The funnier thing is that genshin doesn't understand how BotW exploration works. The reason why BotW open world exploration did well it's because the game lets you to be slow and enjoying it, taking in every details either easter egg locations from past games or stories you came across in different regions, it's basically a giant box of fanservice for zelda fans but it also carters to new fans or casual players who just wants to enjoy open world. You play as one character and that character has slow combat style, so the exploration feels evenly paced, heck he also has utilities that if you can use them creatively you can skip climbing or launching yourself at a very long distance to skip running or horsing around the map. You also doesn't need to upgrade Link as the world automatically adjust to you depending how much you've progressed. Hoyo missed all of those points and just slapped open world to their brand new gacha game. Their fast paced characters combat compared to the slow exploration feels agonizing and boring.
It's not that everyone forgot, it's more that everyone who knows that it was widely considered (and absolutely was) a BoTW rip off is either no longer playing this game or is no longer involved in online discussions surrounding the game since they only continue to play due to sunk cost fallacy.
True, but those comparisons ended quickly after Genshins release because genshin showed that it could stand on its own legs very early on. The longer wuwu is compared to genshin, the more of a compliment it is to Genshin. And when anime gacha open world games release, they won't be compared to BOTW, they won't be compared to Wuwu, they will be compared to gensin. That is, until a game that is novel and truly better comes along.
WUWA is everything i expected in genshin when that game first release Fast pace combat like DMC/Nier/Sekiro Skip button Challenging enemy Parry system Dodge slow time QTE system
As someone who started playing genshin at the lauch (and dropped 3 months after due how toxic the monetization + fomo was), wuwa is everything i wished genshin was at that time. It's bonkers that I came to wuwa by pure chance because i really dislike playing gachas, especially the gambling aspect of it. But with the reasonable pity and you being able to buy sequences for characters, it just puts the game on another level. Im literally spending the double i used to do in genshin. Also on top of that, the gameplay is flawless on mobile, even tho i have a powerful phone, i was impressed by how optimized wuwa is. I don't even mind that the game is a blatant copy of genshin, the game is amazing and that's enough to me
You got out early lol. I dropped out before Natlan. I ignored the community and convinced myself that Genshin will do better. I loved (and still do) the environments and exploration. I thought they'll add QOL, they'll make traversal better etc. But any time they did it was half-assed or there was a major catch. New traversal options? Well they're either character specific and/or region specific. New standard banner character, Dehya? Well she's trash. Pretty sure up til now people haven't found a use for her. It's so, so bad. And they just recently did a 5* Standard selector and it's like... nah, I'll stick with WuWa, where we got a bunch of standard 5* for free, and a limited 5*. And any QOL we ask for we get, like the gun gadget so you won't have to switch to a gun character for puzzles. People asked for more resources and their response was more frequent double-drop events, etc.
@@Etherwinterand the fact that they made the QOL character specific means that they will nevers add them for others or that will make them less special
What ? Its still laggy af sometimes dropping to 30fps in some areas im using oneplus 8t snapdragon 865 its 60fps in most areas but with the new boost thing where you pick up those paws and boost ..bruh i drop to maybe 1fps and my phone temp is 38c so no thermal throttle 😑😭but kuro will make it better overtime i hope
Calling WuWa a GI clone is an insult to WuWa at this point, GI feels like its actually the cheap knockoff. 1.0 was the only rough patch in WuWa, where the only things that stood out were combat and visuals. But immediately from 1.1 all the way until 1.3, and certainly I see it continuing forever- WuWa has just been much better written and the storytelling has been superior. Its become worth to play new patches for just the cinematics alone. OSTs are the one place in gameplay where GI is better, but WuWa has some really good OSTs too now and that keeps increasing. Aside from that, popularity is the only thing GI has but it don't make it the better game, if anything they've been able to keep things mostly the same due to the large playerbase. GI is good in its own right still, but calling WuWa a GI clone is just plain funny. GI is that kid in a science fair with the baking soda volcano, that gets first place despite other participants having much better stuff on display.
Genshin have one thing over WuWa, investment. Don;t get me wrong I Play GI(day1 with few breaks) HSR (since 1.6) and WuWa (Since week 1), WuWa is a Better game, but i can see with me as an example, that people still play Genshin because how much time and possibly money they invested. GI Natlan is a big dissapointment for me, i only play until 5.3 till i can get new archon, and i will propably drop till 6.0 to see how this trainwreck goes, it's funny how Hoyoverse can have so different approach between their games, i get more enjoyment playing HSR with WuWa but i dread daily login to genshin but like i said i want archon since they are usually best supports/dps for their element so i play mostly for Meta reasons. Genshin was lucky because they didn't really have any competition until WuWa because so far everyone (like tower of fantasy) fumbled their games by trying to be genshin instead of taking the genshin formula and refining it into something better. it actually makes me want to play PGR since this appears to be better Honkai impact 3rd form the first glance
GI wishes to be in the same place as Wuwa. Wuwa has all the things that people have wanted in GI in years and more and it still keeps on improving. They also have the one thing any consumer in any video games wants. A developer that respects them and listens to their feedback, positive or negative for the sake of improvement.
