I've always gravitated towards the earthy, woody, warm, spicy scents for the longest time and I recently found out in a color analysis session that I'm a dark autumn girlie... It all made so much sense! Intrigued by the scents you mentioned-now I'm gonna have to try them out

Fragrances for the Fall Mmmmmmmm 🤤 Some favorites: By the Fireplace, Casablanca (super affordable), Elizabeth & Janes Nirvana Bourbon & Nirvana Amethyst (Both affordable), Blue Madeleine, Nomade Naturelle, Gris Charnel, and Sugar Leather. I just bought Miller Harris Soufflot 🤞I hope I love it as much as I think I will 🤞
Since you asked about viewers' favourite fall fragrances, here are a couple of mine. Narghile (Perfume Mine Lab) smells of spicy berries and tobacco. It's supposed to smell like a hookah but it absolutely makes my mouth water and, boy, does it last! My other favourite is Vanilla Musk (Sand & Fog perfume oil). It's so much better than Nest's Madagascar Vanilla. It's also a great layering scent, which I often use with YSL's Libre EdP when I want to soften the lavender note. I bought Vanilla Musk at Winner's - scored a deal on a roller ball sample set. Then I found another larger set.
My dark vanessa!!!!! Oh my gosh I've been sitting on that book for the longest time and meaning to read it-- now that fall is upon us it sounds like the perfect time to finally crack it open!
Genuinely feel like Heal the Way was made for cold weather for me personally ❤ there’s something about this perfume that reminds me of sitting by a crackling fire with a blanket, eating a pistachio cookie with a warm cup of milk. This scent has really grown on me!
I have to say the prices of designer have gone up sooo much, that if you look for niche deals? You can find them! Not all brands of course but there’s some niche houses that are priced quite fairly! Except for…Fragrance Dubois lol Yes yes to Sézane ! 💕
No need to rush, we would’ve watched even if it was twice as long lol! My fave fall scent at the moment is Tom Ford “F*cking Fabulous”, I wore it all of last fall and have such positive associations with it this year. I too love a masculine scent this time of year!
Great list! I can't get enough of Fall videos, please do a part 2! 😁 Also, love the book recommendation, I've had that on my list for a while. Favourite fall fragrance has to be Bois Dore by Van Cleef and Arpels 😍
Also, my favvvvvv and recent discovery on accident is African Queen by Jousset. It's soooo good and so not talked about. I'm gonna share this with you now but in real life I'm gatekeeping this for ever. Its almond and lemon but in such a sweet syrupy way, its so good
I got a few decants I'm excited to get to know this fall: D&G the only one, Replica by the fireplace and Serge Lutens five o'clock au gingembre 😍 so far the last one is my favorite
Some of my favourite fall fragrances are: Rose Muscade by La Closerie des Parfums Kayali Oudgasm Rose Oud | 16 Rose Cafe by Tom Ford Armani “Si” Intense

@@erinpanco8108khamrah smells NOTHING like Angel’s Share don’t worry x I have no idea why people call it a dupe, it’s entirely a different thing. I hated Khamrah a lot (Idk why it’s so high on people’s lists) and Angel’s Share is a ride or die

i'm new to perfumes and haven't tried a lot but the one i've been wearing for a second autumn in a row is apple brandy by killian! the name describes it perfectly. killian kills it with sweet apple perfumes.
Kerosene Unknown Pleasures and Sweetly Known are wonderful fall choices. Tea for Two by L'Artisan Parfumeur. Gallagher Septamber is very fall also. Both of these are perhaps more winter, than fall but I'm still going to list them because they're wonderful. Miller Harris - Soufflot. Now hear me out of this one. This one smells like someone just brought Christmas tree from outdoors, the heating is on spreading the pine smell around, there's a simmer pot on the stove making everything smell warm citrusy and spiced and somewhere there's some vanilla cake in the oven. It's an experience. Narcotica - Dulce Diablo smells like apricot filled, dark chocolate covered lebkuchen. It's a very specific memory for me. Also, if you haven't, I beg smell through some J-Scent fragrance. Soft Skin specifically has a lovely milk note you might enjoy.
My favorites for fall are: clean reserve Sueded oud, Liis Bo, Après by Ellis Brooklyn, Commodity milk, and I have the oil perfumery version of eyes closed
i'm commenting this a few times cuz i want you to see it... do a candle review video!! especially fragrance brands that have released candles, or just ones with interesting, nuanced, complex scents etc, and at different, esp affordable price points! pleasee!
Hooray for fall fragrances! Have you ever reviewed any of the fragrances by Gallagher? I feel like a lot of their line is just so autumn/cold weather coded.
Before you went to perfumery school, did you like a lot of scents or do you think your sense of smell had developed over time to really liking and appreciating scent combinations that you might not have liked before? I’ve been a couple years down the rabbit hole of smelling perfumes specifically because there’s so much I don’t like and so much that makes me sick. I would love to take a perfumery class / go to school for it but I wonder if it wouldn’t be a good choice for me because of certain notes making me sick almost regardless of how they’re mixed (ie patchouli, Amber). What are your thoughts?
Wonderful videos! Thanks for sharing your knowledge about fragrances, the science, the notes, etc. Vanilla Musk by Nermat has an Eau De Parfum Travel Spray and it is on sale at Ulta. I got the travel spray yesterday. Thoughts on Jardin Exclusif and Palatine? So many reviews aren't that great for Palatine; so I want your thoughts first. I smelled it yesterday and was like 'meh.' Maybe Parfums de Marly will make a Palatine Exclusif - a deeper, richer perfume. My fall perfumes for fall are: Queening, Salam, Happy Dust, Peregrina, Sticky Dates, Let the Good Times Roll, Caramel Skin and Bake. Keep the videos coming!
I'm really enjoying your videos. If you haven't already done one, I'd love to see a video on your top recommendations for perfumes that are least likely to cause headaches in people prone to scent-related headaches and migraines. For myself, it seems that mens' colognes are less likely to cause a headache, whereas women's very floral fragrances are more likely to cause them. The only way I can explain it is if scents were music notes, women's perfumes are often too high-pitched.
Unfortunately I will not be able to make this video! Headaches are so personal and triggers really change from person to person. Sometimes the existence of scent as a whole is enough to cause headaches regardless of the ingredients. You can only really learn what works for you!
Okay, thank you for your quick reply. I'd ask for your recommendations on women's fragrances that have "lower notes' but I'm not even sure what quality of the scent that actually describes lol. Anyway, again, I really enjoy your videos, I find you can describe scents very well to a perfume novice like me. @perfumerism
I'm not sure if it's the base notes I'm trying to describe, but it's the quality of floral or other floral-like scents hitting the nose in a very sharp way. If the scent notes were beans of light, many of the men's colognes would be a softer light spread out over the entire room, whereas the florally women's perfumes would be more like an intense beam of light, like a laser beam. Sorry, I know I'm not explaining it well. What if I just ask for a video on your top recommendations for women's perfumes that do not have any floral qualities to them?
I love a good audio book and I like the idea of having a fall book. Also I’m a believer in Apple pie fragrances without an apple note. 😂 I get it in ELDO Noelle au balcon.

I read multiple reviews saying that Minuit et Demi is a 99% dupe of that one (it was released before Demi's). I own Changing Constance, and it is magical! It's also cheaper than the Fragrance du Bois alleged copy.
Angel Share is everything, in both smell and scent memory; the rest from Killian does not jive with me. I will be buying the Joe Malone Ginger Biscuit this year. I have FOMO.
