I think what’s going on here is these brands/houses are just trying so hard to keep up with ALL the new scents coming out that they’re just whipping up something simple and pumping it out. Instead of creating unique, must-have scents. They’re all starting to smell the same! Or at least nothing exciting and different. It’s so overwhelming as a consumer.

Yeah they are trying to churn out more perfumes and make them mass appealing esp to young ppl. Hence why we see so many high end brands making body sprays. They'll pick one trendy sounding note like strawberry or whipped cream, make it simple, and market hard.

This fr, I'm noticing more and more that, when it comes to main notes in mainstream/accessible perfume brands, x perfume doesn't really set itself apart from y and vice versa :/ I'm finding myself more invested in Marshall's finds than brand new, designer/luxury/celeb brands atm or just perfume oil dupes of things I could NEVER imagine myself splurging on 😭 plus I feel like the scents that made the first half of the year fun for me as a newer fragrance nerd are... not exactly innovative, but they didn't fully devolve into being easily comparable to something in the exact same price range or multiple other releases that have gotten attention. It's just crazy that it all fell flat so soon lmao

I think a cool video idea would be like blind smelling things or asking someone who doesn’t know anything about perfume what something smells like without telling them any notes or anything. It’s so funny how sometimes going into something with knowledge can influence how you perceive it to smell, like I once smelled something knowing what notes to look for and it smelled like almonds and cherries and sugar, then my bf walked in and said ‘why does it smell like paper in here’ lmao
The fragrance industry has been very candy/baked goods focused lately. Maybe because of the success with Baccarat Rouge? Idk. I'm ready for more musk, green, and woody scents to trend if they want please lol.

When I first tried Burberry Goddess Intense in the store I thought something is wrong with the bottle that store had. Because I was expecting deeper darker maybe sweeter vanilla but all I got was patchouli and lavender. So later I tried it in another store and unfortunately it turned out that is the actual perfume smell. Just like you noted it’s very aromatic, something I would much rather smell in sauna or spa, but not on myself as a perfume.
Goddess intense is a grower. I hated it when I first sprayed it, but I chanced it again at work and it dried down so smoky in the best way. It's meant to be more geared towards the 30-50 age range which I can definitely understand. It's that grown up kind of sensual which I think is because the intense leans a lot more masculine.
Can you make a hierarchy of rose perfumes please? I want to replace my diptyque eau rose with something else but am also yet to find a rose I like as much. I love Turkish rose perfume oil from nest but it lasts 0.5 seconds on my skin as all perfumes do. In fact, would love to hear about longest lasting perfumes. For me the only ones that really last on me are some of my cheaper ones - glossier you, Ariana grande cloud, and lush karma
Floral Street’s Arizona Bloom is one of the most beautiful fragrances I’ve ever smelled. And isn’t on Sephora or any other websites currently. The only place I could buy a backup was Mercari! I worry it’s been discontinued 😭
When I smelled BG intense I immediately got those cream soda dum dum lollipops, which smells a bit like root beer! No idea how those notes smell like THAT

3:00 wow I had no idea that these prices for the phlur fragrances increased that dramatically!! Over here in America (specifically NYC) the body mists for phlur are at a $24 price point. Same price as a mini SDJ body mist. The perfume tho are at $99 if I’m not mistaken.

Gorgeous Orchid reminds me so much of Mugler Angel Goddess and Jean Paul Gaultier Divine. The opening of Gorgeous Orchid is very sweet vanilla and I like it, but then it gets this almost marine-like freshness which reminds me a ton of Angel Goddess and Divine.

Heavy creamy smells exactly like an airy and creamy lotion !!! I couldn’t agree more, Idk if I like it. It seems synthetic because my mind/nose can’t conceptualize it lol !! Caramel skin is suuuper lactonic but it’s like that gold and white dress vs seeing the blue and black dress. It can super lactonic to me but I can also like switch my mind to it being less lactonic and more like an off putting syrup/synthetic caramel… I actually prefer the coconut skin I think to all 3! But even she is very redundant to my nose ! I got orchid and initially she was a little too floral in the opening, but as she sits you get that fluffy solar vanilla ! She’s really growing on me.
Yes creamy lotion is exactly true! I used to wear this "udder" cream that had a similar milky smell. I completely agree on Caramel Skin, so milky and caramel-y at the same time!
I prefer musky, clean, aromatic type perfumes and I'm not a gourmand type at all especially not the super edible ones however since getting kayali vanilla 28, I'm looking for a gourmand that would lean more clean, musky, airy for everyday but I'm not sure if that's a thing. Maybe I should look more into citrus leaning gourmands... who knows. I can only wear vanilla 28 for night time it still wears on the heavier, boozier side on me which is too much for everyday for me. Hopefully I can find my holy grail with all these new launches.