@@BrianCarreraShaw I think you are the one who is on a dream and coping. Enjoy the story with 90% of the dialogue is Paimon talking to the players to overexplain, talking for herself and taking for the MC who apparently don't know how to use their mouth. Also, the unskippable dialogue of the daily quests. Complete time-wasting machine. Not even Hoyo's other games are like this. Both HSR and ZZZ are more user-friendly and respect their players.
First off, WuWa was developed in just 2 years, while Genshin took a whopping 5 years and launched with a pretty rough UI. Plus, the map wasn’t that impressive either. Now, if we’re talking about in-game content, remember that Genshin has been around for 4 years, and the stuff it releases isn’t anything groundbreaking, even though it rakes in millions every month. The gameplay often feels more like a chore than enjoyable, which is the complete opposite of WuWa. And let’s not forget, the animations in Genshin are still pretty bad and haven’t changed since launch. There’s been zero improvement over the last 4 years, so it’s hard to say Genshin is better. It seems like some folks just don’t want to face the fact that the game they’ve sunk countless hours into isn’t all that great. also wuwa is soon bringing elemental reactions back
@killuad0 no? The development started somewhere in March-April 2022 and technical test was in July and then 2 years later on March it was released. So it was only in development for 2 years bud
@killuad0 now u may say the development started way before then ur wrong, kuro literally posted staff recruitment application in feb-march for wuthering waves
As someone who played multiple hoyo games and even both PGR and WuWa, I'll put it bluntly, the only similarity between Genshin and Wuthering Waves, is the fact they are open world, that's.. literally it, nothing beyond that, the only other thing is the 50/50 on the character banner. Quite literally everything else.. is taken from other games. look at HSR for example, with the net 3 attempts for weekly bosses(not in genshin) or the 70 levels on the Battle pass(also not in genshin). WuWa doesnt have element reactions, and it has a skip button(even more differences). Genshin's materials are not only highly varied, but placing a time schedule on them makes farming them really tideous every single day of the week except for sundays, meanwhile in HSR and WuWa characters and weapons just simply share the same materials which you can farm any time. Genshin is made in the Unity Engine, WuWa is made using Unreal Engine 4, UE4 is a far more powerful engine, the gave has better details fresh out the box. WuWa has more things in common with HSR and ZZZ than it ever would show with Genshin. Quality aside, and writing aside, there's never been much evidence of the devs caring about the genshin community since the first year. If they ever did the review bombings for the first anniversary wouldn't have happened. Every single thing Genshin players spent years asking for HSR launched with them(same company, different team, but I am certain they were trying to send a message with that one). but that's all I'll mention for now, cause since the day WuWa launched it was obvious the similarities between the 2 end at just the genre, almost like how Tower of Fantasy and it's similarity end at being an Open world game, since ToF is actually and MMO while genshin isn't.
"The only similiarity between Genshin and Wuthering Waves is the fact that they are open world" And the hud. The hud is also a bit too similiar. But at this point that would be nitpicking, so i get your point.
When people will realise that both of these games are in the same genre and Genshin was inspired by legends of zelda to the point that it seems plagiarism
Fun fact: Changli is always naked infront of everyone. Her clothes are made out of fire as she cant wear any normal clothing as her body ability will just burn it.
I'm sorry but as a massive Changli fanboy i cannot find anything in the lore that actually suggests this. Would be awesome if it were the case and would make sense the way that it's summoned in, but there isn't any concrete evidence other than her animations, and for all intents and purposes they look more like the clothing is being burned away then actually being made of fire. In fact one of her "Cherished items" is a "Flame Soaked Cloth", a material that was gifted to her by Jinhsi and is immune to burning and actually becomes cleaner and whiter when exposed to fire, which very well could be the central part of her robe that does not burn away when building up her forte meter.
I can still remember clearly how i amazed with the giant spike mountain in Desorock Highland and spent like an hour to try climbing it. I got a bad encounter with that red Golem, and then free falling into Impermanence Heron nest. Man, that time was amazing
It’s NOT just a Genshin copy but that being said CC’s need to quit constantly comparing the games just to jab at the other because it creates a toxic environment
I find it funny how Kuro Games' whole business model is basically: Take a Hoyoverse game and make the gameplay better/more challenging while giving better gacha rates and rewards. First PGR for Honkai Impact and now WuWa for Genshin. They really heard "Don't like it? Then do it yourself." and said "Bet." lol.
Yes BAHAHA, like, people say "Wuwa it's a OBVIOUS copy of Genshin" but then they forgot that Wuwa and Genshin are games with the same genre, obviously will they're have similar things, but they're REALLY different.
