Fantastic video and great timing as I began the process of desensitising my tiel to his new carrier this morning! A really important thing to teach that we often overlook I think - thanks for the informative breakdown of it :)
I’m glad you enjoyed the video! Good luck on your travel carrier training 😊
Great video and important topic!❤🎉
Thank you bestie! 🥰💙
Hello Ms. Sopie
I'm a 15year old student from South Korea
I'm a big fan of you and I started to think of having a conure by your video
I have some worries though, I would be so greatful if you can answer them
Q: I have to leave my house for 12hours everyday(school) but I can take them out of their cage and play with them for 4hours is it ok to have only one conure?
Q: how big should the cage be for 1 conure? (There is too much different sayings and I want to hear about yours)
Thank you so much for watching 🥰
In my honest opinion, I think it may be better to wait until you’ve finished school to get a bird - they need to sleep for 12 hours and be awake for 12 hours - if you are out of the house for 12 hours then they might not get the right sleep/wake cycle!
Thank you so much for your opinion :)
Hi Sophie 😊 I'm just trying to decide which travel carrier to get. Yaheetech cage looks similar to your cage and weighs approx 7.5kg. I've seen similar cages up to 10kg! The only lighter alternatives I came across are foldable cages, but they don't look as secure. What weight is your cage please? I couldn't see a weight on the Northern Parrots website. It would be great to see you actually carrying the birds in it to make the presentation complete 😁❤
This one is quite heavy too, I think just shy of 10kg which is why I mentioned it’s more of one I’d use on a long journey than for a walk!
We have the fabric backpack from Northern Parrots which I take the birds out for walks in! There’s the risk of chewing but like with anything, they’d need to be supervised in there 😊
A very helpful video with great advice. Charlie was a super star ⭐️ 😊 you can definitely see that the training works. Charlie looks extremely comfortable and happy to be inside the travel cage 👍🏻😃
He is a real pro at going in the carrier 🥰 so smart!
You are so delightful to listen to thank you so much , as I inherited A Senegal. And don’t have a clue. 💕
Thank you for your kind words 🥰
Charlie was doing it no problem! Really helpful vlog, I did not expect a vlog today as your going live tomorrow! x
He’s a training superstar! And ye a bonus video haha 😊
Love your duck sweater ❤
Thank you 🦆
Charlie is so cute!! I love his colours
He says thank you 🥰
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it 🥰
charlie was owning that training. He was so cool with it
He was an absolute superstar and I appreciate not all birds will be that chill, but he’s a great student for training haha 😊
@@BirdNerdSophie absolutely.with my birds it is a bit of hit and miss. Most of the time they are fine with the carrier. Then out of no where they decide that today is not such a day. xD I am training it more regulary recently to just get the consistency I want with it
