My childhood was spent pretty much during the 70's. I was born in 1967 so I was 13 when 1980 came along, however I still remember that time and just how many cool and innovative toys came out. Being a 70's kid I'm a bit more partial to the 70's but I truly understand how the 80's could easily be the best as well. It was a really great time to be a kid!
Man, we had the best toys in the 80's. I had everything He-man, Centurions, and M.A.S.K. I LOVED the big Semi from M.A.S.K. Who else had the 3ft tall Voltron growing up?
This just made me wanna be a kid again. Sitting in front of the tv, on a Saturday Morning, w/o a care in the world, except trying to get my mother to buy me Everything I saw in the commercials 😫😢😫😄💯
Thank you for posting this. My brother and I had some of these. The commercials bring back great memories of playing with them. We played with the cars, tractors and Tonka heavy equipment toys the most. Back when the Tonkas were still mostly steel. We also liked putting models together. We liked the building sets from the decade. I liked Capsella, my brother liked Construx.
late 80s had to be the peak of plastic toy invention and creativity, there were so many influences at the time companies could profit from.. movies, cartoons, music, games, and sports.. it really had to be peak fun and money for toy stores too. glad i grew up in this era. Capscela, radioshack electronic kits and chemistry labs kits is what i grew up on
never had one but have read alotta kids bought the manglore figures and did pull them apart but ended up getting frustrated because the toys wouldn't actually go back together as well as they commercials claimed they would!!!
Omg battle beasts i had a few of those things. I think the sticker on their chest qas holographic or chrome if i remember correctly. This is such a nostalgic rush.
What is really scary is that I remember every one of these commercials almost WORD for WORD!! I wonder if I could have become if these were commercials full of science facts lol.
Those guys in the 80s knew how to sell some action figures. All i needes to see was a part of a he-man or gi joe commercial to get me to beg my parents for whatever they were selling. He-man, gi joe, ninja turtles, m.a.s.k, transformers, go-bots, hell even beetlejuice. I needed to have whatever it was
Hi Nick, Yes! Those are my absolute favorite types of commercials. I have an 80's board games compilation premiering tonight and then new 80's toys and 80's cereals compilations next weekend. Thanks for watching!
How many episodes of Dino-Riders did they win by knocking the brain control thing off the T-Rex? Seriously, you'd think with the endless tech someone could just say, "Chin Strap?"
Wish still had all cen ,mask, ghost, turtles , thunder c.,,,gi,.. xmen, terminator, robo cop , batman animated,..aliens, and more dam had em all figures bak in the day
What was your favorite toy from the 80's?
All of them !!!!!!
GI Joe amphibious personnel carrier.
Tonka and Mirco Machines and CLAW
Too many greats to say a favorite. I had the Capsela 400 set. That rated way up on the scale for me.
My Captain power toys
The 80s was the absolute best time to grow up as a kid. So much innovation everywhere. So happy to have been a kid in that era
me too
80's Toylines were Legendary.

Centurions!!!!! OMG! They were ahead of the time and underrated
Almost gi joe, almost transformers, definitely neither! Nice try Cincinnati!
Ya was cool their action figures where bigger than the Gi joe guys. I had the Centurions kicking the crap out of my Gi joe guys.
These commercials make anyone else sad? We had it so good in the 80s as kids... so hard to believe I'm 40 now :P
They do make me sad, but I can’t stop watching them.
Growing up as a child in the 80’s was amazing! I wish I could go back!
It really was. It felt like every week a new line of toys were being introduced.