The benefit to taking a break from genshin to try wuwa out even if you're positive genshin is the game for you is the dip in players will be noticeable enough to keep giving new QOL changes to the game! I promise you it didn't take 4 years for them to figure out how to code in selectable main stat artifacts or a stamina upgrade.
Try to explain how a 4 month old game able to make these QOLs fast to someone who got stockholm from GI, they won't understand. Try to ask them why does it has to be a specific character who can do this and that when they could actually implement that on all the other chars, they'd just deny and cope that it's what makes the char UNIQUE or SPECIAL. (Bitch please UNIQUE and SPECIAL locked behind FOMO and wallet) I'm more inclined that they most likely made an automated update for GI and set them up on scheduled time so that they won't need to check on it unless they got grabbed by the balls by another game that they got forced to make changes so fast
Its not like Genshin has an award winning story, it was also meh, but kuro has improved upon the story just like they did with game itself with all the QoL changes, Genshin could never
@@dislikebutton8979 well they drop kiana so I am not surprised to see that since kiana is hoyos main from fly me to the moonl, ggz and lastly hi3rd so the 2nd part has less appeal but who knows they might be cooking something to make it better.
i just wish people wouldn't fight so much over it. I play both, i like both games and they both have pros and cons. Of course people will like differnet things so the constant fighting on twitter and tt is just soo annoying like... just play what you like more, it's a game nothing more.
The biggest issue is that the entire wuwa community is the genshin quitter community, or atleast 99% of the haters group from genshin. So we have this wuwa community which is constantly bitching about genshin 24/7, and we have the genshin community, who are, in all honesty, just enjoying their own game. There isn't a single wuwa video on yt that doesn't have genshin hate. And there are like 2% genshin videos on yt where you'll see someone mention wuwa. Numbers speak for themselves. I like both games, but I dislike wuwa community and hence I can't really enjoy the game. Just look at the content section of this video, 99% of the comments are against genshin, and made by players who quit genshin. And for the record I can easily attest 9 out of 10 of these players quit genshin in the 1st few months as well. Yeah there will be an occasional 4th year quitter, but are you suggesting wuwa doesn't and won't have quitters? Anyways, the point being that the community is honestly trash in wuwa and takes away from the enjoyment of the game. It's impossible to call a game good when the community it has is constantly raving how superior it is over other games in endless comparisons and using their personal bias/preferences as factual arguments., on the other hand discarding opinions with "sunk cost fallacy" for the other party.
I've always said this (not just for wuwa) but which ever company actually managed to make the first direct competior to genshin, all they have to do is just copy the genshin template and add all of the QoL players have been asking for years. Do that and you've already done something unique and different enough where not only will you attract ex/current genshin players but attract new players who haven't played genshin, either basically just making genshin+. In Wuwas case it worked wonders and now with 1.4 we are seeing more and more how they are making a name for themselves instead of just being called the "genshin clone" and we can't forget how it took all way till inazuma for genshin to stop being called a BOTW clone either. Now for the new up coming open world gacha games they are gonna have to try harder then wuwa, cause being genshin+ isn't a selling point anymore. Those newer gacha games are gonna have to rely on gameplay/aesthetic to carry them harder. But if the rumors are true then Azur Promilia and NTE could have a spot in the market, Azur Promilia should be a waaaay more waifu focused casual open world experience meanwhile NTE from what I've heard is a "Management sim" once you go through the initial tutorials and story in the city which sounds cool.
I been playing Genshin on and off since 2021. The reason why it stays pretty much the same is because the community does not give 2 shits about improvements to the game. It’s a super casual gatcha game where they (the consumer) are proud of getting ripped off every month so they can see their game at the top of fake revenue charts because that’s what makes a game good. If people actually stop playing and paying then Genshin would be forced to actually try and improve the game more quickly. Instead we get half ass QOL changes disguised behind a paywall.
A decent number of players give feedback, but it feels like a dev issue if most of it ends up ignored. A feedback system isn’t helpful if responses are just trashed. Lots of players stick around because they’re invested, not necessarily because they believe the game will reach its potential. For me, with Genshin, I finished Sumeru and then took a 9-month break. I came back for the Fontaine Archon quests, but now it’s the same story. I don’t feel motivated to play daily, so after Fontaine, I mostly just log in for the Abyss here and there.
@@xehanort04 İf you are playing gacha games for the story, then you are wrong here in the first place. Go play proper story games like RDR2, Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor, Tomb Raider, Far Cry, Spiderman, Evil West, Guardians of the Galaxy etc.
@@rus.c.gabriel Because Story games should be played for the Story and Games with Stories but don't prioritize on the story are meant to be played for the other features (not only the story). People who complain about a game that is not prioritizing on the story, just because of the story are in the wrong place (gacha games overall).
