Eyes of My Heart with Vicki Jean, is a place for all who want to go deeper in their spiritual experience with Divine Love. I grew up as a preacher’s kid in an evangelical denomination and while I am thankful for Christian roots, I must say, there has been a renovation of my faith over the years, and that renovation is ongoing. If I had to describe myself, I would simply say I am a lover of Jesus Christ extraordinaire! and a Christian mystic at heart because that is how I see, know and experience the depths of this Divine Love that is God. I believe God's Spirit dwells within every human being and can be known in a way that is beyond intellectual understanding. This "knowing" is intimate, transformative, and drenched in life-giving love!
Let's fan into flame that spark of God's love in one another as we learn to see with "heart-eyes" and step into the freedom for which Christ has set us free! Please join me on this pilgrimage of transformation!

“Swallowing Up Time With Eternity”
Jesus said: It is the Spirit that quickens; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you - they are full of the Spirit and life."
This video was sparked by a writing from the soul of Bob Holmes.
I am learning more as I get older about how to not just gain spiritual knowledge intellectual on an intellectual level, but what it means to "be quickened" by the knowledge IN my spirit. And I am seeing that there is a huge difference.
So in this video I share a short reading from Bob Holmes; as well as talk a little bit about how I am starting to recognize the quickening and the embodiment of these inspiring truths of God. It feels like being "broken open" at deeper and deeper levels...until who I "thought" I was disappears. It is like the "old me" that was filled with such limited knowledge and understanding, is swallowed up in eternity -- swallowed up in a victory that I didn't even have to fight to achieve.
It is hard to articulate, but what I find happening as I surrender to this Love of God is that it is easier to see Christ dwelling in others, easier to be moved with compassion rather than judgement, easier to keep my opinions to myself and listen to the thoughts and stories of others (including those who are very different than me).
My mind and body are far less triggered by the external things that once caused me to ruminate, fret and worry either about myself, my loved ones, the state of our country, the state of our world, etc. It is Love that covers ALL, and resting in this Love that keeps me centered in a place of peace; in a place of what I call "contemplative action". Actions that lead to peace, to mercy, to forgiveness, to truth and justice, and to walking humbly with my God and others.
May we each live "full of the Spirit and life." - Amen
