Can You Drink the Cup?

Hi friends! In this video, I share some reflections from a spiritual retreat I recently participated in. I share a quote by Henri Nouwen, that made its way to my memory from years gone by following a “Releasing Ceremony” we did on our last day of the retreat.
The “cup” that I mention in this video represents our life…all that it contains. How do we hold this cup, lift this cup and drink all that this cup of life contains to the very bottom? Do we even dare to do so?
There are some beautiful metaphors here that I hope will inspire your soul and help you see the beauty and sacredness of this “cup” of life we have been given to drink in communion with the Giver of Life, and with one another.
Jesus said to his disciples at one point, “Can you drink the cup that I am going to drink.?” I have been sitting with that question and perhaps wrestling with what it is causing to surface from the depths of my own soul.