I agree everything you said up until the point where you talked about the story The story in Wawa is extremely good especially the shorekeeper story and the world design and world lore is far better than genshin in my opinion. Also The resonator character designs are better than ZZz and genshin. Also Wawa has the characters with the least amount of clothes and shows the most skinny instant win. when compared to ZZZ yeah the character designs are awesome but can we show a little bit of skin it feels like I'm playing a Catholic school version of a gacha. Other than that I agree 💯
The Wuwa story and writing was legitimately terrible in 1.0, but I think too many people just wrote it off after that. The 1.3 patch especially was fantastic. They've come a long way with it.
I play both and like them nearly as much, but im sick and tired of hearing that the echo system is better, surface level may be, but when u get to try and get a good piece it just becomes a nuisance. In genshin i get to choose not to even touch an artifact if it doesnt meet a certain criteria(you can make the game auto lock those even) and use it as exp or even get more pieces. On the opposite side is wuwa, u only see a mainstat and HAVE to invest exp and the mats to see the stats and all of that to see stats u dont need. Ive been farming a havoc set for camellya for about a month now and 90% of that time went into havoc dmg pieces of which ive yet to get a single one with more than 3 stats i want, in contrast it took me the same time to get a top 500(furina c6 marechusse build) sands and goblet on set for my furina. Also, Im farming dreamless and crownless from launch and didnt get a more than 3 stats that i want aswell. Its just a pain to farm even if it isnt limited by stamina. Anyways rest of the game is aight it just kinda feels like a concord to overwatch, a upgrade in the grand scheme but lacking some of the things that made ow(in 2016) likeable. Of course wuwa is way closer to genshin and is in no way such a failure.
let me ask you this, how long do it take you to build 1 decent stats character in genshin? for me it take 4 months just to build my raiden and is not even good. and in wuwa i have 3 team fully build with double cv echos
I think the echo system is better because once you roll a good substat, that's it, no need to roll upgrades on it multiple times, grinding echoes in the open world is also way more fun for me then repeating the same instanced area with the same enemies over and over and it ties together with the exploration seamlessly. Also 100% guaranteed 5* echoes :)
The early echo system is life draining for me that I had to check it each time if I got the stats that I want from the bag, thanks to Kuro with their passionate love of the game and hearing us they improve it by making us see the stats each time we absorb them which is nice so I know what echos to lock and echos to synthesize. For substats RNG is RNG.
Same tbh. I dislike the echo system and the glazing that "it's better". The sheer amount of resources you need to get a usable set is kind of insane, and you can still end up with nothing, plus you lose all your exp items and then you can't do anything. The devs didn't bother addressing the biggest issue which was echo exp since launch, which is one of the reasons I dislike the "they listen" glazing. Anyways take my camellya for example, had about 50 havoc bonus pieces, and none literally rolled into double Crits. Which is acceptable, I mean it's rng. But the biggest issue ofcourse is that it eats up exp. And I totally ran out of it, again, after doing it 4-5 times before for previous 5 stars. And this doesn't even include the 5 piece requirement that both HSR, wuwa impose on the builds, meanwhile genshin and to some extent zzz, offer offset pieces to balance out the build with bad rng. I'll honestly say wuwa is great the day when they improve the Crit mainstat/substat rng over genshin, HSR, or zzz. Because that's the endgame in all of these gachas. And having played all of them since launch, I can say nothing really changes between them. They are all garbage when it comes to artifacts. And wuwa makes it worse by adding an additional step of farming the overworld, which for the lack of better word, is tedious anyway.
Yeah, you nailed it. Wuwa gave that spark I craved back when genshin launched, but wuwa stretched it further and further and further, and with 1.4 near... further and beyond!
I honestly think that the reason why other people still plays genshin that much is because they're interested on what's gonna happened between the Twins, like the story, i have this friend on Genshin Impact that's always active daily, I told her that out of all the friends i made in genshin, wayback 1.0, you're the only one left active, she then told me that, she did felt the burnout, but the reason she isn't stopping, because she wanna know how the ending of Lumine and Aether story in Teyvat, Because i think even if Aether and Lumine's story ended, i think they're just gonna do what Honkai Impact did, make a new story with a new mc, and put part 2 on the app icon.
I don't think their story will end just like that. Hi3 trio story didn't really end because we got Odyssey we know they are old now in that timeline I do think their story is still progressing.
The very strong appeal of this game is the devs respects your time due to that they listen to feedback and make QoLs that helps you finish a task faster making daily logins not a hassle.
Personally still like genshin more. Mostly because of the story and characters. Genshin story pulled me in instantly i was waiting for whats going to happen next but in wuwa it kinda just sucked ass. I just started skipping story so i can unlock the new areas. Also i enjoy genshin combat and artifacts more. Wuwa wins in QoL, boss fights, endgame content and rewards. Both great, would recommend both for different reasons.
