I was at an external conference for work. We got asked about our interests I shyly said I like cooking korean food, someone from the other company asked '''Do you know Aaron and Clare?'' I said ''SHUT UP! NO WAY!!'' people laughed, but joke is on them because I have a new friend now 🙌🙌😍😍
🤣🤣🤣 Thank you so much for enjoying our recipes. You’re the best!!! 😘👍👍
That's an awesome story.🤣
Food brings people together 🥰
Love that!❤
I got the cookbook for Christmas. I have made 4 recipes out of it. I have made them so many times that I don’t need to refer to the book for those 4. Time to make new dishes.
I'm no cook, but these videos make it easy for me to make varied dishes that I like, and you've changed my diet for the better. Thanks!
Due to the difficulty of getting decent short ribs in the UK, I have been making something similar based on Aaron’s original recipe. So I was really happy to see this and it will help make my adapted dish much better!
If you have a pressure cooker/instant pot, I’ve found that cooking the beef for 20 mins, then add your veg in for a further 10 mins, on a high pressure cooker setting, gives you really tender, falling apart beef! Thanks Aaron&Claire, love your recipes so much ❤
Yes..also daikon hard to get..so I’ve used turnip instead..I have to be rather low carb ( health reasons) so probably make cauliflower mash instead..and braising steak for the beef..swede for the carrot..
Oh my God Aaron!! you won't believe it. For last2 days I was looking for a good galbijim recipe on youtube. This Friday lunch, me and my work friend exchanged our lunches. She said she will make galbijim and that was my first time listening the name of this dish. That's why I was looking for it and couldn't find it in your channel. And you just uploaded this recipe yesterday!! like what a coincident!!
OMG! This looks great. Pls also do the long recipes. Some of us don't mind the hard work for great food 😊
This looks like next Thursday’s dinner!
Get his book people!
Thanks guys and Godspeed.
Thank you so much for saying that!! and Please let us know how it was!! 😍
I bought your book a few weeks ago and it's my favorite. Long time fan. You're the best! 🎉
Thank you so much 😍
Don't worry about it. I love that Claire has an aptitude for taste and can explain why. yummmm , mmmmm, so good.
Looks amazing 🤩 I’m sure I’m gonna have to make this soon!
We bought your book around a month ago, we have cooked one of your recipes for dinner every day since, enjoyed every single recipe. Thank you Aaron and Claire. Xx
Thanks for the delicious recipes! Belated Happy Lunar New Year to you, Claire and your family
This looks INCREDIBLE! Thank you chef! I am going to try this ASAP
I made it today. And I can’t believe how tasty it is. I am so happy. It just perfect when we follow his cooking. Thanks a lot.Much appreciated. Now I have to find your cookbook.
I made it and it is so delicious.
OH THAT LOOK SO GOOD😮. I need that right now. Going grocery shopping later this week and that is definitely on the list for Sunday dinner.😋
OMG I want this!😍 Buying your book was the best thing I did! Together with my girlfriend we cooked almost everything so far. Yesterday we had fry frozen dumplings with sweet and spicy sauce and some tokkboki, was delicius! Sending much love and gratitiude from Poland! ❤
Oh man now I'm really hungry and it's midnight. This looks really delicious, I have to try it. Thanks Aaron and Claire.
I love your cooking 👍 love from Pakistan 🇵🇰
That looked amazing!!😋
Btw Aaron, I had Tteokbokki for the first time the other night, and I loved it. I'm addicted now it's so good. Tell Claire I had a beer with it, too.😂🍺
I made this tonight. I didnt find the korean raddish but i used a turnip root. It turned out great!
I love the cookbook, tried some recipes, they are great 🥰. Your onion and carrot are such a big size, ours here are much smaller. Lovely, how Claire gets excited about the dish every time. I would love to see her dressed nicely as she said 🙂
That looks so delicious! I will add this to my "want to make" recipe list! I love both daikon radishes and carrots cooked for a long time in flavorful liquids. My go-to soup when I do not feel well is my own version of a mish-mash Hot and Sour soup. I ALWAYS include a lot of daikon and carrot as well as onions and peppers, I use gochujang instead of dried chili flakes, I add miso and chicken stock paste (I've gotten the suggestion to add some dashi next time as well), and it is a glorious fusion of flavors. But those daikon are really my absolute favorite thing in there. They cook for all 4-8 hours, they become super tender, a little sweet, but they've absorbed so much of the broth and the flavors of the soup, that they are just next level. When I started adding them to the soup, I was adding maybe an inch or two of daikon radish, cut into pieces. Now I usually add half of a large daikon.
Thanks, Aaron. Congrats on 1 million subscribers 🎉 juk a ham ne da!
Thanks my friend! 👍
Oh my gosh, that looks so delicious ❤
Thank you!!!! I hope you can give this a try sometime! ❤️
Definitely a special occasion dinner recipe! ❤
Tell me about it!!!! 😍😍😍
Beef with mashed potatoes is automatically good... and then with a Korean twist? OMG! I gotta do this.
