I lived in Maine for 26 years and three of my five kids were born and raised there! I love it, but I don't like the winters anymore. I haven't lived there for a number of years now, but it has always held the biggest place in my heart for so many reasons, not the least of which is the incredible scenic beauty of the entire state! You were in Rockland, and that is one of the towns I used to live in. It's a wonderful little town that held a large Blues Festival. My dear friend and I worked at that festival and personally knew the coordinators of the entire event. Great times!! The ride south from Maine is stunning along Rt. 1, and the coast of Maine boasts literally thousands of miles of riding before you even leave the state. I'm glad you enjoyed your time there! I live in Tennessee now, but I would like to take a ride back up there along the coast to enjoy the scenery once again! I just found your channel this morning while having coffee and I'm excited to watch some of your other travels as well. I did watch the Back of the Dragon episode since that is very close to me, as is the Tail of the Dragon, but there are so many other rides that are so much better than the Tail of the Dragon right outside my doors. Thank you for sharing your adventures!! It looks like a fantastic time! Safe travels to you!!
Beautiful wee towns, and great to see blue skies again THE tip for everyone.. just smile at toll booth lady and tell her you only have a few dollars cash....and instantly receive a discount..😁😁👍👍
Lea Another wonderful video Lady! The coastal areas here in New England are fabulous in the summer, especially for Lobster Rolls, sea food and Ice Cream. Many more Roses at your feet Lady! Vases too to keep them fresh until the next video. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🏆🏆 Ride SAFE and BE safe Lea! Peace
Boston is a great city.... I lived near there for some years; had my first real seafood there. (in Texas, Surf and Turf was often a hamburger and fish sticks!) The clam chowdah' and lobster was to die for. At the time in the 80's the popular local expressions were, "wicked good" and "all set".... (Are you all set? I'm all set. We're all set.) Anyway, this video was wicked good and I'm all set. Happy Trails!
Thank you very much for the video, it's a beautiful area 👀🌟 great weather great area just fantastic 🙏👍 many greetings and have fun and I wish you a great season 2023 🙏🍀🏍. Greetings Ljubo
Boston is truly a great place to visit, it always feels more like a large town than a city and is easily walkable. One of my daughters went to college there and has made it home ever since, not far from where you stayed with friends in Somerville. I'm sure you are aware but the North End has some of the best Italian restaurants on the east coast and there are so many small breweries in the greater Boston area that it reminds me of my travels to Belgium and Germany years ago, where good breweries were plentiful. I have been enjoying your videos and love how accurate your descriptions are of places I know, which of course makes your comments of places I have yet to go more credible.
Thank you Lea for another beautiful journey. I fell in love with boston from the first time I visited it, because it reminded me more of a European city. Looking forward to your next episode.
@@Got2Go Especially Newbery street. I used to go to Boston annually, until 2 years after they opened Fanuel Hall, and built up the financial business area..was not the same anymore.
Once again, the beautiful filming was out of this world.. definitely a place I would like to ride my bike.. thanks again, looking forward to your next adventure . Best wishes for 2023.. go well💕
Oh Leah I don’t want to sound unappreciative but that was a short one 😢. All I hope is that you were able to ride alongside the sea on some of the peninsulas between Rockland and Portland because you will have missed some of the most stunning coastal views on the east coast! I a a Brit and I have driven the route many times. Otherwise thanks for your generosity in sharing with us 🤗
I hope to visit the region one day, closest I've been to is Connecticut, but travel to the US and Europe is so expensive from my remote region. Thank you for showing us it.
Beautiful episode. However,,,, you did not give much time to your visit to Rockport. This is a very scenic town. It appears I can not add a photo in the comments section. I have some many photos of that area and was going to post one. My mother-in-law was a artist and did lots of work in Maine and near Rockport. My wife grew up in one of the Boston suburbs. And, we live there for a couple of years. Just a wonderful place.
To find jewels on UA-cam is easy: watching your videos brings a lot of those kind of gemstones 💎to us - it is honestly ment, nothing else 😁. Did you ever had a ride, tour with nearly all the time having roads going straight ahead? What does it to you, someone who likes curves, gravel roads and mountains 🥱 😊? By the way, the surrounding countryside is very beautiful, including all the places and towns you ran into.
the important thing is to keep up the enthusiasm, I always pray that I will be healthy, always happy, stay focused with positive thinking that is done every day, is running now
Are you from Holland? I was born in Holland, grew up in Maine, and lived in Boston for 12 years. Loved this video. I have also been a motorcyclist for over 50 years. 😎
Lea watched your maine to boston video nice area, if you stayed on Rt 1 you could have made a quick stop in Salem where all the witched were executed. hots to see there with a lot of history.
Rockland doesn’t look too bad. Red’s eat looks a lot better. I grew up in a village but I live in a city now. Luckily my city still feels a bit like a village and has lots of parks and green. Everything is on a human scale. Boston looks great for a city.
It's been a while since a high speed train proposal has come up between Montreal and Boston. The latest proposal is an overnight (14 hrs) train taking in scenic Quebec and New England towns including a couple of popular places for Canadian tourists.
@@Got2Go Thank you for sharing it. Love all you travel video and you discovered so many hoiden gem more than anybody. One day I will try to plan a trip of your track. Many thanks for sharing your journey.

I actually don’t mind that at all, I as well find the long straight roads very meditative!

Hi I love the introduction music, would you share the name and the artist.
Love every film and wish I could have the time to do it.
It’s all music from epidemic sound - to be honest I don’t know the interprets because I use so many titles per episode, but most you can Shazam!
