Don't forget the sweat bottles. Also he looks like someone chronically online tired after defending their multi billion dollar company all night instead of sleeping
Exactly, their powercreep is just a very clear damage output test... I'm not playing better, just doing more numbers. My teams aren't more efficient or sinergized, they just add more zeroes to their attacks.
@@mistro504 Imaginarium Theater is difficult, but not the right kind of difficult. It’s difficult to play in general. Instead of being a test of mettle, it’s a character check between 3 random elements and you won’t even be making a genuine usable team half the time I don’t want to play Arlecchino, Gorou, and Tighnari on one team
The powercreep in HSR is real and anyone denying it is delusional, it is even ferocious to the point where you don't have much option but to yield to the current meta and buy the new shiny toys if you want to clear. Y'all act like you don't just use the same teams and units nowdays to clear, all i see for the most part are feixao team, archeron team and superbreak. This is exactly why I won't invest in meta or endgame because 70% of the "current meta" are characters I don't like. Most of my fav were in 1. Version and that version is already dead (unless you hyper invested) with very few survivors, some of them are only good in specific situations.
Most people just don't understand that powercreep isn't the main issue, it's the rate at which the unit gets powercrept, if a character falls off after a year, that's completely fine but if it happens every 3-6 months then it's f**king bs, especially characters like Acheron who get hyped up as the "strongest" in story
Right and whenever people try to call this out, people purposely misconstrue this argument into an extreme. It's just overall laziness especially when they're powercreeping existing rolls instead of creating new ones like Overhealing or Quantum dot amplification.
In HSR it's no longer every 3 to 6 months. Literally every single patch power creeps the previous one, and since 2.0 the power creep has gotten consistently greater with every successive single patch as well. At this rate units will soon begin to fall off in a month or two, and stop being viable in three months max.
Facts. And then we have to deal with these gaslighting tards who are so hung up on shilling the game that they keep saying "powercreep's not a thing." 😂
In HSR power creep REALLY matters. It doesn't matter how good you are, it doesn't matter how well built your characters are, it doesn't matter how MANY characters you have. This is becoming more and more apparent as we receive more cycles of PF/Apoc. Either you've paid to get the best character (or current banner) or you struggle. And even if you have the best teams you still might struggle. A gacha game shouldn't be designed like this. Genshin actually does this correct in comparison
Reverse 1999 will release a new progression system in their 2.3 patch that aims to bring older characters back up to current standards. They will continue to add this progression system to other characters as time moves on. And they may even expand and improve upon it to ensure units will retain their value. That means every single banner will retain its value and therefore your time and money is never wasted.
@@Satyr42 I used to really like r1999 but after it became an endless chore fest of raising characters .5% piece by piece every day I just checked out. I really thought that game had potential. At least I pulled "6" before quitting completely. If they ever add pvp I might come back. Imo pvp is the only thing that can save that game.
If so, it's at least one thing genshin does better. But does it really though? Sounds a bit like skill issue. Or lack of strategy plan. Not trying to belittle or being a jackass or elitist about it. Content on both of these games are not that difficult, just wondering if that's really the case as there is a lot of powercreep and lazy health bar enlargement on genshin. Though I guess you did say "in comparison". I stopped playing genshin as there are a lot of better gachas out there to spend time on, and I only get the 5$ for daily resource once a month on HSR and it's a breeze to clear content tbh. IMO powercreep isn't that serious until the game is too old and devs get desperate. On that note, out of older titles, Epic7 is the one that's holding up the most, though it's so grindy and time consuming I stopped it too. Loved HI3, FEH, FFBE, DBZ DB, Granblue, FGO and many more, but they also had to go. HSR, WuWa, Counterside, Nikke and Blue Archive are my guilty pleasure drugs lately.
@17:13 ☝️🤓 "every character, no matter how weak can be viable in HSR thanks to the relic system." "You DO need to get lucky though" 😂 Then it's NOT a viable option! You can grind every day for the rest of your damn life and still not get the god-tier relic set you need on your character. 💡 Furthermore, no matter what relics you get, your character's DPS ceiling is far lower than the newest character's and the gap will only widen further over the game's lifespan. There's no relic set that's gonna help you bypass that. 💡 And also, as seen with super break (and now the summon meta that's coming up), new mechanics will be added to make the game more complex. And with it, there will be new enemies who require those mechanics (who also have far more HP and higher defense stats) to pressure you to use the newest character. I'm sick of this copium bullshyte. 🙄 People make fun of Genshin stans for their refusal to accept the reality of the game state, but this overly-optimistic attitude to this situation in HSR is just as laughable. ✋️ No one's saying you can't enjoy the game. 😂 But at least acknowledge it for what it is instead of gaslighting people by telling them that the thing we all see happening in front of our eyes is somehow not happening!
I agree. It would take me 30-60 tries to clear with the old units while it only takes 1-3 tries if I use newer ones, even if my old units have decent relics. And I didn't have a problem with that until APoc recently, where I couldn't clear it full stars w/o superbreak, no matter how many times I tried, no matter which teams I used. I rage pulled for Rappa and as soon as she was ready (not even maxed traces), I cleared APoc full stars in one try. Tried her in MoC as well, which I cleared after 1 million tries, and got it in the first try, only one cycling it w/o trying. Yeahhh I think the reason why it's not as glaringly obvious to people cause they have the newer meta units thus they're having an easier time with the game.
well if you pulled a character 10 years ago you had a lot of time to gear them up before they got powercrept, so you should have good relics for them anyways
@@Sergmanny46 if you don't want new characters to be stronger, why pull for them? and if you don't pull for them, why do you need the currency from the endgame anyways?
People overhype the charater when entire endgame meta , enimies buffs are all in their favour like these units can never be powercreep and then as we move to next meta units falls off hard
Some people are paid to soft sell certain characters (product), which is why some reactions are rather odd/overhyped/botted. My agency do this kind of stuff. The fixed fee is very small, massive audience and sales give us bigger payment (because it's commissioned by the company). Business doesn't care about people opinions if products sell well.
