New Sub..seam sealer is what you need to go over your welds. Stop miosture in later days. Its painable. Creative build. Usable item . Weld a bar across inside. Incase load slides and comes into back of cab..just a saftey thing. Good luck man. Have a good week.
Find a flat front window in a frame and cut one inch around and weld in with window attached. It will seal good. Like they do on a roof chop rear window . Cut around window roof chop weld back in.. Good luck. Crazy build. Guess you putting big wheels on it. Going to need a big engine. Lots of weight added..
@DenisEdwards-ls2de I managed to hack the rear of a Ranger cab I had just to use the panel with the sliding rear window. Took a lot of welding but I got it done. We're going with the trusty dusty 300 I-6 for the powerplant so we can keep it in the family, lol. I'll definitely look into the seam sealer as there's plenty of spots that'll need covering. Thanks for the advice, all useful stuff.
@@TheImprovisationCenter I was talking about for your front window instead of lexan.. find something at junk yard until you can find Mustang A pilars and front window and roof section and weld complete so it keeps its shape. Casey's Customs widened a Mustang and cut out frame and rewelded after he widened A pilars..but safety wise weld big bar in below rear window inside. stop a sliding load coming through back of cab. Good luck. Have a good week..
@DenisEdwards-ls2de oh ok I misunderstood lol. But yeah, that definitely is something I would have to look at. Almost like another fellow suggested finding a floor of similar dimensions from a car to hack out and use...
Awesome, glad to be an inspiration. I had thought of how a pinto or even a fox body hatchback could be converted the same way. A while back I saw a pinto wagon that was converted to a ute for sale and that thing was a very clean build.
Amazing work !
Hello from France 🇫🇷 !
Thank you! Hope all is well.
She is rough, but the foundation is being laid. Looking forward to the end result. Reminds me of a "mad Max" style ride.
Yep, best part of a build like this, all you can do is go up, car can't get much worse lol.
Subbed, Gotta see where this goes. Bought that same welder, impressed how well it works.
