  • How do you navigate through the times of your life when it seems the absolute "worst" has happened? In this video I reflect on a quote by Job that was made after his life drastically fell apart. Job was considered a "holy and righteous" man back in the Old Testament times. He had a reputation for being a faithful servant of God. He was wealthy and prosperous and respected in his community.
It is easy to trust God when life is going the way we want it to, and everything seems to be falling into place. But we all know, life can change in a minute and all we thought we were so secure in is stripped away from us. Whether it is our health or that of a loved one; or the sudden death a family member or friend, or a major financial loss, or a broken relationship, or unforeseen circumstance that drastically changes life as we knew it.
There is one phrase in the story of Job that continues to speak volumes to my heart even years after I first read it. Job's liberation came when he finally let go of what he had "heard" about God and and instead opened the eyes of his heart to “see" God like never before. He realized in that moment that everything he had heard about God was like a rumor....it consisted of bits and pieces of other peoples thoughts, ideas and messages about God.
I hope you find this message inspiring for your soul. Whatever you may be experiencing today, may you "see" anew the wonders of God. The wonders that bring you to a point of awe and help you see God, yourself and all of life in a new light. I have found that when I open to the awe and wonder of God....my mind is transformed, new doors in my heart open, new healing comes, and most of all new Love floods my soul and it is miraculous!
"My ears had heard of You, Oh God, but now my eyes have seen You....". - Job 42:5-6