@@foodelicious5971 True. Even computer shops in our country are commissioned now not just to bot views but also to bot comments, irregardless if it's true or false. It's just business and money and they are being paid for it to do their job.
That’s 1 of the reasons i didn’t pull feixiao, Regardless of all Ive heard about her being broken, i already have Dps, so i skipped her and got more eidolons on Robin. Supports last longer then the new shiny DPS, im better off getting a 3.X dps then feixiao.
I had played GFL a year ago. Although This game has almost to no powercreep but it's tough to progress for beginniner (mostly by difficulty spike) and ranking mode was exhausting to do. It's need very strong team and great strategies to win battles. And in the endgame mode mobs always come with strong teams some are impossible without great advantage (I called the impossible one "deathstack"). This gamemode took me no less than 1 hour (sometimes i forgot to sleep doing it). When compare to HSR that has 3 endgame modes that reset every 6 weeks. This game don't need powercreep to make the game 100x harder than MOC12 in HSR (Even story mode harder than MOC12)
@@ShiroganeKaiser I meant it like we need more different units, different buffs, different gameplays. More varieties is obviously more fun! It doesn't have anything to do with powercreep.
HSR players know it the hard way. I don't really have a problem about the Powercreep since we can just avoid endgame content as I do but they need to help those who are serious about it. Honestly they need to make it easier to build characters for the Players but NO. If characters are easily built and are good enough to even keep up with new units if built well, a non-negligible percentage of Players won't pull them so of course they won't do that. By the time some players have finally built their characters, they'd get powercrept by new units. This is how HSR riggt now
@toukoenriaze9870 that's definitely true. And we add Eidolons to make it worse for casual and F2P Players. All my characters except 4-stars and Free characters are E0 except Bronya and Gepard
I dont even think powercreep in hsr is about the characters. Im more annoyed that they keep stacking health and speed on bosses to insane levels. Especially with how limited the roster for preservation units are rn, Hoolay is especially annoying. Dude moves at a million miles an hour and has the health of a Greek god seriously
Bro, yall may not like having two characters that share the same role, but believe me when I say being blessed with both Clara and Yunli actually helps fund my Feixiao stacks when the bosses are faster than my other supports. Speed boots? Parry. Target lock? ClaraYunli forced aggro. Sustain? Destruction tanks. Hotel? Travago.
7:10 "the hoyoverse don't even have that" . If i had a dime for everytime honkai impact doesn't recognized as hoyoverse game, i would have two. But it's weird it happen twice.
What the character does doesn't matter to me nearly as much as whether I like the character model or story. Like I wasn't sure about Yunli, but I enjoyed her in the story enough that i pulled for her and got her. More recently, I think Rappa had the most personality out of the entire roster of characters. I'll pull a character if I like them, but I have to really really like them to get the character and their LC.
Powercreep in this game is toxic. 😐 Some people overthink it far too much when the answer is simple and obvious. There's nothing confusing about it unless you're trying to cope. Powercreep is Powercreep. Powercreep is annoying in HSR, not just because it's stressful to deal with as an f2p, but also because the main reason to play HSR is for the characters you like. 🤷♂ But you get punished for liking the characters and getting attached to them because the game doesn't want you to be using them for too long. The game wants you to swiftly throw out the old for the new. 🤔 Every time someone says, "There's no powercreep, I beat MoC 12 with Herta," they're never telling you the whole truth. In reality, they have godtier relics, the latest character on their team with Herta as a 4th slot add-on, and/or a limited 5 star lightcone equipped on that same 4 star Herta they're bragging about. The cope and dishonesty are annoying. 💡 The only way to bypass powercreep and the game modes altering themselves per patch to support the current rate up unit is to invest into your account with money. Either pay to win or just skip most of the game's content and cross your fingers to hope you're good enough to at least complete the main story (which I personally struggled with in Penacony because I didn't have any break characters on my account other than Harmony MC and Gallgher). 🤔 And in such a situation, you have to ask yourself if playing the game is even worth it as f2p. All the other game modes are insufferable unless you invest in the latest unit who will just go out of fashion soon enough anyway. The dream of going on a galactic adventure with just your favorite characters is dead. If your favorites were Blade and Kafka, the dream is dead. Do you really wanna waste your time (and / or money) pulling for characters you don't like who might either become obsolete like Sparkle did or get powercrept to hell and back like Jingliu did anyway? 💡🤔 As an F2P, the only other way around this issue I could think of is to invest in E6'ing my favorite characters and S5'ing their lightcones whenever a rerun banner appears. That way, I don't have to force myself to pull and build characters that I don't care for. 🙃 But even this solution has a time limit. Even if I got an E6, S5 Blade, by the 2nd or 3rd anniversary of HSR, with the rate of powercreep (and game modes becoming more difficult to accommodate the higher DPS ceiling of the newest characters), even an E6, S5 Blade might become weak compared to the E0, S0 of the newest character at that time. When that day comes, how would I feel? Like I wasted my life? Yep. 🫠 There's no real gameplay in HSR, it's just full auto except for the few special moments in story. You can't do anything with the characters you pulled other than full-auto or be a try-hard for boring fights outside of story without much reward for your extra effort (trying harder than everyone who either paid money or had enough free pulls to get the current patch's shiny new character. 🫣 The only real value the game has is the story with its fake multiple choice options that don't even matter. Why not just watch a playthrough then and spend time playing another game? A game that actually encourages you to "play" it. HSR is an idle game with extra steps at this point. 😅 Even if ZZZ is easy, at least you actually get to "play" around and do things most of the time. This being the situation, why "pretend to play" HSR as an f2p? Where's the reward in that, especially if you're not having fun. You're just doing chores, logging in everyday, doing your best to keep up. And now the game just doesn't want you to play certain modes at all if you didn't have the foresight to skip every banner except break. And according to dreams, there's yet another new playstyle being added that everyone will have to migrate to. So, break mains, good luck with that. 😐 Anyway, people will forever deny the word "powercreep" only because they don't want to accept the reality of the situation. 🤷♂ When I see this being the norm, I know the devs are not going to do anything to fix it. This is HSR and it's a matter of coping and accepting it or leaving it behind for greener pastures. ⚠ I'm not saying everyone should be upset about it. But at least accept the situation for what it is. I'd have far more respect for someone if they say, ☺ "yeah, HSR isn't a skill-based game, it leans towards pay to win, and it's not really a good experience for f2p's long-term. But y'know what, I still love this game despite all that, so I'm gonna keep playing even if you don't." 😅 I'd rather people just own up and say that instead of trying to get philosophical about the deep untapped profound meanings of the word known as "powercreep."