Good choice, Joe. I’m sure you won’t regret it! 😁🙌
Waving 👋 HI to Claire!!!!
Thanks for watching! 🥰🫶
Show of hands, who thought Aaron was plating the beef up on rice until he said it was mashed potatoes, totally didn't expect that but it was a nice surprise
This will be next on my to-cook list. So innovative! Thanks for sharing the recipe! @FrenchGuyCooking and @mrnigelng need to see this!
Aaron! Help!!
I have some pureed asian pear in my freezer left over from another recipe.
Can I just use that instead of the apple? Put it in with onions?
Thanks!
Love your book! ❤ I may try the longer version too but this looks delicious.😃
Short ribs are so expensive now in the US! They used to be much cheaper, but then people realized how delicious they are and the price went bonkers. I still make red wine short ribs now and then, but I more often make Julia Child’s beef bourguignon more often because it uses cheaper cuts.
This is definitely an interesting mashup of 2 very different dishes from 2 very different cuisines. There’s a lot to love in Aaron’s recipe, but I’ll skip the peppers. For me, they just don’t belong with the other flavors, but that’s just a personal preference thing. I think it’ll be a fun recipe to make on the weekend and to compare with the original dishes.
Hi Aaron, beautiful. Really good. If you make it in a restaurant then thin the potato a little more with milk and butter. Add a little Maggi or MSG powder, then pipe the potato onto the plate. You can choose your design. You can make a much better presentation. Hope that helps. Michelin Star on the way! Joking, your recipes are excellent. I watch your vids and have your book which is brilliant too!
I wasn’t sure if I would spend the effort at the start, but I think the mashed potatoes and Claire sold me 😂 will probably try making this soon
That like felt extra generous
😍😍😍
So even Claire & Hodu could make the star in the mushrooms 🍄 😂😂😂. This was very visually appealing dish, just gorgeous. Way to go Aaron.
Thanks, Bonnie! 😁🙌🙌
Super yummy
San Diego California
Looks great. I'd make it immediately if I had the ingredients.
This is so good! 😍 You should give this a try!!!
Galbi is Great!
Tell me about it! 🤣 You can’t go wrong with galbi! 😁
Is there a Korean Superman? Cause this might be his favorite dish.
The food looks great and yes, a video of the full version would be nice. QUESTION: How does Claire wash dishes with no water? It's only on for a quick moment and is off until rinsing. Drives me crazy, lol.
"You don't need this pear..." but they are DELICIOUS!!! Expensive, but delicious. In the U.S.A. H-Mart will sometimes have a sale on them.
Don't worry about it! You can use it too! 🤣
I don't know why, perhaps because I read Korean in the title but I read Beef Bulgoguinon LOL
Hello from Tokyo. I don’t like eating meat, especially beef but the dish looks really really delicious. I will give it a try with some lean pork, the outcome will probably be different but still I want to try your cooking method as I have never tried cooking meat like that.
Hi! Could you please break it down the velveting technique on a dedicated video?
“And bla blaaa blaaaa lishskzksksnjaaa”
LMAO that’s the best thing I ever heard.
I’m making this recipe this weekend.
Luv from Brooklyn New York ✨🫶🏼
Yay!!! Hope you guys enjoy it! 🔥🔥🙌
Wait wait wait Hodu, you slicing mushrooms?!? Good pupper! 🎉😂
Aaron, can we subsitute the beef with pork? If we can, what cuts of pork we should use? And do we use the same cooking time? Thanks!
May I suggest that you put the names of the ingredients especially the sauces in the comments section. That would help newbies like me.
There's a link for a written recipe in the description my friend! 😍

@@AaronandClaire Thank you.
I loved everything about this. It sounds so wrong but feels so right!😂🤣 I love your cookbook. My youngest daughter loves Korean food. I love to see Aaron rocking the cookbook like a baby.😂🥰
Thanks for sharing. Love from Tennessee!🤗💕
애런햄, 이거 진또배기 한국레시피인가요 아니면 외국인들 입맛에 맞게 변형한 레시피인가요?
Instead of the Mashed potatoes I would have added fingerlings to the pot for a beef stew kinda vibe
Comme en France en somme ;D
Thanks for watching! 😍
Needs a side of kimchi. Looks delicious!!
You’re soooooo right!!! 😁👍
I don't want buy book...post here 😮
When collaboration with friendlyneighbor?
If something happens, im not responsible 😮
Galbi-jim is the shit
Is my own cooking bad dont worry about it go to your mom with the ingredients let her do your menu and thats it let a real Korean dish that Claire likes see pretty simple 😅😅😅
👍
That "Claire" soundbyte is just recycled each video, right? 😊
Made this yesterday, not too good, sauce was eyuck
Bourguignon non non non. Rien à voir avec 😅
what if someone in your family is allergic to apple
Don’t worry about it! 🤣 You can substitute with Korean pear (Asian pear), kiwi or pineapple!
I was a bit disappointed with this one. It came out far too sweet, even though I eliminated the sugar but kept the corn syrup, and the dominant flavour was soy.
