I work full time online as a 'Digital Nomad' which means I get to travel the world with my fiance (Ed) and not be tied to living in any specific country. I fell deeply in love with Gili Air when we visited as a paradise getaway, but Chiang Mai is my favourite place to live. Plus of course, there's no place like home (Dorset in England).

One of my first businesses was dropshipping back in the 80's, when I was in my pre-teens, lol. Things were a lot different back then. No internet for the masses, although I was online already. The good dropshippers provided glossy printed catalogs of products and they would imprint them with my company information, logo, address, etc. Then I would either buy or build my own mailing lists and mail out the catalogs. Orders came in to me and I forwarded them to the dropshipper with a paper check a couple times per week. If I remember correctly, I was making about 30% of the listed catalog prices on products. It worked out really well. Now when I hear dropshipping I laugh, because so many people think it's like some new concept. Today of course, you can automate everything and hardly touch it again. But the competition has probably increased by at least 10,000% since the olden days. Cheers!

I didn't know you could send product direct from China to Amazon. I thought the products need to be prepped either by you or a prep center.
Yeah it's pretty cool! We do have an agent in China who checks the products for us, but that's not essential. Depends on your supplier.
