    I appreciate wax above honey so after the EXTRUDER process meaning not extracting the classic sling honey process all goes in the solar wax melter. the 7/1 ratio for the bee too make wax/honey doesn’t really count in my Mediterranean region.

    I lost 4 hives multiple boxes per hive to moths had to freeze them and scrap all the comb as well the boxes are tore up also looks like a miniature golfer leaving duvets all over

    I scraped off all the wax then used my heated power washer to clean the frame, waxed up the frames again to use at a later time.

    My understanding (but I have no experience yet) is that once a wax moth infestation is too-far-gone, the bees won't clean-up and use the comb, despite killing the actual moths with freezing. Not sure if it's true or not. I have wondered if in feral colonies the moths eat the bottom of the comb as the bees move upwards in winter and then the bees would replace it.
