best G3 tour behind Eric, Steve and Joe (though I would have loved to see Uli in Europe!).
BAD ASS to see you & Paul again.
I saw one concert or this tour. I saw a show in Japan. It was fantastic
This makes me so happy to see them playing together
I love how Bouillet shreds a Les Paul.
Mike LaTorre bruce could shred a Broom
that opening drum groove is just sooo funky man, i mean shit dude, it just rocks bro...fuck holmes, it's a smokin groove baby...
Not sure which one of my comments you're replying to, but I agree. The freedom of picking up a guitar can be one of the most beautiful experiences.
Paul's control over what he's playing makes him able to really feel every note he is playing
great drummer
is good to see bruce with racer x again
Nice to see Paul and Bruce playing together again. :D
2:20 Killer!! Amazing!!
paul and bruce gotta make a collaboration together. that'd be amazing. greatest guitar duo ever in my opinion.
Absolutely incredible
BRUCE BOUILLET es bueno!!! muy bueno!!!
Awesome video! Best G3 video I've seen so far of Scarified.
paul gilbert,, ur the best.. i want someday slash join the G3 jam,,hehe
As a Fan of the Guitar, Pick it apart, This video of shared G3 F&$#!'n Rocks! Yay!

totally f ing awesome!!!!!!

Outstanding !
Mike Szuter's a shredder in his own right! My favorite songwriter too!
The Les Paul Bruce is using also changes if you look closely.
But it's audio from one night, but clips from two different ones spliced together well.
Probably the best bits of both differant performances.
i hear it in my head all the time :]
I will never understand why there is not a DVD release of G307. It would sell warehouse loads.
I love scarified!
I...must have been asleep that year! I can't understand how I not only didn't know PG was on the G3 tour in 2007, but that you were part of the band! I feel like I've let myself down. 😩
Bruce on the loose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GOD DAMN! Paul and Bruce are still fucking sick to this day!
that tune always kicks fuckin ass
We need a full Racer X reunion ASAP!
feckin brilliant!
Im sure there's lots more music in this than simple pop songs or rap songs that all basically sound the same. and i find it to be very memorable.
Both ❤️
