- Today I bring you a full guide to install RC Drift Stealth Mounts and Magnets! Its a long video but should explain and give you all the necessary information needed to have a flawless install. I used a set of Scale Reflex Gorilla mounts, and an extra set of magnets to insure a clean install. Youll also need some 3M Extreme mounting tape, duck or gaff tape, as well as a pen to mark the body.

Thanks for your help! Luckily I had the spacers I needed for the rear. I had to use shoe glue instead of tape.

informative video - thank you. Can these magnets hold for on-road racing?
The body would likely get pulled off for onroad racing. Velcro would be my personal choice for racing. With the magnet it is pretty common to bump a wall and have your body dragging half way behind you lol

Hey. Can i use little power when i gonna lose my esc on my mst rmx 2.0? Its sit so fast. But i need to move the esc 2mm to the side to use short battery:). Nice video.

Do the 3m tape last? Im always skeptic of the double sided tape power.

So for the rear you have to use spacers and longer screws to raise basically?
@@TEExCASH yes that’s the best way to dial in the height. You can use all sorts of size washers to make it fit your needs.

Anyone run into an issue where the bullet magnets for the front won’t go onto the post? Or dotes anyone know what posts they will fit over?
The magnets may be different polarity and could be throwing it off. As long as they are lined up correctly they should work, but the magnets being backwards could be a problem.
It’s the bullet magnets that go over the front body mount posts it seems as if my body posts are wider then then bottom of the magnets and won’t fit into the magnets
@@jayvenwoodward4491 Ok i totally understand what your saying. Are you running an MST, if so the body post are likely to big like you said. You may need to order and use yokomo ones, or shave the ones you have down so they work for you.

2:50 the metal caps with the set screws aren’t even close to fitting on the front posts of my MST2.5, the posts are way too thick to go in. Do I need a different diameter of front posts? Brand new to rc 😂
So the mst post are too big, I think you need to use yokomo post. I got lucky I started with yokomo but I forgot that my friend had the same issue. Dont worry its all a mystery when your starting! It will make sense more and more. There will always be mystery curve balls though🤣

Yes forsure! Just do a small amount at a time to be safe.

how can I do it without extra set of magnets?
It’s a little bit harder but you can still use some masking tape on top. Put a big piece around the area, set it on the body and get it lined up, use a light to shine underneath and then draw the circle on the masking tape you put on the outside. The flashlight or phone light will shine through the paint and you’ll be able to see where the shadow is from the post.
When you want to stick the magnets just flip the body and shine the light through from the outside so you should be able to see the lines from the tape. That works for lighter color paint.
You could also just preset all the magnets on the chassis with the 3m double sided tape then set it down slowly where it all lines up.

Sick. I thought it was a pre painted body because of the white. It's like the RTR body's from yokomo. What paint did you spray that white with? @@SeanLewisMedia

No the purple one is the link i sent you, and that was a custom purple I mixed for my airbrush and then I backed it in white. im sorry I was confused, thats my bad. I backed it in white to make the purple pop more.@@mattparker510
Things are way too pricey for what they are tbh
They are pricey but they have been the only brand that holds up over time. Mine have been going strong for 6 months so its been worth the money so far. Its also one of the best solutions for the scale look of not having body post. If you know of any more budget friendly version I could for sure check them out👍🏻