Same mostly. The 1 big reason for genshin is still the main story execution. The characters feel more authentic and cohesive into the storyline. Also for emotional connection, for the lack of a better word. Wuwa is... Fine. I don't hate it, but the isekai amnesiac harem protagonist chick magnet just isn't the kind of thing I expect from a story oriented gacha game. Combat sure, but combat alone isn't enough to carry the game for me. HSR, zzz, and genshin are still a step ahead when it comes to story, even zzz which totally changed the formula, still has an excellent story execution and immersion. At the end of the day wuwa just feels like a hack n slash, which is fun, but not as interesting as hoyogames imo. What's the word for that.. ah yes, lively. All 3 hoyogames feel like they have that life in them, where wuwa just feels.. flat and lifeless.
in my opinion, wuwa was fun when i start playing, it excels in QoL and exploration mobility but i don't see the value in everything else. the game didn't hook me to play for a long term.
Gameplay is fast, which is why it feels like it has no content. İf the gameplay was as slow as from genshins, it would have taken really long time doing everything.
And that is why you can play the game for a while and drop it, just to pick it back up when you get new content or characters, that was the whole point of the video to not get stuck playing one game and try something new.
True tbh I played a lot of games at the same time and I dropped a lot of games already but HSR and WuWa still stuck in my to do list but I need skip button quest in HSR is just too slow I'm a person that want to read the story when I want to only but at the same time I'm addicted to divergence universe and daily quest are easier in HSR too but at the same time if WuWa bringing back illusive realm I would log in every to play it cuz I'm addicted to rogue like game mode it's fun and also both both HSR and WuWa characters have interesting skill idk if it just me but genshin are kinda bland and the graphic is definitely not for me the design and everything is good tho but it just not my cup of tea I prefer something like HSR and WuWa and also I played PGR and HI3 before those 2 are fun but It's not the type that'll makes me stay I'm too lazy for both of them
I watched the gameplay showcase for Wuthering Waves and that day I stopped playing Genshin Impact. I only Log into Genshin for the main story updates now. I log into Wuthering Waves for fun.
I agree with you, Wuwa has the spark, the devs have the liberty and creativity. We just dont know what the next one will do, the same goes for the animations, world, combat... It's just a good game
WuWa is not GI clone, it is rather very loose copy. They cut many corners and made some improvements, but the main reason I can't play it is because they replaced the whole combat system with generic slasher-type combat. They removed elemental interactions and aimed shots and instead added all the features which became popular in 2024 - quick assist, dodge counters, swap cancel and so on. I don't usually play Asian games exactly because of this kind of combat system, and I'm very disappointed to find WuWa end up among them.
Im so glad that terrible elemental reaction system isn't in WuWa, there's a reason all the good games like, botw, dark souls, elden ring, monster hunter, nier automata, devil may cry, all use dodges and parries as staples in their combat systems....in genshin there's zero purpose for enemies to have move sets because at the end of the day, they're all just damage sponges for you to spam elemental reactions on endlessly....WuWa essentially being genshin but throwing out the trash elemental reaction combat system for the more tried and true combat of most modern ARPGs is probably the best decision they could've made 👍
@@gameplayer-_-227 Yeah, that's exactly why I don't play any of the mentioned titles. Genshin is an anomaly between them, and this took it to another level. Too bad, I was really hoping somebody would take the same idea and make it better. But Kuro decided to play safe and make yet another Asian slasher.
Some people will not like the story since they change it compared to the cbt. Compared to cbt our MC is very suspicious in the beginning, Chixia is cautious towards us, not very friendly and suspicious to us she even point a gun towards Rover I also remember yanyang dying very early when we face Crownless the cutscenes of Crownless was very badass even Rover is struggling compared to the present rover in wuwa.
yes wuwa "copied" genshin and added things peoples wanted in genshin same for genshin the first map and first monsters was inpsired by zelda anyway both games are good and who compares are just kids
I only play WUWA cause it just released this year, not a lot FOMO, wouldnt mind to try Genshin, but since it been released for a couple of years kinda discourage me to try it
Genshin now for me feels like an assignment and now everyone talks more about revenue then the actual game and the fandom is getting annoyingly loud... I miss the old genshin and hoyoverse Now I've move on to a familiar yet underated gacha devs name kurogames known for their underrated and hardest gacha games ever Punishing Grey Raven, and now im here for Wuthering Waves I am playing wuthering waves on mobile (Tecno Camon 20 pro 5G) and its more optimized now then its release, i can play with good graphics on medium but not in 60fps, i hope kuro can optimize a little bit more for mobile and tablets too.