I LOVED the big Semi from M.A.S.K.
Who else had the 3ft tall Voltron growing up?
my neighbor had all of the Voltron lions.
Man... I had so many of these. I absolutely LOVED Battle Beasts, Boglins, and Construx. I still have most of my Battle Beasts to this day.
This just made me wanna be a kid again. Sitting in front of the tv, on a Saturday Morning, w/o a care in the world, except trying to get my mother to buy me Everything I saw in the commercials 😫😢😫😄💯
I was telling my daughter about how I used to wake up at like 630 on Saturday mornings just so I can watch all the cartoons. She thought I was crazy
The Micro Machines commercials should just play in a loop on a TV stand inside a museum

I love the 80s and 90s
My favorite 80s toy has to be my voltron...it was my favorite cartoon at the time
I’m a newer fan, but I’m still a huge fan of my Netflix Voltron!
6:20 I forgot how many tie-ins came attached
Army Ants, loved those and had them all. Wish I had all the Micro Machines, but definitely had the pocket playsets.
never had one but have read alotta kids bought the manglore figures and did pull them apart but ended up getting frustrated because the toys wouldn't actually go back together as well as they commercials claimed they would!!!
Crazy part is these toys are worth ALOT of money now and mostly all of us as a kid had them one-time or another.
I think about that sometimes. Seeing how much toys and games from then go for now sad. On the good side though I had a great time playing with them
Im only 30 mins in and i remember so much of this stuff. I loved the construx and battle beasts and that cheap ass Knight Rider big wheel 😂
Awesome collection of ads..some of these I remember I havnt seen in years, best toyline was GI Joe.
back when everything are awesome.
I love finding vids like this when im baked.
Omg battle beasts i had a few of those things. I think the sticker on their chest qas holographic or chrome if i remember correctly. This is such a nostalgic rush.
I did not born in 1980 but I love watching old commercials like this i like to watch an old thing like old movie old tv show😢😢
To be a kid again. I didn’t know how lucky I was until I became an adult 😢😢
Not one GI Joe commercial? Were they only played during the Joe cartoons?
7:00 Brian Austin Green in that commercial before having all those kids with Megan Fox and Sharna Burgess lol.
I still think about my old Army Gear Flashlight Crane thing😂😢
I forgot about Megaforce toys. Great times.
This is by far the best series of toy commercials ever compiled.
What is really scary is that I remember every one of these commercials almost WORD for WORD!! I wonder if I could have become if these were commercials full of science facts lol.
i still have all of my micro machines, I don't know how many, but probably all of them.
31:46 I owned a Lazer Tag Game Kit: StarLyte, Sensor, Belt, Cap, Base & Game Book from TSR. Ahhhhhh, they just don't make'em like THAT...anymore.
Those thumb wrestlers 😂😂
I had a robocop toy that would shoot caps! I remember that domino rally commercial
We'll NEVER se Entertech auto-fire water guns again!
Boglins and Madballs were the best!!!
Everybody had a Nerf football . My favorite toys were probably Dino Riders and Battle Beasts .
Love this

I had that blue centurion and never knew what it was called. Now I know.
Is that a young Jordan Peele in the Construx commercial 🤔
😂 could be Lil Forest Whitaker.
Remember when kids used their imagination and played with toys? I miss those days.
Awesome toys commercial❤😊
BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED
Legos and video games now...that's it.
Do kids still play with toys?

See? Food fight ripped off food fighters!
They can sell guns to kids on TV in the 80s? Awesome!!!
These seem mostly boycentric. Was hoping to see the dolls and stuff that I remembered from my childhood.
Wish still had all cen ,mask, ghost, turtles , thunder c.,,,gi,.. xmen, terminator, robo cop , batman animated,..aliens, and more dam had em all figures bak in the day
Manglors was one of the biggest disappointments back in the day.
Omg! Crystar!
What toys are kids into nowadays? For every cartoon there was a collection of toys.
The toys are called "Apple" and "Ipad".
cool
Thudercats
Who else felt like we might've been the reason the cold war stopped (when the wall came down) bc WE played with these toys and THEY didn't! Lol
Manteak
I miss these days. They dont make toys like these any more.. Kids these days are fat, lazy and dumber.., Everything are Tablets and cell phone games..
Fucking micro machine advertising
Says 80s, but has 90s commercials. I call a bunch of bunk. Compiled by a clueless gen z.