I'm a day 1 player and a low spender and I can clear all end game content. And yet I really dislike the power creep in this game. I spent time and money on acquiring characters only to have them be ground to dust in the ever churning meta mills after a patch or two. It's getting ridiculous. And frankly, it's beginning to piss me off.
The ignore elemental weakness, or self-add attacking character elemental weakness, is the real power creep of HSR. Even tho Seele was crept long ago when Qingque got her first rate up banner, everyone got krept by characters that dont even care what weakness the enemy is. Tho, those characters also serve to make a lot of the games modern combat easier, particularly for the newer players who dont even have a lot. I remember seeing so many players leaning on seele for fights that dont even have quantum weakness because they had to or decided to skip everything that came after. Then they go to hoyolab asking why the fights so hard...
@@Devin_in_chat Pokemon's main playthrough isn't, but it's mechanics and complexity truly shine in online battles. Persona has much more variety than HSR and more skills per character. There's also an aspect of resourse management and the element system is aslo way more nuanced in Persona, especially in P5R. I'm not even gonna mention Pokemon's elemental system.
@RandoGGS If people had to memorize every element combo and buuld their own teams, then Pokémon could technically be considered harder than HSR. But most pvp battles just boil down to if you happened to pick good matchups for your meta comps vs theirs, and all the attack type considerations have already bern built into the meta comps. If HSR had pvp, it would be just as "complicated" as Pokémon, which is evident by the fact that the main playthrough of Pokémon is effortless.
9:42 I think it's due to newer character passives and sht being a wall of text you can't even understand the first time you read through it....or won't even bother and look up on youtube. meanwhile hsr is simple: character mainly breaks, character mainly ults etc.
@@lsmsm9this isn’t a reason to just accept terrible game conditions? We should always strive to make things better lol not just accept it or run away from it
In case of yunli and Clara I don’t really think there is power Creek. Because if you get E1 Clara, which is very doable since she is a standard banner character once she has hit a unit with her counter mark she essentially just becomes the best every target DPS because she does a ton of damage with her skill and it always hit everybody saying that there isn’t some issue but I don’t think at least it seems as bad as everyone is making it out to be and honestly why not just use both?
Havent watch whole video yet but for me I dont care if my character is get powercreeped by another character , what i hate is when the game force us to not use powercreep'ed old character
I think its that many content creators tends to overhype new chars when all the pf bonuses are in that new char favor. When a cc comes out with a video saying the new char is mid at best after the bonuses then u will have 3 other cc making videos about how op the new char is and it is a must pull.
I really like how Nikke does pvp, being matched against people who created their accounts around the same time actually makes it fair. Those who put in the work can absolutely reach some nice ranks. You will eventually accumulate a lot of Nikkes and gear and it's good to have some use for them.
Power Creep is inevitable in ANY online multiplayer game with power. MMORPGs (tier sets, level cap increases), Hero shooters, MOBAs, Shooters really any game
The difference is those "ANY online multiplayer game" you said release updates with balanced changes to units, not being scared of the bullsh*t called "players' crying"
The difference is HSR gacha rate is somehow the same as GI gacha rate and GI characters powercreep issues are not that bad as can use old characters to clear most contents
My problem here is that you pull the character, you waste your time building that character, and a few patches later they become powercrept to the point where you struggle with them a lot instead of enjoying a smooth playing. And what if you really like that unit? You want to play with them, but simply can't bc bosses became so tough, that this character can't beat them anymore with ease like it was let's say last patch. That's my personal issue tbh. Since apoc shadow was introduced i was able to full star clear it, until this patch (2.6), bc no matter what i struggle with yhe second phase. I tried different teams, nothing works for me, bc i either don't have a specific units (like Acheron, Feixao, Firefly etc) or don't have specific 4* at c6 (like Tingyun, Gallagher, etc). I also don't have Robin or Sparcle. And it's annoying that i need to pull for characters i don't like in order to win. For me, personally, if you can't clear some content with any unit without specific conditions or supports - it means the game has powercreep, and it honestly demotivates me to play. Bc i want to invest in units i like, and i want them conquer any content, if they can't - it makes me really sad. Bc i like this game, i just don't like this powercreep bs that's going on. I'm afraid that if at one point i'll reach a moment where my Boothill won't be able to beat enemies with 2-4 hits and will demand more rotations to the point of me losing a challenge - i'll quit this game. It's no point in playing it if i can't have fun with the units i like. Struggling is not equal fun. At least for me. "2 or 3 cycles more than a new unit as long as you can clear it who cares?" - fock off, i care!
>Wants to use old units >Refuses to get the broken support to make the old unit strong again > Doesn't want to get the correct characters to build a team, says the game has powercreep Even seele can clear content easily, just get E1S1 robin e0s0 sparkle preferably Gallagher as the sustain (to fill robin ult with qpq). If you refuse to get the broken support how tf are you expecting a old unit to perform good? Even Feixaio is mid without Robin (unless you're like me and do triple hunt team with Topaz moze, that team surprisingly is pretty good, although my topaz is E1S1). Btw if your issue is with Sunday boss in AS try super break himeko she's pretty good against him. Edit: my Gallagher was E5 and he's fine without the e6 it's just for specific stuff like boothill doing double break against hoolay in this MOC that his E6 is needed.