Isn't it a similar case with Dota and League? One game doesn't have everything people want, so another game comes out with a similar concept, but with the features the players asked for (tell me if I'm wrong about that). Genshin shills can be Genshin shills all they like, it doesn't change the fact that combat and exploration in Wuthering Waves is leagues better than Genshin's. Fact that Hoyo had a game before Genshin that has great combat mechanics and didn't implement it into Genshin is absurd to me. Genshin being a casual kids game, I can understand that now. Wuthering Waves is just the 16+ version that people have been asking for, and we can finally stop complaining about a kids game that doesn't care about their own community.
I didn't play WuWa because I found the character designs to be a mixed bag at best. What's the point of playing when there isn't a character design you remotely like
i like genshins world design better, wuwas more dark and apocalyptic theme didnt quite stick to me first but even if i like genshins world better, its not worth it to stick to it when all those unskippable quests feel like a complete waste of time. i gotta say i am addicted to genshin because i cant bring myself to quit since i have invested so much time in it and just want it to be better but hoyo doesnt give a shit. wuwas skip button was the best thing i have experienced and just because of that the game didnt feel forced for me to play it. i came here for camelliya and the new upcoming characters are looking dope, especially carlotta. i am hyped!!
pfftt, I'm a beta tester of tower of fantasy, but seriously the difference is so far, don't tell me because it uses the same engine, UE4, then wuwa = tower of fantasy clone, it doesn't make sense.
@ I thought Wuwa was unreal 5. No I said that because the game is kinda heading towards the same route. It lost majority of its player since launch and the new character lumi looks like she is from ToF.
btw ue4, not ue5, and lumi? you mean like shiro tower of fantasy? very different, shiro is a cat, lumi is a hamster, I think it's rare to adapt hamster animals, generally cats, dogs, wolves, for the gameplay is not similar at all, Lumi utilizes the fast running mechanic while attacking with her little pet hamster. This is shiro's profile from the TOF wiki “Her demeanor and appearance strongly resembles that of a cat. She is currently in the Mooke Squad led by Icarus in Innars.” Most people think they look alike because of the tail, which is weird, both characters take animal references from the real world, where cats and hamsters have tails.
and you act like Genshin is the most original and worth praising game in the world. As if there hasnt been any other anime open world game that Genshin also blatantly copy from. Beside, the game is free. "copy" is just a buzzword you throw out without even coming up with any constructive criticism
So you saying, Apple/Samsung are automatically worse than Nokia, just because they are "copy"? Nokia didn't catch up with the trends like e.g. touchscreen, which is why they are objectively worse than Apple/Samsung which ACTUALLY progressed. İt is not about who has the idea. İt is about who does it BETTER.
The problem is that Wuwa came way too late. Hoyo pulled it off before Kuro. Look, Wuwa is to Genshin what another Bitcoin-derived chain is to Bitcoin. In other words, most players do not give a sh it. It is just those f2p s u ckers who want everything for free and believe that this Genshin-esque game with different, yet overrated combat is the equivalent to Jesus while fooling themselves into thinking that this game is more generous. All gacha games are predatory and PGR is one of the fairest ones cuz the memory system is less of a RNG clusterf uck and character banners are guaranteed. Tbh, premium characters are always the priority. So before Tencentbots start calling me a Hoyobot, keep in mind that I used to play PGR and appreciated every patch. I spent 500€ on it but I don't regret it.
You are wrong. Apple/Samsung are BETTER than Nokia even though it is the OG. Nokia didn't catch up with the trends like e.g. touchscreen, which is why they are objectively worse than Apple/Samsung which ACTUALLY progressed. İt is not about who has the idea. İt is about who does it BETTER.
Overrated combat is an opinion. The difference WuWa has to Genshin is content for those who actually enjoy the combat, farmable echoes in the open world gives a reason to re-explore the open world rather than exploration being a one time thing. Holograms exist for a challenge if you are feeling like locking in, or if you want unga bunga turn brain off fun you can play Depths of Illusive realm (confirmed to be permenant from 1.4 onwards) and even depths can become challenging if you stack enough difficulty modifiers (or made easier if you would like that). Gacha players have an issue where they refuse to do shit for no rewards, wuwa gives players who actually enjoy *playing the videogame* to do so.
@smoke2729 Holograms are a one-time clearance. In Monster Hunter we keep challenging different subspecies because we need mats to craft gear. In Wuwa, holograms do not serve such purpose. You clear them once and it is d o n e. An open-world game with lore based on music and sadness should not only focus on ToA and some punching bag events.
@@JUICYbluepanda2 Before iOS/ Android were even a thing, there was Symbian OS with cool games and applications. Eventually Symbian became irrelevant but it was great while it lasted. And it is also very debatable at what Wuwa is better. Don't think that graphics fidelity means everything. Moreoften than not games which lack originality always stay mid regardless of how good the graphics are. To k i ll Genshin, your game needs to be 100x better cuz it is NOT competing with 1.0 but 5.1. There were tons of world quests full of beautiful locations and good plot. So far, Wuwa feels undercooked.
it's funny everyone forgot that Genshin used to be called a BOTW clone
I certanly did not forget that 🤣 it's ironic that people call WuWa a copy when Genshin was also caled a copy when it came out...
