    I’ll be honest for those who want to buy these. The plastic feels too light and flimsy. No problem since these are meant to be displayed. The heads, based on the sculpt and paint, look more like 50’s MEGO, Action Man or GI Joe from that era. Not a problem since they are going to be displayed with their helmets. My Air Commander figure came with a loose leg and can’t stand up, Ramen never got back to me with that one even though they answered all my emails in the past and that means their customer service after sale could be a problem. Do I regret buying them? No, they work nice in my collection. Will I buy their Silver Hawks? No, the plastic they use leaves a lot to be desired. They clearly have problems nailing the headsculpt at this stage of the game and I feel the design of the Silver requires a very strong head game to capture the likeness of the characters and the simplistic design of the bodies leaves no space for errors. The Commanders have all these accesories, dry brush and detail on the armor, the Silverhawks are on the other end of the spectrum with a sleek monotone color. I feel Super 7 is going to nail them better so I am skipping those. Would I buy again from Ramen Toys in the future? Certain licenses… yes!

      @@Mugenstylo the QuickSillver head looks incredible. The bodies on the other hand look terrible but that’s just my opinion. Hiding joints is not easy for those figures because their cartoon design is almost seamless. I think Super 7 will beat them in that department overall. The deciding factor here will be articulation level. Fans of articulation will go with Ramen, those who prefer screen accuracy will go with super 7

    Don't kill me or anything... I love everything they make, but.. I'm sure Ramen Toys is going to get sued into oblivion eventually. There is no way they can continually get away with infringements like this. Even changing the names and packaging will not change anything from a legal standpoint. They still LOOK like them.

    WOW, those are some expensive figures. I'm sorry those do not look like they are worth $90.00. IMO they have a soft sculpt and limited paint applications. We live in a world where you can purchase a good collectable action figure at retail for $20 to $30 dollars. If your willing to preorder you can buy a 6 inch Mythic Legions action figure from the Four Horsemen for $37.

    I'm sorry to say this Tydirium because I know you were all out regarding this line but these don't seem to be worth a McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse price point, they aren't worth more then 20USD. Even at 20USD, as an international buyer, I would never buy them because I would have to pay shipping and import taxes. I would buy them for 20USD each if I could buy them nationally in a physical store without paying shipping.
    The vintage Centurions don't look that bad when standing next to the Ramen Toy ones and the vintage can stand perfectly!!!
    I hope Ramen Toys learned a lot with this release, they demanded a lot of blind trust from the buyers and the end result doesn't seem to reward that trust.
    Thanks for the review though Tydirium.

    • @tydiriumhanger1320
      @tydiriumhanger1320  2 роки тому

      Well the value is in the obscure nature of the line. We may never see another company tackle these figures or it may be a decade from now. These are not really for casual collectors more for the Centurions collectors that are itching for more.

      @@tydiriumhanger1320 Obscure?!!! Every action figure collector that was born in the 70's knows the Centurions, I'm not a casual collector and I want some new Centurions but I still think these are way to expensive. Maybe I shouldn't be commenting about the quality without having them in hand but with my 35 years collecting action figures experience, what I've seen in your review and what I read in some comments I dare speculate these aren't worth what Ramen Toys charged for them. If you like these figures and you're perfectly fine with what you paid for them I'm happy for you but as a reviewer you should try to be as objective as possible. Please don't forget I'm subscribed to your channel and I always watch your reviews so I clearly take your personal opinion into consideration, this was just some positive criticism.

      Breno, if the production quantity of these is the same as McFarlane, they can be around 30-35 USD.
      If a McFarlane is just 1000 units, I doubt a McFarlane is 20 USD.
      Also, unless I am mistaken, the McFarlane Toys DC multiverse figures,
      I have the BTAS one,
      does not have any accessories plus they do not have the points of articulation as these figures.
      With these considerations, perhaps you can better appreciate the price point.
      But at the same time I can appreciate if they are priced too high for most who do not understand the financial nature of the project.
      If these were priced at 20 USD, that means for the 1000 set run,
      I.e 3000 figures
      The total sale is 20 USD x 3000 = 60k USD.
      Assuming Ramen Toy makes 10 dollars on each figure , they would have made a cool 30k USD on the project if they sold all 1000 sets directly to customers.
      30k USD is not even enough to prototype and tool these figures.
      And even if it was enough, that means they broke even with this.
      But how can they sell it for 20 USD and make 10 USD on each figure unless the production cost with all things added in, is just 10 USD a figure ?

      @brenoferreiraferreira4409 2 роки тому +1

      @@NoelLee89 The quality of an item, it’s price and the fact that I like it are the only considerations I need to have when buying action figures, I don’t need to know what is the family tree of the man running the action figure company. The financial nature of this project is the same as any other similar project, it’s a company trying to promote themselves and make a profit.
      If we were talking about someone who was going to produce 1000 action figures and sell them at production cost to his friends I would understand them being expensive and not having the quality they should for the price price being charged but this was a company trying to make a profit and build a name for themselves.
      When you’re making a name for yourself as a new company you have to understand the profit margins are going to be very small, in fact they may be very close to zero, after you have a big enough fan base because you’re charging a fair price for an excellent figure (a fair price is calculated by what the other existing companies on the same market are charging) you can start to make some money, not before. Why should the costumers be the ones being sacrificed, if it was easy and highly profitable from the beginning every collector would have a company!!!
      On top of it all Ramen Toys wanted to start a company demanding the money for what they were producing up front, maybe if they had chosen a different business plan were the costumers only had to pay for their figures when they were ready to ship they would’ve been able to produce a bit more and reduce the cost. When you’re starting a company you have to invest money and risk losing it, if you don’t trust your product and you’re not whiling to invest money into it why the hell should I or anyone else. They wanted a Kickstarter project without paying a fee to the well respected and well known Kickstarter platform. They didn’t even gave you a secure way to pay since they wanted you to pay through PayPal but at the deadline limite to ask for your money back!!! It’s like they were saying: “We don trust on our project enough to invest money in it but we think that you should.” “Since we don’t have enough money we could do it with the help of a platform that helps ppl like us achieve theirs goals but we hate the thought of having to share a small part of our profit.” “We could try to delay the payment so you at least have the safety provided by PayPal but we rather you trust us blindly.”. Ramen Toys wants the costumers to take all the risks while they keep all the profit and in return the costumers get a crappy set of action figures, built with cheap materials, who can’t even stand strait and have the worst head sculpts ever.
      In my opinion these Ramen Toys Centurions aren’t that good but the price point places them up there with Storm Toys and Threezero.