@IlyaV2 if i don't play "meta" am i not allowed to complain? And you say it like it's easy to get units in this game. "Just get this or that" Yeah, if you're a whale, maybe, but i'm not, and my account isn't that lucky when it comes to pulls. At best i can afford 1 unit with LC every 2-3 patches, if i win 50/50 that is. Bc not long ago i lost on Jiaoqiu's LC at 75 pity, and got Kafka's LC (which i always wanted for her) exactly at 80 pity. Combined with the loss of 50/50 on Jiaoqiu himself i wasted almost (if not more than) 300 pulls only on that, i don't have currency anymore, and i don't think i'll have enough by the time Fugue arrives, to secure her and her LC (i still need LC for Jiaoqiu). My point is - i pull characters i like, i build teams around them if i can. I don't play fua, so there's no point for me to pull for Robin. If there'll be a unit one day that i'll like and will play from fua - i'll consider Robin if she'll be viable by that time. Also your Gallagher is e5, mine is literally e0, he can't cleanse! And i don't have Himeko, i do have e5 Bailu on the other hand, but i doubt she'll help me with that boss. If i feel, like i need the unit and i won't mind getting them - i'll, but there's just no point if i don't like those units. I despise Acheron, she's ugly, i'll never pull for her. Same with Feixao. Just meh~ Saying "do this, get that" is easy, on the practice you sound like an *diot who boasts about how smart you are that you pulled all those characters despite the fact of you liking them or not and forces your ways of playing on person who stated "i pull only those characters i like" part.
@@IlyaV2you quite literally just brought up the issue with hsr “ you wanna make X character even slightly useful go pull this string of characters” Which isn’t exactly easy considering the fact that 1: at most you’ll only have enough resources for one of those characters at a time 2: there’s probably more appealing characters that make it harder to want them Hsr is by far the worst case of character creep u can imagine because if u don’t have something you’re just fucked cuz lack of alternatives
@amari7782 brother it's a team based Gacha You can't say FF is bad because I don't like HMC RM Fugue Lingsha Gallagher and don't want to pull them (or for HMC to build him). If you want to use ratio but refuse to pull any sustain that has a debuff because you don't like them or refuse to use moze because he's a 4 star (or not getting topaz because to work with ratio she needs E1S1) well... you're the issue not the old character. (Same thing for seele if you want to use her get E1 Robin and sparkle) the game is giving you the tools you need to make a team around a character, that character will get better results with more powerful tools (5 Star harmony or for acheron JQ). Look i like blade and he's my favorite character, do you really think I'm going to complain about not having HP buffer since 1.2 and when we get one I'll complain again that I don't like the character? No I'll get the character and if E1 S1 is broken I'll get those aswell. Because they make a character i want to use Good or even broken. EDIT: that's just gacha game stuff pick who you need right now and get others on reruns, if you refuse to spend money on it (which you should, don't spend hundreds pf USD on a Gacha game) have realistic expectations.
KURO GAMES has a different approach then most gacha devs. PGR buffs old characters by giving them new skill and new passives ("leap skill"). New characters are still stronger but these buffs make old characters viable in new harder content.
"viable" as in "able to clear without running out of time(unless we talking about warzone, then they still lose to death timers). However pgr endgame resolves around PvEvP, and weaker characters don't cut it.
Just make a male version of any Quantum like how they make a female version of Jiaoqiu and Gallagher. Idk what stops them from creating a Quantum male lol.
Not just quantum male but quantum characters in itself. Even endgame doesn't have quantum weakness because they are not even any new characters for that time which is now. It's laughable that quantum become the useless element. All tier 0 having various elements but quantum lmao. 😂
E3 Clara's super fun. Can't wait for e6. When the new counter girl got her MOC buff Clara smashed lol I've yet to get 36 stars in Genshin, been playing for 3 yrs lol smh.
Star Rail could easily put PVP in the game with how they started to make "Test Versions" of characters these days. They could just create a mode called like "Nameless Path" where you could put a Team made of Test Versions of your characters, and battle against other player's Test teams. it could even be Auto Battles, it would still work. "Oh but it would still require you to have the character", some PVP modes in gachas reward you just by participating, they could just do that and give more unique prizes to people who get higher ranks. Not Gems, but some unique items to put in the upcoming Party Cart in the express, or Icons, Phone backgrounds, etc etc...
Another argument about the comparison of Clara and Yunli is eidolons. To get Yunli E5, you'll have to spend a ton of money. To get Clara E6, you just have to be lucky and unlucky. Lemme clarify. Lucky as in when pulling on the standard banner and unlucky when losing the 50/50 to her. I currently got an E5 Clara. Why would I invest in Yunli ? I'm one eidolon away from Clara not even needing her ult to counter when allies are attacked with a 50% chance.
