Making wax moth traps

- Here is a DIY wax moth trap and recipe.
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup vinegar
1 sliced banana peel
heat sugar,water and vinegar solution till the sugar is dissolved , let cool, pour into your trap container and place banana peel on top.
My wax moth traps look surprisingly like a ten frame deep box with no bees in them. I only re bait mine once a year. ;)
Do you put whole bananas in them

OkieRob, if you would operate the hand drill turning clockwise, it will be easier to drill holes. But respect, it goes the left way as well ;-)
Turning backwards doesn't grab and rip the plastic. Makes a smoother hole.

+Jerome Bee Farm & Homestead you may want to get one of those old irons for your wife instead of a greenhouse. LOL
Those Coleman gasoline appliances would have been made in 1940, after that all their production would have been going toward the war effort. The odds someone could afford those pretty things before 1940 before the war heated up the economy would have been slim.
There are a lot of Coleman lanterns and stoves out there made pre 1940. Somebody was buying them for Coleman to stay in business. Nobody in my family would have been able to afford one.

Dude those traps are worthless! I have three of them full of ants but the wax moth is in the hive!
I've caught lots of moths. Keep yours out of reach from ants dude
@@OkieRob Thank you for the advice but the ants are not great concer/problem to me I am more afraid from the wax moth
@@hristonancovski4060 moths in a hive is usually a result of weak hive or too much space to defend.
