If it does not have a shunt is it just guessing capacity based on voltage reading?

I'm not sure about the inner electronics; my understanding it is built specifically for a 12V 100AH LiFePO4 battery and not a wide range of batteries.

This is just a voltage meter, a shunt is huge

Does it also have the less than 20% alarm like the renogy programmable module?

No, this is definitely a budget meter. That is why it is so small.

MY METER IS INSTALLED ON TOP OF THE BATTERY AND NOW IT WONT SHUT OFF. DO I JUST NEED TO PUT IT OUT OF THE BATTERY AND REPLACE ?