This is why I do like FGO you have 1 stars that can shift the meta , I pulled Arjuna alter 4 years ago and he still does his job even in JP which is 2 years with Koyanskya and Oberon Regardless I’ve been saying powercreep as far as numbers go is realistic but it makes no difference when your older characters get you all your stellerons
Yep, it's really nice that they haven't powercrept a character that still outdamages 97% of the characters when paired with two of the best meta support characters
@ the k it thing is getting the meta characters 😏 regardless he’s a beast when he is solo, using public servants is amazing I thought I would be the same way for HSR but I feel that I wouldn’t have made it as far without using other peoples

5:09 Now that I think about it, putting PVP in Honkai Star Rail is genuinely impossible. There are WAY TOO MANY broken factors you’d have to consider: Will Break teams become irrelevant? You’d have to give each HSR character their own weaknesses Will Robin and Dance Dance Dance be banned? Robin could be managed well but DDD spam is definitely something Hoyo doesn’t like Healers would have to be significantly weakened or else neither side would ever die. Almost half the cast inflicts debuffs with their attacks but Huohuo would invalidate literally everything. Actually, Huohuo would completely invalidate all Ratio teams. Same nerfs would have to be given for shielders, because Fu Xuan would invalidate Acheron teams Hypothetically speaking, would PVP make DOT teams absolutely busted? Would you be able to use Techniques before battle? If you could, then that makes Acheron and Feixiao a huge problem. If you couldn’t, then characters like Herta, Aventurine, and HMC would be nerfed hard What would be the Eidolon limit? I think it should be E0S1 for every character, but whales would definitely complain that they can’t use their E6S5 Feixiao to obliterate everything If they did PvP, everyone should be defaulted into level 80 characters with level 7 traces and their S1 light cone I have zero clue how Hoyo would implement it but I’d wanna see chaos 26:38 YESSS GIANT SWORD IS COOLER THAN SVAROG
powercreep is only effecting 1% of the whole game , and it is to some point necessary , and i believe in " love what you get" rather then "get what you love" cause sometimes they will make a hot character that sucks to play and make you hate em instead , and people get baited into getting them, if you re an F2P, you will regret spending 120 pulls on a character that cant work, and cant help your account progress. The "make a team around your favorite character" is even more depressing when that character can barely do his/her job... i made a video about it few days ago
@@chocobro3198 Actually, I honestly don't see it all as a problem, not even the 5 star becoming useless. I'll continue using the char even if just for the sake of the hard mode. In ZZZ I have Jane Doe but still use Piper, for example

15:10 I mean I don't think it's just a matter of getting the most fuckable characters. I can't imagine genshin without kazuha's conveniency. I almost never pull for male characters but I almost can't go explore without having him in my team, typically and reluctantly sacrificing the slot of a character I would smash, but it's worth it. There has to be a little organization to the account and some synergy between units which motivates pulling on otherwise, not necessarily undesirable 5star characters but not the most desired either.
PVP is very doable in ANY and EVERY GACHA. I really enjoy king's raid, grandchase dimensional chaser and epic seven tbh they can just change pvp mechanics and turn off dupes effect and etc. lol. So many things can be done tbh. Those who want pvp can do it and those who don't just don't.
Genshin has powercreep but it doesnt matter because the games fuggin easy. like it straight up doesnt matter if its better its still easy as hell. HSR has insane powercreep but we do get tons of summons to make up for it so its cool. ZZZ is still in the beginning

LMAO And no, I am not personally offended, I've played over 50 gacha games, and many non-hoyo ones religiously for years. I just genuinely think it's cringe to behave in this way.
You are techically incorrect in the statement where you said the only people that can compete are the day 1 players, Kelianbao started summoners 3 years ago and is the best player right now without contest, He also made an alt a few months ago thats currently ranked in the top 30, which can be enough to qualify for SWC, Theres also players in E7 that have gotten top ranks in a few years, The reason why you are only techically incorrect, Is that they spent litteral milllions, And we know 99.9999% of people who watch this video, spent their weekly allowance from their daddies on a battlepass and a login pass,
Usually when I hear about powercreep it's about the fact the content exceeds the strength of the old characters and the new characters are the only good ones. Even then when it comes to honkai the issue is the speed of the powercreep and the difficulty of min maxing relics for older characters in order to use them. Along with the fact that most of the time instead of using the old character you can just use a better character with the same other 3 characters for much less time sink. Also this guy seems so bitter towards everyone just because he plays a "hard" gacha.
Nah at least for hsr you cant clear the new content with old units unless you are giga invested like i am with my DoT team. 2hu rlly thought he cooked with this one. I would agree with him pre firefly
Power creeps actually not necessary it's just to sell new characters because they wouldn't sell as well. Better feeling characters and content is all they need for real.
10:12 how is hsr a bit more complicated than the average turn based? More often than not its complexity is just stat tuning that hardly matters that much
The problem isn't the combat being simple, the problem is that the combat is so bare bones it's just boring. After the shitshow that Penacony's story was I just quit the game, and it seems I made the right call
@yea i really don’t understand why people hype up this game so much because even when it comes to new characters it’s literally just “ wow this character does so much dmg” Discussions in this game are massive nothing burgers for gameplay and yea penacony was the biggest disappointment ive seen. All the hype for it to be the corniest most lack luster story ive ever read in any gacha
@@amari7782nah,most lackluster story is definitely Hi3rd's moon arc. Everything in that arc was good except the story. Their trailers were high quality, their characters were fun to play, freebies and an amazing boss fight. It's just the story sucked, the only thing that should not have sucked.
I understand powercreep being a problem if it's something like Guardian Tales's arena game mode or if the game is just so difficult that you're forced to play meta 24/7. However, Hoyo games aren't that difficult in general. You can just be free to play and still win the game. Pve is a lot less investment needy than Pvp.
I can't say about other gachas, but in hsr Powercreep is UNBEARBLY BAD. My f2p ass will try to build a team that & when i'm finished it'll be already powercrept. Its crazy how unbalancing it becomes. A characters unique skill just becomes the next characters passive. Unless you're pulling character every 2 patch, you'll fall behind like crazy, and that brings me to characters,WHY THE HELL IS THERE SO MANY 5* CHARACTERS. The game came out only less than 2 years ago,and it already has 50+ characters. And that's one too many even for the low spenders. It took less than 10 months for my decent team to become dog water. And at this point, its become too much considering most of your jades come from endgame.