I sprayed the new Nest one on yesterday, my thoughts are: Matel Barbie circa 90's, specifically the Ken that you could "shave" he came with a mini razor with a foam blade and shaving cream, it is THAT cream that I smell from this perfume. I had high hopes and while the scent is not bad, I do not jive with the fake, brown sugar note as you said, It gets to my head after awhile. My husband likes the new Gucci. She is a pretty perfume. I own the original Burberry Goddess and also sprayed the new one on yesterday; for some reason Hugo Deep Red comes to my mind. I think it is in the base. To me it smells totally different than the original. I prefer the og. I am glad I did not blind buy either of them. Thanks for spendin those dollars for us, and doing a video lol I often go by certain creators reviews as I do not live in a city with a Sephora, just a limited Shoppers Drug Mart.

i initially liked gorgeous orchid on paper, a pretty floral vanilla, but once it dried down.. it smelled like lucky you by liz claiborne to me, which i have a very negative association with (and also don't enjoy the smell of in general). i sprayed it on my skin in case i was crazy, and it was immediately lucky you. nope, can't do it. i am not a fan of burberry goddess (as much as i'd like to be!), so i wasn't shocked that i didn't like intense, i just thought that maybe i would like it more if it were more vanillic. shame they went heavy with the lavender instead!
I just ordered Under the Stars and Afternoon Delight last week! I layered Under the Stars with Coffee Break, PDM Perseus, and a spray of Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade before work on Friday morning, and I loved the aroma all day, and no one at work complained. I LOVE Maison Margiela Replica fragrances!!! I hope they send Afternoon Delight soon, because I think it will layer amazingly with Under the Stars and Coffee Break. I'm also excited that they are sending me a free Replica cap. I guess it fits on the 30 ml and 100 ml Replica bottles! It looks like the cap on their untitled L'eau fragrance. I will definitely order more of those caps, if there's a way and that's what it is. That's how it looks in the picture. I just want to get Under the Lemon Trees, and my Replica collection will be complete, for now.

I blind bought heavy cream and caramel and ended up a little disappointed. I think vanilla skin has been a double edged sword for Phlur because nothing lives up to it!
the title is so real 😭 all of these brands delving into vanillas and milky scents are taking quite a boring approach atm, like i wish a lot of the recent, hyped drops added something more? haven't tried the kayali vacay launch or some of the others, but i was expecting more interesting concoctions like maui in a bottle or other fruity scents rather than just coconut/coconut water leading into summer and now vanilla/milk/caramel as the summer drags on and slowly dips into early fall
Caramel skin was the only of the Phlur that I picked up and it was sooo disappointing. It smells like condescended milk and it was not what wearable for me 😭 so sad. Also replica’s afternoon delight seems to be sooo polarizing. It was a return for me, I strongly disliked 😢
I dropped my favourite Sand & Fog Vanilla Musk perfume oil (travel sized bottle) on the floor and it broke. So I tried to find a replacement. I ended up buying Auric Blend Vanilla Rain perfume oil. $25 Cdn and it's pretty nice.

So funny I decided past few months I’m sticking with my signatures I won’t buy full bottles of gourmand as I’m happy with my collection so far! I hated Burberry Goddess at first too as it didn’t last but I let it macerate! Now I love it as well BUT honestly? It smells like vanilla fields!! A cheapie! But while watching you? I sprayed This is Her, on and it was vanilla it was creamy it was nutty! And I’m like this has it all in one!! So I’m not buying anything new! Yay me and I have Prada paradox and to me? It’s libre without lavender so may as well buy Libre the orange blossom is way strong 😅 I think it’s safe to say I’m happy with the vanillas I have! And pistachio yum for summer I’m ok!

There's an absence of individuality. Definitely strange considering how tiktok etc have made younger people conform and celebrities look the same. No subcultures. No inspiration. Honestly, consumers used to have the power over what they expected from companies and yet companies now tell the consumer what to think, who to vote for and what to smell like etc. If enough people stop buying due to brand loyalty, stop getting sucked in by the collabs etc and tell them what we want, and that doesn't mean $$$ crap. We want more imagination and how about asking the Public what they would enjoy

That Jasmine in the Nest Vanilla Bourbon just completely shifts the direction of that fragrance from what I expected. It's not deep at all. It's a slightly creamy Jasmine and that was disappointing. Not something the market needed at all. Meh.

Yes creamy lotion is exactly true! I used to wear this "udder" cream that had a similar milky smell. I completely agree on Caramel Skin, so milky and caramel-y at the same time!
I prefer musky, clean, aromatic type perfumes and I'm not a gourmand type at all especially not the super edible ones however since getting kayali vanilla 28, I'm looking for a gourmand that would lean more clean, musky, airy for everyday but I'm not sure if that's a thing. Maybe I should look more into citrus leaning gourmands... who knows.
I can only wear vanilla 28 for night time it still wears on the heavier, boozier side on me which is too much for everyday for me. Hopefully I can find my holy grail with all these new launches.

