I just can’t believe people say punk rock is dead while these guys smash it in real time. They should be way bigger. I love this band. Just crazy to know about them and hear people talk about no good rock music being out there.
I love them so much. I saw them 3 times and hopefully will see them again soon. They always put on an awesome show. I'm so glad that I discovered them!!!!
I'm from Pittsburgh originally so hating on Philly comes naturally. 🤣 Between the Menzingers and Dave Hause, another one of the greatest songwriters to come out of nowhere this past decade or so, I may have to reconsider my stance. 😂
As someone who feels like no one will ever love them I thank you for your music. It gives me a little bit of something like comfort to hold on to before attempting to take myself out of this world….
One of my best friends showed me this band about 5 years ago and last year he killed himself using fentanyl. I'm 24 and known the guy since I was 6. He was a punker and taught me how to play guitar when I was learning. First bro I smoked weed with I skated with every day etc. He always had a hard time with life since we were young and was quite the alcoholic I probably drink just as much now. I'm grateful for it all and him showing me this band and so many other punk bands. RIP Alex
Being able to channel an emotion through your voice, in lieu of just relying on the words themselves, is something to behold. You can tell that he was tapping into some pretty shitty memories.
there is an episode of star trek the next generation where data is listening to (I think) 14 different songs all at the same time, and no one understands how he can do it... that's how I am emotionally with nearly every menzingers song.
One of the few bands similar to brand new where every album is different and constantly good. I personally prefer the old punky jams but the new stuff still hits just as good. Great fucking band
This album fucking slaps so hard. The more I listen, the harder I fall in love. My dad would have loved The Menzingers, and the hope they represent that rock and roll isn’t fucking dead.
Of the songs you released you already released for this album "There's no place in this world for me" is probably my favorite. Maybe biased since I already heard it live. This one is good but I feel like you moved a bit a bit too much from "Chamberlain waltz" with a slower pace in the three songs we heard so far. I own all Menzinger records and you guys are such an inspiration! Already pre-ordered "Some of it was true" along with a T-shirt. Rented World and Captain we;re sinking's the Future is cancelled are amongst my top 5 albums of all time. Keep up the good work!!
Completely agree. I mean this isn’t bad by any means but it’s kinda mid.. like mehhh. Wouldn’t look twice at it if it were a person. If that makes sense
I can’t stand this entire record, it’s so slow and boring and whiny. Coming from someone who’s been to every single one of their Denver shows for the last 12 years.
This band is the soundtrack of my late 20s and my 30s. Perfect in every way.
My late 30s going into 40 I feel the same, ever since I saw them live I have loved them on some serious nerd level
The Menzingers write the best songs. This new record will be one of their best!
They've quite literally never disappointed. Definitely looking forward to this as well.
This sounds like a classic...
@@prhmusicliterally lol. they ripped it off
nothing is original, its all something we've seen or heard before, just another version of it. doesn't mean you cant enjoy it. @@jibran4691
@@jibran4691Cite what you think they ripped it off from so we can all compare, contrast and tell you why you're wrong.
Greg pouring his heart out while Tom has a little grin and a jig in the background. You love to see it.
IKR Tom is loving it, and killing it. Love his guitar playing...and them white pants lol
Non-stop repeat. Beautiful track. Can't wait to see this live in February. Got a feeling this album may be an all-timer
I just saw it this morning and I've played it a dozen times already haha.
@@Blimkat Why so few? 🤣 I'm sure you'll spin it plenty more.
oh yea you were right I think im in the century club now. again you will probably tell me "rookie numbers" haha
@@Alex-mu1rf
What a track. This is my favourite of the new batch of singles yet.
Arguably the most timeless track you've ever made, guys
Can't wait to go down to the local watering hole and reminisce while this plays on the jukebox 🖤
This song was so good live!!! Wonderful album! Please come back to Dallas! Always a good show from these guys ❤️❤️❤️🎶
Future classic... these guys are just incapable of writing bad music. Bravo!!
This reminds me a bit of Springsteen tunnel of love era for whatever reason …
I like this comparison. Didn’t expect to see this in the comment section
Tom Petty vibes. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
I had the exact same thought and I LOVE it. This is actually what I thought the final form of the menzingers would look like and I’m glad to see it.
Nope

This 👆 this could a been on Full Moon Fever for sure
Menzingers vibes

Got to see them 3 times in 2023 and what a great show every single time!
That’s some of the that 90s south street punk rock right there.
Sounds like a cut from Greg's solo record, which was equally amazing. This is probably the best single I've heard from the new album yet. 🤘🏻
I love it. It’ll be on repeat all day.
Tom looks wild with that hair. Looks like he partied too hard the night before 😂
No I think he is just trying to let his hair grow back. It always looks a bit wild at first.
It's Paul Giamatti on a guitar baby 🤘
The growth in style and delivery of the subject matter is really impressive.
I love them so much. I saw them 3 times and hopefully will see them again soon. They always put on an awesome show. I'm so glad that I discovered them!!!!
I love this band, been a fan for over a decade. This new album had to grow on me some but its really solid.
These guys are the best thing to come outta philly since cheesesteaks!

I always wondered why I loved the Menzingers so much and after I read a review comparing their writing to Bruce Springsteen it finally hit me.
Seen Menzies 3x and can’t wait for another gig in February in London 🧡 love the new music so far.
Well, I guess they can nail a midtempo groove too.
Great singing voice, great song
As someone who feels like no one will ever love them I thank you for your music. It gives me a little bit of something like comfort to hold on to before attempting to take myself out of this world….
Whoa bro, I’ll be your friend! Don’t do it!
Just the best band out there. Love these guys.

Tickets to see them live in December. Can’t wait
I love u guys with all my heart!
There’s genius in how the “avalanche” imagery is reinforced by singing a falling harmony in a drop-down register.
You guys never made a bad song. Another perfect one to your list.
J'adore !!!
Best song of 2023

The little riff reminds me of Teenage Dirtbag. Love it.
All three are great but this one is my favorite so far.
Fuuuuuuccckkkk!!!! This is so good
One of the few bands similar to brand new where every album is different and constantly good. I personally prefer the old punky jams but the new stuff still hits just as good. Great fucking band
this is just so comforting and soothing. like taking a first bite of a favourite sandwich.
This album fucking slaps so hard. The more I listen, the harder I fall in love. My dad would have loved The Menzingers, and the hope they represent that rock and roll isn’t fucking dead.
Every time I hear the album, the better and better it gets
Very good! Looks like I have a new band to collect!

This generation's Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. So good!
I love the semi bald guy... I know he loves his job!

Me too. "Hello Exile" was fucking incredible as well. I just hope that it wasn't their last good one. We'll see come 13 October. 🤷🏼♂️