You can still clear the content with old characters lol, it's just a matter of faster or slower, yea you may need more investment, but dog water, nah that's a skill issue
Coming from other gachas and also an F2P, HSR has one of the least powercreep issues I've played imo, there are others much much worse than this, not saying there isn't any, just is not as bad as other gacha games as what people made it out to be, it is unavoidable anyway 😅 Also, about HSR having many 5 stars, no offense but it is also funny and surprising to see so many people overreacting and freaking out over this. Maybe u all are new to gachas i guess. Many other gacha games also do this and stop making 4 stars (or SR or lower rank equivalent), so for me is just expected and pretty normal. 🤔 Genshin is probably the one of the anomaly that still surprises me that they still creating 4 star until now 4 years in, i guess maybe bcuz thw game is pretty easy and the OG 4 stars was made too broken 😂
People in the comments denying power creep in hsr still haha, Ig they ain’t see the 300% enemy hp increase we are about to get💀 But it’s fine because arlan can clear right?
Wait.... Did people actually look at Clara, or any other 5 star character from the standard banner, and think she would be GOOD? You have to be really stupid to think that you're going to use a basic unit until the end of time. Clara was never meant to be used, well neither was she nor the others in the basic banner.
Kinda old characters are slowly getting useless or outshined by new ones such as kafka yes she is still kinda viable at other situations but her specialty is dot and dot teams are getting underwhelming each update the game release all tho jing yuan and topaz is getting a huge buff thanks to sunday which is a good thing i haven't used them for ages
I still like Clara. While Yunli definitely is a bit stronger than clara E0 to E0, E1+ Clara is more likely for meople to have if theyve been playing a bit. My Clara is already E3 so 😊. Yunli's taunt is definitely better than clara's tho. E6 Clara i think is easily better than Yunli by being able to counter off others getting hit. Im still hoping for three more 50/50 losses to clara eventually. I think it would have been better if they didnt make them both physical in hindsight. Yunli could easily have been fire with how her sword tends to look like its on fire.
PowerCreep gets really bad the newer The Character is. So it ain't Too bad if you have an up to date Good Meta Character... But if you ain't getting a new Character, why are you even playing The Game? 💀
When it comes to hoyo gachas I don’t think power creep is a problem as it kinda just exist to players who care about meta, power creep goes beyond than just “I do more damage” to me,I believe powercreep is “I do your job but better”.as long as the activity can be cleared with just a little more investment it doesn’t matter honestly
Bro makes some good points but in HSR it is very noticeable, from better traces for DPS units, to better LCs, hell! even relic sets except the Quantum set are all getting powercreept xD. Just compare Seele with Feixiao, Seele's trace "less aggro"/ Fexiao "get a fuckton of dmg by just using your skills" its like a hunt unit with a harmony support incorporated in her traces xD, and don't let me get started on that Rappa LC Jesus fokin Christ! That shit even powercrept Sparkle
only moba games don't get powercrept, they revamp heroes/champions that's what they should do to hsr because holy shit the powercreep in this game is abysmal
There are gachas that actively buffs their older units without pulling for another gacha character or gear: FGO, GBF, Blue Archive, etc. It's honestly a shame to see GI and HSR not having this feature.
well if you think about it, if first generation characters can clear every content including future content, then no need to get characters, so yeah power creep
Except that’s not a good line of reasoning, if old characters can keep up with new content then you make characters and enemy variety that opens up new team design space. A straightforward example is something like FGO we have characters who’ve been around for 10 years still capable of clearing content or even being used till this day all because said characters can tackle certain enemies much better than others. Oh look an enemy has an instant death mechanic. Here’s a list of characters who counter it through revives, instant death immunity, etc.
@amari7782 yeah, I mean that's one lazy reason for gacha games to sell characters, that's why it is so nice to see new characters with new mechanics and gameplay, unlike what's happening most of the time where new characters has the same kit but just way better.

Hoyo's most common way to make the game harder: "give enemies more health" :)
I see you literally everywhere 💀...
Exactly, their powercreep is just a very clear damage output test... I'm not playing better, just doing more numbers.
My teams aren't more efficient or sinergized, they just add more zeroes to their attacks.

I don’t want to play Arlecchino, Gorou, and Tighnari on one team
Just wait for Sunday absolutely steal all sparkle niche except mono quantum team but that team already dead to begin with.

this guy is probably what people outside the gacha scene see gacha players as
I mean hes just a personification of the looser otaku stereotype basicly.
The chibi pvp in HI3 is peak hoyoverse. Especially the fall guys event
Wait, they powercrept Acheron? Who?
@@Gnidel fox girl
To this day I've never 36 moc, and my characters are decently built. The powercreep in this game is real.
I like that guys baground lol
@17:13 ☝️🤓 "every character, no matter how weak can be viable in HSR thanks to the relic system." "You DO need to get lucky though"
😂 Then it's NOT a viable option!
People make fun of Genshin stans for their refusal to accept the reality of the game state, but this overly-optimistic attitude to this situation in HSR is just as laughable.
Yeahhh
I think the reason why it's not as glaringly obvious to people cause they have the newer meta units thus they're having an easier time with the game.
Powercreep is the death sentence for all turn based games since you can't supplement character's hard ceilling limitations with play skill.
People saying there is no powercreep in genshin or star rail are akin to someone trying to cover the sun with a finger.
well if you pulled a character 10 years ago you had a lot of time to gear them up before they got powercrept, so you should have good relics for them anyways
@@Sergmanny46 if you don't want new characters to be stronger, why pull for them? and if you don't pull for them, why do you need the currency from the endgame anyways?

This is how HSR riggt now
the problem isnt the powercreep ... its that they decided powercreep was the way to go instead of making a new character with a new mechanic
Yep. 🫠
There's no real gameplay in HSR, it's just full auto except for the few special moments in story.
I'd have far more respect for someone if they say,
☺ "yeah, HSR isn't a skill-based game, it leans towards pay to win, and it's not really a good experience for f2p's long-term. But y'know what, I still love this game despite all that, so I'm gonna keep playing even if you don't."