@@raviolibirb8009 Finally, someone who gets it! You dropped this, King 👑
WUWA is everything i expected in genshin when that game first release
Fast pace combat like DMC/Nier/Sekiro
Skip button
Challenging enemy
Parry system
Dodge slow time
QTE system
I don't even mind that the game is a blatant copy of genshin, the game is amazing and that's enough to me
Glad you are having fun and take care to not spend to much :))

BULLSHIT XD
GI wishes to be in the same place as Wuwa. Wuwa has all the things that people have wanted in GI in years and more and it still keeps on improving. They also have the one thing any consumer in any video games wants. A developer that respects them and listens to their feedback, positive or negative for the sake of improvement.
@khaalmalki4039 lol nah. Keep dreaming
It seems like some folks just don’t want to face the fact that the game they’ve sunk countless hours into isn’t all that great. also wuwa is soon bringing elemental reactions back
wuwa was developed in atleast 3 years as it had an tech test 2 years ago
@killuad0 no? The development started somewhere in March-April 2022 and technical test was in July and then 2 years later on March it was released. So it was only in development for 2 years bud
@killuad0 now u may say the development started way before then ur wrong, kuro literally posted staff recruitment application in feb-march for wuthering waves
@@rgt69 bruh you can search for it, there was rumors of them working in a "open world rpg game" since 2021 in global pgr release
@@rgt69 if yk development is not always public, ww development started in 2021 be it in code or in ideas only.
"The only similiarity between Genshin and Wuthering Waves is the fact that they are open world"
And the hud. The hud is also a bit too similiar. But at this point that would be nitpicking, so i get your point.
I'm on for UI change too. Cbt2 ui was great. It show our hand for menu opening @@Otherface
When people will realise that both of these games are in the same genre and Genshin was inspired by legends of zelda to the point that it seems plagiarism
Fun fact: Changli is always naked infront of everyone. Her clothes are made out of fire as she cant wear any normal clothing as her body ability will just burn it.
If that is true, you just made my day.
So what we saw is fire illusion?
BrO now I know I'm a creep thinking of that. LMAO
I can still remember clearly how i amazed with the giant spike mountain in Desorock Highland and spent like an hour to try climbing it. I got a bad encounter with that red Golem, and then free falling into Impermanence Heron nest. Man, that time was amazing

Its just me or.. a lot of people forget both this game have same genre? 🤨

@@yuberry3509THIS. I agree 😂😂😂 bahahah people really like that sometimes
Yes and that is why monopolies are bad, until they lost some of the playerbase they did not care about all the complains.
(Bitch please UNIQUE and SPECIAL locked behind FOMO and wallet)
I'm more inclined that they most likely made an automated update for GI and set them up on scheduled time so that they won't need to check on it unless they got grabbed by the balls by another game that they got forced to make changes so fast
Its not like Genshin has an award winning story, it was also meh, but kuro has improved upon the story just like they did with game itself with all the QoL changes, Genshin could never

5:50
The biggest reason is this.
The PERSONALITY!!!
but, I still play both game tho...
As long as I have fun, so, why not both.
2 days to go and illusive relam is returning Q.Q/
Those substat change are behind paid stuff?
story is definitely not the weak point. 1.0 definitely, But it has improved so much
it's still nowhere near how good genshin story is though

I dropped Genshin after Wuwa reliese heh
Same and i've been playing since released 😂 and no regret so far
You know you can also turn unused echo into both another echo or level up material. Just delete it in the bag.
let me ask you this, how long do it take you to build 1 decent stats character in genshin? for me it take 4 months just to build my raiden and is not even good. and in wuwa i have 3 team fully build with double cv echos
I would've already dropped Genshin for WuWa if Genshin wasn't the only game I could run at the moment 😂
Man having an old pc is rough... been there.
Amazing actually a W take 🤣🤣
Nope. Sunk-cost fallacy thats why.
I am glad you agree.
the story felt bad at first but its gotten better id say its the voicing or writting of characters thats hit or miss
@@JUICYbluepanda2 what hooks me in a game is not whether the gameplay is fast or slow either.

I agree with you, Wuwa has the spark, the devs have the liberty and creativity. We just dont know what the next one will do, the same goes for the animations, world, combat... It's just a good game
the only thing they share is being gacha games, everything else is different, although the gacha itself is still different
Yes what I am trying to say in the video is exactly that , and my intention is to make people play more games.
My dearly Zelda 3
It's fine
Genshin is a copy of breath of the wild then? Lmao
I still play Genshin but have been F2P in it for since the beginning of Fontaine. Best decision I ever made lol.
