This one was hard. He told her that the Jedi were not good enough, but he made sure Ahsoka was. And he did it. She survived. She survived because he loved her enough to make sure she was safe.

I loved that Ahsoka trained for YEARS to fight off the 501st....and all because of Anakin.
Well not solely because of him. Though he had a pretty big part in it. Order 66 was supposed to happen with or without Anakin.
It's so great because it shows us 2 things. First we can clearly see it took lots and lots of training to be able to survive order 66. She earned it through years of tough love from Anakin. Second thing is we now understand why she was able to survive and others such as Ki-Adi-Mundi fell. They didn't train for it and she did.
It's a 2 way effort. Anakin cared to teach her beyondregular tests, and Ahsoka was determined to continue improving. As she said herself after first time jump ''I can do better''

I love how Anakin unintentionally saves Ashoka from order 66.

Was it unintentional? I think he specifically says that he wants to make sure she is safe under any circumstance. He taught everything she needed to know. After watching Ahsoka episode 5 that solidifies it even more!

Yeah the last four episodes, though. The rest of the season is very whatever, and sadly a LOT was cut. A lot of GREAT episodes.
Talk about how possessive Anakin was towards the people close to him, his possessiveness kept Ahsoka alive. He might not be the best teacher but he gave his all to Ahsoka and it shows.
Actually Anakin was a Great Teacher just a poor Student (although that's more Obi-Wan's fault then his own since he learned faster then Obi-Wan could or rather was willing to teach). Hell just look at Starkiller.
It’s great to know why she was actually able to hold her own against the clones during order 66.
I’m surprised you guys didn’t recognize the clone trooper, Jesse and of course, Jedi Master Tera Sinube (the old man with the cane). You saw him in the Obi-Won series when Obi infiltrated the Inquisitor headquarters. Master Sinube was one of the trophies in that hallway of bodies.

In the unedited reaction they mention about seeing them, later on while conversing about the ep. It just didnt make the shortened reaction.
The fact that Jessie's been around since the early days of the Clone Wars and was made an Arc Trooper shows just how good Anakin was as Jedi General. It's why nearly all of his Men had such unique Armor designs.
Ok - Jay has not seen CW Season 7?! I BEG you guys for a reaction to it, if not just the final four episodes, which are basically RoTS Part B. I need to see Jay's waterworks in response to the ending. It was abundantly clear with the difference in Adam and Jay's reaction to this episode that Jay didn't connect with it because of the lack of context. FIX IT!
Man when you wrote CW Season 7, my mind immediately went to the arrowverse and I started thinking, " why the hell would anyone wanna watch the arrowverse?" The i realized you meant clone wars and totally agreed. Lol
The emotional music, the order 66 scene, and the badass Maul scene are all great

I've just started Clone Wars, was very hesitant to, before, because it's so massive to watch. But I knew just before Tales of the Jedi that I really have to now. Then Rebels and Bad Batch. Wish me luck. I'm going bingeing.

If anything, you'll come out wanting more and being sad when limited series like this come out and it isn't enough, because it's all so good, and everything ties in so well!
That's what I did with my son... I took him through ALL of Star Wars in chronological order (thanks Disney+ for having that playlist already sorted). Every movie and show, live action and animated.
And after the fleshing out of some characters in the animated shows, some of his favourites were surprising. Maul being one!
But now, he's like the rest of us, can't wait to see what's next! Although he is only 8, so it'll be BB season 2, because Andor is maybe a bit too adult for him right now.
But, buckle up, you're in for a hell of a ride! 😃

Seeing the Phase 1 Clone Armour in the more up to date style compared to what it was like 12 years ago looks so good and clean.

To me it looks like Ahsoka ages between training with one lightsaber and then with two. It might be my imagination, but she looks older like this training has been going on for years and not just one day.
Yes, notice the switch from Phase 1 to Phase 2 armour plus the ending is season 7 of clone wars.

This was a tough episode to watch, tears coming. To see the close relationship between Asoka & Anakin was amazing.

I started crying the second I saw the Clone circle, knowing I had seen it before. Then when I saw the 5 minute routine and realized it was the same as (no spoilers) meaning Anakin (no spoilers). Got to say, I was disappointed there were no “epiphany tears” since you 2 are my favorite UA-cam criers (Adam, I know you were trying not to spoil)
The tie in to the final episode of rebels is amazing. Anakin prepared her for Order 66. Just awesome

Dave said in an interview that he KNOWS how they as in Ashoka & Luke meet but he said he has to have the right media platform to tell it weather it will be animation or Live Action and the time has to be right he does not want to just throw it in to just throw it in.
That's something I would definitely rather see animated, considering ashley eckstein is the actress who has so much history voicing her character interacting with Luke's father. I feel like she would be able to bring the emotion such a meeting would produce in a way that rosario couldn't.
I wont argue that one but as you and I both know WE have no control over that as WE are not invited to those meeting. :)

This show is what we needed. There should be a movie for Dooku to show his downfall but this was the next best thing. Oh lord I'm imagining a Yaddle puppet. Oh no... anyways this show and reaction is great!
It shows how close the connection between Ahsoka and Rex and the guys was.
In response to the direct threat to the franchise from worse writers, I propose that the Senate gives immediate emergency powers to Dave Filoni.