😅 I'd rather people just own up and say that instead of trying to get philosophical about the deep untapped profound meanings of the word known as "powercreep."

I wouldn't say that HSR is a complex turn based game tbh when stuff like Persona and Pokemon exist
Yeah HSR is the simpliest
Yep. And Octopath Traveler. Even classic Final Fantasy had far more complexity. HSR is the bare minimum of a turn-based game.
persona and pokemon are not complex

@@giangtrinhtruong7952 or just buff older characters by not needing to make players roll for stronger units
"2 or 3 cycles more than a new unit as long as you can clear it who cares?" - fock off, i care!
then HSR to genshin route, bennett gaming like xD
>Wants to use old units
>Refuses to get the broken support to make the old unit strong again
> Doesn't want to get the correct characters to build a team, says the game has powercreep
Even seele can clear content easily, just get E1S1 robin e0s0 sparkle preferably Gallagher as the sustain (to fill robin ult with qpq).
Just meh~
Saying "do this, get that" is easy, on the practice you sound like an *diot who boasts about how smart you are that you pulled all those characters despite the fact of you liking them or not and forces your ways of playing on person who stated "i pull only those characters i like" part.
@@IlyaV2you quite literally just brought up the issue with hsr
“ you wanna make X character even slightly useful go pull this string of characters”
Which isn’t exactly easy considering the fact that
1: at most you’ll only have enough resources for one of those characters at a time
2: there’s probably more appealing characters that make it harder to want them
Hsr is by far the worst case of character creep u can imagine because if u don’t have something you’re just fucked cuz lack of alternatives
@amari7782 brother it's a team based Gacha
You can't say FF is bad because I don't like HMC RM Fugue Lingsha Gallagher and don't want to pull them (or for HMC to build him).
If you want to use ratio but refuse to pull any sustain that has a debuff because you don't like them or refuse to use moze because he's a 4 star (or not getting topaz because to work with ratio she needs E1S1) well... you're the issue not the old character. (Same thing for seele if you want to use her get E1 Robin and sparkle)
the game is giving you the tools you need to make a team around a character, that character will get better results with more powerful tools (5 Star harmony or for acheron JQ).
Hoyoverse is cancer
Glad i cured myself first ans left their games after couple of months
Gacha as a whole is cancer tbh
As long as a character can clear casual content and events, I personally don’t mind powercreep as long as it isn’t too often.
If only all characters get continuous Leaps. A considerable amount do not, which still doesn't rectify the problem at all.
I disagree i think pple need to bithc more about powercreep, just make different characters.
When the new counter girl got her MOC buff Clara smashed lol
I've yet to get 36 stars in Genshin, been playing for 3 yrs lol smh.
He definitely looks like he play blue archive😅
He’s the guy that people outside of the community imagines what “otakus” and “anime/gacha lovers” looks like in the community..
i love bue archive🥰🥰🥰
@@derago-dev genshin zzz and hi3rd fit pvp way more. At least you can dodge there so it won't be a 99% satstick tournament
@@barny541pretty sure dodging in hi3rd is useless.
Every move hits the entire stage nowadays.
This is why I do like FGO
you have 1 stars that can shift the meta , I pulled Arjuna alter 4 years ago and he still does his job even in JP which is 2 years with Koyanskya and Oberon
Regardless I’ve been saying powercreep as far as numbers go is realistic but it makes no difference when your older characters get you all your stellerons
@@Xeus86 AA Is a beast no doubt about it, only Summer Ibuki outdamages him in AOE if some trait damage effect isn't applicable. In ST he does fall of tho but is still very nice regardless
And they constantly give older units buffs. 4* Emiya has like 4 buffs now, it's insane
@@razzildarkbrew1952 his arts buff was mad insane . You’re right , mau nobu was garbage at release she not o my got buffed but her brother (a 1 star ) gives her a buff too
25:55 nah you kinda just hit em 💀🔥
5:09 Now that I think about it, putting PVP in Honkai Star Rail is genuinely impossible. There are WAY TOO MANY broken factors you’d have to consider:
Will Break teams become irrelevant? You’d have to give each HSR character their own weaknesses
Will Robin and Dance Dance Dance be banned? Robin could be managed well but DDD spam is definitely something Hoyo doesn’t like
Healers would have to be significantly weakened or else neither side would ever die. Almost half the cast inflicts debuffs with their attacks but Huohuo would invalidate literally everything. Actually, Huohuo would completely invalidate all Ratio teams. Same nerfs would have to be given for shielders, because Fu Xuan would invalidate Acheron teams
Hypothetically speaking, would PVP make DOT teams absolutely busted?
Would you be able to use Techniques before battle? If you could, then that makes Acheron and Feixiao a huge problem. If you couldn’t, then characters like Herta, Aventurine, and HMC would be nerfed hard
What would be the Eidolon limit? I think it should be E0S1 for every character, but whales would definitely complain that they can’t use their E6S5 Feixiao to obliterate everything
If they did PvP, everyone should be defaulted into level 80 characters with level 7 traces and their S1 light cone
I have zero clue how Hoyo would implement it but I’d wanna see chaos
26:38 YESSS GIANT SWORD IS COOLER THAN SVAROG
powercreep is only effecting 1% of the whole game , and it is to some point necessary , and i believe in " love what you get" rather then "get what you love" cause sometimes they will make a hot character that sucks to play and make you hate em instead , and people get baited into getting them, if you re an F2P, you will regret spending 120 pulls on a character that cant work, and cant help your account progress.
The "make a team around your favorite character" is even more depressing when that character can barely do his/her job... i made a video about it few days ago
It is a problem because I don't want my cute character becoming useless
You know what's even worse. When the chars you like best wind up being released as weak af 4 stars.
