    Welcome to my a fun little favourites video! I don't do monthly favourites because I so rarely change what I own while I travel full time - but I thought a nomad favourites update would be fun! These are all things that I couldn't live without as a nomad - and I tried to include a mixture of beauty, tech, and random! Thank you so much for watching, and of course don't forget to subscribe!

    ❤ FAQs:
    ↣ Can I support you?
    Of course! Subscribing shows me you like what I'm doing and always makes my day.
    ↣ Are you a full time UA-camr?
    I work full time online as a 'Digital Nomad' which means I get to travel the world with my fiance (Ed) and not be tied to living in any specific country. I do Freelance PR, teach courses on Udemy (check out my profile here - www.udemy.com/u/louisecroft/) and of course blogging and UA-cam.
    ↣ When did you start blogging?
    I created my blog in 2012 when I was living in America. I was thrifting so much that I wanted to start sharing my outfits online and inspiring other people to look in charity shops. Now it's become all about my Digital Nomad journey and what it's like to be a female nomad.
    ↣ Where's your accent from?
    I'm from the South of England but I currently live out of a suitcase travelling all over the world.
    ↣ Where is your favourite place in the world?
    I fell deeply in love with Gili Air when we visited as a paradise getaway, but Chiang Mai is my favourite place to live. Plus of course, there's no place like home (Dorset in England).

    That Cocoon Grid-It is genius! I'm totally buying one for myself and my S/O. This is a great list of products. Love your tips!

    I LOVE Lush shampoo bars- you're right they take a little while to get used to but they are so convenient to use. And that deodrant stick is fab- like you I feel it's going to outlive me haha xoxo

      Yes the shampoo bars are a total game changer for me - they last sooooo long! Have you got a lush deodorant bar? That could be a dream combo for me!

    I like that cocoon grid-it. The deodorant is a salt called alum. It can also be used on shaving cuts. It kinda sorta contains aluminium, but in the form of alum it is part of a harmless compound. Same as sea salt, that compound contains chloride but it's harmless.

    Love it! Will be taking on board the toiletries entries for sure they all sound intriguing & v useful!
    Loved the story of joining in on the Christmas tree decorating party! Do you think Airbnb is a good idea for Thailand trips? So far I’m staying in some fancy hotels

      Oooh and do you brush out that dry hair powder?

    • @digitalnomadgirl
      @digitalnomadgirl  5 років тому

      Yes I think it would be good for Thailand! Although it's so cheap already that you might already have great places that you like :) We use it literally everywhere!

      I ruffle it all in so it kind of blends and absorbs. Then I do normally brush my hair after but only because of all the vigorous ruffling! Haha

    hmmm, slight correction regarding aerosols and being bad for the environment, maybe about 20 years ago. (CFCs were banned in the UK back in 1996), otherwise, lots of great tips and useful information, but nothing wrong with pressurised cans of deodorant etc, which for a loooong time have used different propellants.

      That's great news! I'm really glad to hear it :) I still often find that they break on planes, and they don't last as long as the powder - but great to know the CFC factor isn't relevant anymore :D

      and I guess you can take a bar of soap on a plane but not a liquid deodorant

    They have the Mini crystal deodorants - yes, that's better and lighter.

      Ooo sounds good! I'm gonna get one of the Lush solid deodorants next time I'm in the UK :)

    I am also thinking about switching to soap products without all these chemicals. But your sunscreen contains Octocrylene which is also controversial.

    • @digitalnomadgirl
      @digitalnomadgirl  5 років тому

      Yeah sunscreen is VERY hard to find as non chemical. I figure I can't swap everything but I swap what I can :) Lush is great for non chemical products :) I am also switching to cruelty free and I'm prioritising that over fazing out chemicals.