Oh man! This episode hit me so hard. The fact that Anakin was the reason she survived during orders 66 by putting her under that insane level of trainings, just to make sure she's the best, actually made me emotional. Now that last episode of Clone Wars means waaay much meaningful to me.
@7:03 Adam. You are right. Jay... poor Jay really doesn't know. Pretend and project as he might that he knows enough - nope. The context of what happens and the training of what this new short story represents is just magic. Amazing. So good. Maybe Jay can do a Clone Wars Season 7 last four episodes... Then he'd know. This was so good. Nice reaction Adam. Very cool.
Adam, I must ask. I think you said before that you saw all of Rebels, but did you see that final episode of S2 where Ahsoka fought Vader, and learned he was Anakin?

A good story teller tells it in a short time, gets the message across and audience still thinks about it. Magnificent.

Man I would love if you guys watched those final 4 clone war episodes from season 7 if Jay has not watched them. Just amazing. And this episode added so much more to that.
This entire episode can be summarized in one line from a very iconic smuggler:
“Good against remotes is one thing. Good against the living? That’s something else.”
It wasn't just Anakin's special training that enabled Ahsoka to survive, it was also the few seconds warning she had because Rex held out by reason of Five's information.
I couldn't help but picture her from S7E11 on the bridge just deflecting clone blaster bolts...just...damn.
So if you haven’t figured it out yet. Ahsoka outfit and the clone armor tells you where you are in the story. The first session was right after the movie The Cone Wars. THe second session was around season 2-3 phase two armor.

@pReview'd You guys missed how the time jumps. Anakin's hair got longer (Episode III) and then she wakes up and he's no longer there and it's just Ahsoka, Rex, and the rest of the clones (Order 66).
It showcases that Anakin's teaching style, while flawed, saved Asoka and how the entire way Jedi were taught undermined their survivability.
And that’s how Ahsoka got her second lightsaber!
Seeing and hearing Matt Lanter’s Anakin brought a smile. Always a good time. And OF COURSE Anakin has a special extra training regimen

I see no reason, given the events of Battle of Yavin, and Christiansen's resumption in Star Wars, that Anakin's Force Ghost and Tano couldn't be a thing. Imagine the ❤ 's.

The last four seasons of Clone Wars were some of the best Star Wars Animation and this is just giving so much more. Also the Jedi leading the training with the remotes was the one Obi-wan found in the bottom of the inquisitor base in that weird yellow/orange block.
Dave filoni is so good at it because he loves it more than anyone ever. He and John Favre need to run Lucas films.

I think maybe you guys should rewatch some of the clone wars. not as a reaction, but just on your own time. a lot of upcoming star wars content (as well as previous content) uses clone wars knowledge/events as bases and foundations for their stories. I just feel like it'd be a good refresher for you guys

ahsoka series Natasha Liu Bordizzo Showed up as a cast member at celebration And then Disney+ day it was announced Eman Esfandi Will be another cast member... If you're really wanting to see who they are playing just look them up, I will leave it up to you... Looking at the actors pretty much gives away who they're playing because it's spot on casting... there was also a short trailer for the Ahsoka series that confirms another few character, but it wasn't shown to the general public.. Let's just say , I'm extremely excited and I can't wait. There's also a chance they could show up in Mando season three.. Because the stories are all intertwining now like what the book of boba did ..
Would love a what if with Anakin training with the clones instead, and then Anakin surviving order 66 by fighting off the clones, just to see how well he’d do, i mean, of course he’d survive, but just to see some different moves against the clones with only one saber and no crazy acrobatics unlike Ahsoka.

This one was one of my favourites!! because we got to see Obi Wan, Anakin and Ahsoka and lOVE THEY put Kanan in there watching and it shows how Anakin had a different style of teaching and he wants to teach her to survive and I was NOT prepared to feel the feels with this one but WOW!!!
Am I one of the only ones who always thought Asoka was great, from the very beginning? I hear people saying she was annoying at first, but I don't see it. I mean she's not as much of a brat as Ezra was in season 1 of Rebels IMO.

Anakin was a dick of a Master to Ahsoka, he pushed her harder than any other Master did or at least harder than the vast majority, and he was right. She survived where even Council members died to their clones.

In another time and place Anakin probably WOULD'VE been the Battlemaster of the Jedi Order
The Emperor creates an Army for the Republic that can take out Jedi, but keeps the Jedi from suspecting the clones by having them fight the Separatist side-by-side. The Jedi, being forever blind, train to battle droids and never step up their game. Those Jedi (e.g. Anankin) realize the importance of being better, maybe for the sake of power/strength, are prepared and thus prepares Ahsoka, unknowingly, for Order 66. Only other Jedi that survive are those that are truly more powerful (e.g. Yoda), get lucky (e.g. Obi-Wan) or get help (e.g. Kanan).
Love him or hate him but you got to put respect on Palpatine (at least in terms of the lore... the movies kinda make him stupid).