Transformers Energon, oh man that brought back memories from the early 2000's
So glad someone, beside myself remembers that cartoon 😊
@@cbwgaming I remember all the cartoons I used to watch when I was a kid, johnny quest is one or those cartoons, damn I feel old
Without even watching the vid I'll tell you right now they have similar mechanics and features but i wouldn't call it a clone.
How about watching the vid
@@cbwgaming I did after I commented I'd do anything for you mi'lord. 🙇
yes wuwa "copied" genshin and added things peoples wanted in genshin same for genshin the first map and first monsters was inpsired by zelda anyway both games are good and who compares are just kids
My point exactly you can like bouth and play bouth.
Competition in the industry is a good thing for us the players.
just pick one, Genshin copy or Transformers copy 😭😭😭
Genshin was kinda ruined when they nerf childe boss. Not that challenging anymore.
I going to wait for the next one since your just in the tip of it
WuWa is definitely the one game that pretty much copies another game that can say " oh no no no no... Im the upgrade!"
I only play WUWA cause it just released this year, not a lot FOMO, wouldnt mind to try Genshin, but since it been released for a couple of years kinda discourage me to try it
Open world game > Genshin.
What?
WuWa second game(First TOF) eliminate annoying thing in Genshin and adding stuff player asked.
2:56 does anyone know this song? Please help thanks 🙏
It is Wuthering Waves Crownless Theme
spitting facts and peak
Wuwa started development before genshin release
Genshin now for me feels like an assignment and now everyone talks more about revenue then the actual game and the fandom is getting annoyingly loud... I miss the old genshin and hoyoverse
Now I've move on to a familiar yet underated gacha devs name kurogames known for their underrated and hardest gacha games ever Punishing Grey Raven, and now im here for Wuthering Waves
I am playing wuthering waves on mobile (Tecno Camon 20 pro 5G) and its more optimized now then its release, i can play with good graphics on medium but not in 60fps, i hope kuro can optimize a little bit more for mobile and tablets too.
Genshin also felt for me like a chore a thing to do, so glad that i found wuwa by chance.
i wish gacha fandom didnt exist these comparisons is annoying already... just enjoy the game you like and done
Wuva is def better than Genshin in many aspects🎉
Nope, wuwa is way better, more rewards, easier dmg, YOU CAN RUN WITHOUT STAMINA. Their rewards are way better switch to wuwa
My dude that is the subject of the video
genshin is just a clone of botw
Wuwa’s better, cause I dropped it 5 days after getting on rather than 5 minutes.
These comments are so cope ngl Just play what you like.
I like skill based games. So I play Wuwa. Little kids play Genshin.
@@Kaizer5E skill based of building character, team, rotation and gambling I agree👍🏿
WuWa just a genshin copy but better
I didn't play WuWa because I found the character designs to be a mixed bag at best. What's the point of playing when there isn't a character design you remotely like
Story isnt even a weak atp. Mfs say its bad cause its not another self insert dog ahh
At the time I started making the video 5 months ago :) it was kinda meh but now it's gotten a lot better
Then don't play witheringly waves fam
i like genshins world design better, wuwas more dark and apocalyptic theme didnt quite stick to me first but even if i like genshins world better, its not worth it to stick to it when all those unskippable quests feel like a complete waste of time. i gotta say i am addicted to genshin because i cant bring myself to quit since i have invested so much time in it and just want it to be better but hoyo doesnt give a shit. wuwas skip button was the best thing i have experienced and just because of that the game didnt feel forced for me to play it. i came here for camelliya and the new upcoming characters are looking dope, especially carlotta. i am hyped!!
stories are blunt? haha i disagree, maybe you just love paimon yapping all the time. I'm pretty sure you don't understand the story.
That is the thing I hate Paimon, i dislike the main story but the caracter storyes are nice o said that in the video , I loved Changli's story.
Nah this a tower of fantasy clone
pfftt, I'm a beta tester of tower of fantasy, but seriously the difference is so far, don't tell me because it uses the same engine, UE4, then wuwa = tower of fantasy clone, it doesn't make sense.
She is currently in the Mooke Squad led by Icarus in Innars.”
Most people think they look alike because of the tail, which is weird, both characters take animal references from the real world, where cats and hamsters have tails.
@@zkretr0842 no she reminded me of mi-a 😂
@@jiim8046 mi-a???, wtf broo, She's just a loli, where's the similarity?
A better copy of something is still a copy.
One worth trying out!!
Its free to play, why not try it out
and you act like Genshin is the most original and worth praising game in the world. As if there hasnt been any other anime open world game that Genshin also blatantly copy from.
Beside, the game is free. "copy" is just a buzzword you throw out without even coming up with any constructive criticism
What a weird way of looking at it. “Yes new thing is better but old thing did it first”
So you saying, Apple/Samsung are automatically worse than Nokia, just because they are "copy"?
@@arthurgeier2545 Bro you uh, realise you can play the game because you enjoy it right? You don't need rewards for everything 😂