Hi guys. I sprayed the new Nest one on yesterday, my thoughts are: Matel Barbie circa 90's, specifically the Ken that you could "shave" he came with a mini razor with a foam blade and shaving cream, it is THAT cream that I smell from this perfume. I had high hopes and while the scent is not bad, I do not jive with the fake, brown sugar note as you said, It gets to my head after awhile. My husband likes the new Gucci. She is a pretty perfume. I own the original Burberry Goddess and also sprayed the new one on yesterday; for some reason Hugo Deep Red comes to my mind. I think it is in the base. To me it smells totally different than the original. I prefer the og. I am glad I did not blind buy either of them. Thanks for spendin those dollars for us, and doing a video lol I often go by certain creators reviews as I do not live in a city with a Sephora, just a limited Shoppers Drug Mart.

i initially liked gorgeous orchid on paper, a pretty floral vanilla, but once it dried down.. it smelled like lucky you by liz claiborne to me, which i have a very negative association with (and also don't enjoy the smell of in general). i sprayed it on my skin in case i was crazy, and it was immediately lucky you. nope, can't do it.
i am not a fan of burberry goddess (as much as i'd like to be!), so i wasn't shocked that i didn't like intense, i just thought that maybe i would like it more if it were more vanillic. shame they went heavy with the lavender instead!

I just ordered Under the Stars and Afternoon Delight last week! I layered Under the Stars with Coffee Break, PDM Perseus, and a spray of Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade before work on Friday morning, and I loved the aroma all day, and no one at work complained. I LOVE Maison Margiela Replica fragrances!!! I hope they send Afternoon Delight soon, because I think it will layer amazingly with Under the Stars and Coffee Break.
I'm also excited that they are sending me a free Replica cap. I guess it fits on the 30 ml and 100 ml Replica bottles! It looks like the cap on their untitled L'eau fragrance. I will definitely order more of those caps, if there's a way and that's what it is. That's how it looks in the picture. I just want to get Under the Lemon Trees, and my Replica collection will be complete, for now.

I blind bought heavy cream and caramel and ended up a little disappointed. I think vanilla skin has been a double edged sword for Phlur because nothing lives up to it!

the title is so real 😭 all of these brands delving into vanillas and milky scents are taking quite a boring approach atm, like i wish a lot of the recent, hyped drops added something more? haven't tried the kayali vacay launch or some of the others, but i was expecting more interesting concoctions like maui in a bottle or other fruity scents rather than just coconut/coconut water leading into summer and now vanilla/milk/caramel as the summer drags on and slowly dips into early fall
I think I'm the only one that doesn't think afternoon delight is strong but I still love it
Caramel skin was the only of the Phlur that I picked up and it was sooo disappointing. It smells like condescended milk and it was not what wearable for me 😭 so sad. Also replica’s afternoon delight seems to be sooo polarizing. It was a return for me, I strongly disliked 😢

It's interesting. It is similar to Burberry Her, but it has a powdery drydown and slightly earthy tones. It is strong and sweet!

I dropped my favourite Sand & Fog Vanilla Musk perfume oil (travel sized bottle) on the floor and it broke. So I tried to find a replacement. I ended up buying Auric Blend Vanilla Rain perfume oil. $25 Cdn and it's pretty nice.

Does Burberry Goddess Intense have a similar patchouli note as Rogue Smoking? Thats what I'm picturing with "root beer," is that patchouli that has virtually no dust.

But while watching you? I sprayed This is Her, on and it was vanilla it was creamy it was nutty! And I’m like this has it all in one!! So I’m not buying anything new! Yay me and I have Prada paradox and to me? It’s libre without lavender so may as well buy Libre the orange blossom is way strong 😅 I think it’s safe to say I’m happy with the vanillas I have! And pistachio yum for summer I’m ok!

There's an absence of individuality. Definitely strange considering how tiktok etc have made younger people conform and celebrities look the same. No subcultures. No inspiration. Honestly, consumers used to have the power over what they expected from companies and yet companies now tell the consumer what to think, who to vote for and what to smell like etc. If enough people stop buying due to brand loyalty, stop getting sucked in by the collabs etc and tell them what we want, and that doesn't mean $$$ crap. We want more imagination and how about asking the Public what they would enjoy

That Jasmine in the Nest Vanilla Bourbon just completely shifts the direction of that fragrance from what I expected. It's not deep at all. It's a slightly creamy Jasmine and that was disappointing. Not something the market needed at all. Meh.