@@chocobro3198 Actually, I honestly don't see it all as a problem, not even the 5 star becoming useless. I'll continue using the char even if just for the sake of the hard mode. In ZZZ I have Jane Doe but still use Piper, for example
Just s5 their light cone
Btw Yanqing is a child by Loufou/long life standards. For us short life species, he's more early-mid 20s
i low key only play wuwa for satisfying dodges and parries. (i'm to broke to buy elden ring or souls games so i play with 1 character at lvl 40 vs lvl 80-90 bosses.)
Less than 2 minutes in! DHIL came out before JL lmao
Seele is Acheron at home
i hope bro finds happiness one day
15:10 I mean I don't think it's just a matter of getting the most fuckable characters.
How come you're not viral yet?!
I LOVE YOU TECTONE ❤️
Why are you gay
Calcharo is like one of the coolest WuWa characters imo so for them to Power Creep him two patches into the game with Xiangli Yao was so obnoxious.
Talking about gacha pvp, without bringing up LangrisserM
Dude why is that guy so cringe, talking in such an edgy way and as if people who don't play non-hoyo gachas are less. The elitism is so weird. Like, bro, you play trash gacha games, don't matter from what damn company. That makes you a loser per default so get off your high horse. LMAO And no, I am not personally offended, I've played over 50 gacha games, and many non-hoyo ones religiously for years. I just genuinely think it's cringe to behave in this way.
You are techically incorrect in the statement where you said the only people that can compete are the day 1 players,
Kelianbao started summoners 3 years ago and is the best player right now without contest,
He also made an alt a few months ago thats currently ranked in the top 30, which can be enough to qualify for SWC,
Theres also players in E7 that have gotten top ranks in a few years,
The reason why you are only techically incorrect,
Is that they spent litteral milllions,
And we know 99.9999% of people who watch this video, spent their weekly allowance from their daddies on a battlepass and a login pass,
did he react to the wuwa 1.4 trailer
Usually when I hear about powercreep it's about the fact the content exceeds the strength of the old characters and the new characters are the only good ones. Even then when it comes to honkai the issue is the speed of the powercreep and the difficulty of min maxing relics for older characters in order to use them. Along with the fact that most of the time instead of using the old character you can just use a better character with the same other 3 characters for much less time sink. Also this guy seems so bitter towards everyone just because he plays a "hard" gacha.
"I am not e2 ing a man" 😂😂😂
Nah at least for hsr you cant clear the new content with old units unless you are giga invested like i am with my DoT team.
More often than not its complexity is just stat tuning that hardly matters that much
Yeah it's the simpliest
@ it’s the simplest that much I’ll agree but bro acting like it requires much thinking
The problem isn't the combat being simple, the problem is that the combat is so bare bones it's just boring. After the shitshow that Penacony's story was I just quit the game, and it seems I made the right call
@yea i really don’t understand why people hype up this game so much because even when it comes to new characters it’s literally just “ wow this character does so much dmg”
Discussions in this game are massive nothing burgers for gameplay and yea penacony was the biggest disappointment ive seen.
The problem is when the new dps already gets overshadowed in 4 months
Funny thing is, you spent thousands in a game but you still have skill issues Baldy. Powercreep who?
@@ilovemalaysia if my heavily invested characters become half useless not even before 1 year,it seems more like a wallet issue to me
Coming from other gachas and also an F2P, HSR has one of the least powercreep issues I've played imo, there are others much much worse than this, not saying there isn't any, just is not as bad as other gacha games as what people made it out to be, it is unavoidable anyway 😅
Also, about HSR having many 5 stars, no offense but it is also funny and surprising to see so many people overreacting and freaking out over this. Maybe u all are new to gachas i guess. Many other gacha games also do this and stop making 4 stars (or SR or lower rank equivalent), so for me is just expected and pretty normal. 🤔
Genshin is probably the one of the anomaly that still surprises me that they still creating 4 star until now 4 years in, i guess maybe bcuz thw game is pretty easy and the OG 4 stars was made too broken 😂
People in the comments denying power creep in hsr still haha, Ig they ain’t see the 300% enemy hp increase we are about to get💀 But it’s fine because arlan can clear right?
Yall ain’t never suffered power creep in Fire Emblem Heroes and it shows.
Wait.... Did people actually look at Clara, or any other 5 star character from the standard banner, and think she would be GOOD?
You have to be really stupid to think that you're going to use a basic unit until the end of time. Clara was never meant to be used, well neither was she nor the others in the basic banner.
they should make pvp a thing as long as it doesn't become the main focus of the game
16:04 Try to give them better relics, usually that helps for doing more damage i think you didnt tried that option.
Bro is confusing parry with counter. A parry redirects or averts damage away from you. A counter attacks back after damage is taken.
Except the issue is that “little more investment” will more than likely require u replacing someone on your team which in turn is still power creep.
@ ehh
BLADE IS THE ONLY CHARACTER I CARE ABOUT PLZ LET ME E6s5 MY KING 👑 IM BEGGING TAKE MY MONEY
U forgot wind set, the true 0 cycle relic
honkai impact 3rd abyys literally u competing with a group of ppl on who clear faster. i love it tho
MOC is not difficult...even without "all the newest characters". lol
New players trying to pvp in summoners war would need to drop some serious money to catch up lol
He actually cooked on this video this time.
only moba games don't get powercrept, they revamp heroes/champions
that's what they should do to hsr because holy shit the powercreep in this game is abysmal
There are gachas that actively buffs their older units without pulling for another gacha character or gear: FGO, GBF, Blue Archive, etc.
It's honestly a shame to see GI and HSR not having this feature.
I think this guy hates everything in existence
well if you think about it, if first generation characters can clear every content including future content, then no need to get characters, so yeah power creep
Why does this guy beat off Fgo? We all know that game is shit.
Can't use kafa cause I don't have her 😢
This guy deleted all the comments on his previous video that had differing opinions what a joke. He just wants an echo chamber.
