I was wondering if maybe you could do an update video on this barrel or maybe even a new barrel of the same style I got a Bear Creek arsenal 16 inch 556 m4 profile 1 and 8 twist... Last year and it shoots fantastic it really surprised me for the money
I actually sold this rifle off after beating it up for a while. Loved it because I was never afraid to trash it. Had to make space in my safe though. I'll get around to making more videos over the next few months.
Last year I grabbed the stainless 223 Wylde 1:9 16" heavy barrel for veterans day. Seems to shoot pretty good but I am still working on my shooting skills. This year I grabbed the 14.5" 7.62x39 barrel. Just purchased their side/rear charging upper to try with the 7.62x39. I also have another heavy fluted 223 wylde 1:9 that I haven't built yet and a 450 Bushmaster upper that I just built using a BCA that I need to zero in.
This is reassuring. I ordered a $29 BCA 16" 5.56 1/8 socom contour barrel the other day for a budget build. I'm not expecting match grade results. Just a plinking rifle
You should be fine. You'll probably get about 2.5-3 MOA with most plinking loads, in my experience. Saw those barrels at PA. It's unbelievable how inexpensive reasonably decent barrels have become lately.
Thank you for the review

That will be my next project- .450 BM.
probably going to take a while though. Post some pics or a video of your build when you sight it in!

I got the exact same barrel.
@@fwoodbridge mine came in the mail today. Looks good.
@@claytonlewis8799 Same. I'm hoping to get it set up soon.
@@fwoodbridge it will probably be a while for me. I just finished a build and I have a lot going on right now. The price was right
nice for a very inexpensive build
When did you order it? I was gonna grab one of the free barrels but decided to order a complete rifle still waiting.
The barrel? The day before Veteran's day. Received it about a week later.
Was the upper lapped?
I THINK so. Hah. That was late last year. I'm pretty certain I started lapping all my receivers last summer.
I had no idea bear creek did that. That's awesome to hear. I'm not in the military but that's cool.
