Good video man Michigan is tough every day. I feel ya on that heat. Good explanation of the front end mods to correct the issues that come with it. Like seeing content like this.
Great channel brother. I appreciate the information. I have saved a lot on labor by watching your easy to follow detailed instructions. Thanks again my friend.
BD Diesel makes a caster kit for the control arm that rotates the bottom of the axle forward and helps prevent death wobble. Might want to check it out. Build is lookin' good though.
Great video! I was wanting to know where you bought the new “Spring Upper Bracket” from and if it came with the mounting hardware as I am probably going to replace mine when I do I leveling kit.
Wonder what the fender flares would look like now with the leveling kit and wider wheels? They sure look funny with the stock setup 😂 ahhhh the fate of many trucks here in the dang rust belt
What made you decide to go with carli springs and not the bilstien level springs. I put them on my old 2006 f350 and it worked perfect. Came as a kit with four shocks. All bilstien. Just curious as I have this 2005 I’m working on and I’m gonna level it. Wasn’t sure if calri is better
Carli is top notch in the suspension world. Their technology and innovation they use is way beyond that of bilstien. I like the price point of the shocks that’s why I choose bilstien. But wanted to gain some experience with Carli using their springs which were priced similarly to that of the bilstien kit. Great question!
I’m sorry but this has nothing to do with this video. But I trust your opinion. My truck starts good but temps have been down to 10 degs at night and my FICM at start will drop to 45v doesn’t stay there long and will go up to 48 and bounce between 46.5 to 48 when warmed up . I’m guessing FICM is getting bad . What FICM do you recommend for stock truck.
GB Reman ficms come with a good warranty and have been reliable on every truck I’ve put them on. Also I will be uploading a video within the coming weeks where I replace the voltage side of the ficm to fix this very issue!
I am big fan of white trucks looking awesome brother hey when you get a chance could you tex me I lost all my numbers like to send you pics of my frame got the back of the frame sand blasted and painted
I think you may have your terminology mixed up. I will say that the factory shim in the upper ball joint is designed to set camber of the wheel end and can only go in one way(one flat on the shim). However, Carli’s caster shim will set camber AND caster by placing the off center hole towards the rear of the truck. Per Carli the leveling springs will decrease caster by 1 degree. The Carli caster shim will return caster to factory specs but then will increase caster by 1 degree for better tracking with larger tires. For a total correction of 2 degrees. I attached a link to the Carli caster shims below! www.dieselpowerproducts.com/p-carli-suspension-caster-correction-shim-kit-05-19-ford-f-250350-powerstroke?gclid=Cj0KCQiA88X_BRDUARIsACVMYD9nSm9JYK9V1TgfJVR8Ngcfjq8A3HLXtVKhcnR3-i8ty4p8LsdtbiYaAjuDEALw_wcB
@@LeftLaneDiesels Interesting. companies such as moog and ac delco make similar camber shims which we oftenly use in the jeep application when swapping over the front superduty axle into the wranglers. I guess they could make a difference in offsetting the camber by 1 degree if you can truly rotate them unlike the factory oem. I guess we never did that because we always have adjustable control arms in the jeeps lol
@@trxrider94 right exactly. So on my race truck which is lowered, I installed new camber shims to correct excessive negative camber.(the truck looked like a ricer car before the shims). But in this application the factory camber position is perfect at a leveled height on a solid axle. However the caster is off. So instead of moving the top of the wheel in or out, the Carli shims and moving the wheel forward or backward. Same idea, just correcting caster instead of camber, but only at the wheel end.

I bought a similar kit except mine came with bilstein brand spring and bilstein brand shocks also a very nice combo
Very knowledgeable, I appreciate the part numbers as well!! Keep up the good work from CT
Awesome bud.. Its looking good
Thank you!!! , Solved the problem I been having.
Hey bud I have 2006 f250 2wd what do you recommend as far as leveling kits for this

Thanks for the insight! I’ll look into it!
Should have gotten the Carli coil buckets and rear shock mounts

@leftlanediesels so how does it ride with the Carli springs now that you have some miles on them?
Can you put part list in description.Awsome video,as always

Love your content, can you provide a link to the break lights please?
Do you have a link for those headlights?
do you have the part number for the buckets? need to replace mine and would like to make sure I get the right part.
Do you think a 2 inch leveling kit will do that to the spring
Hey at least you can get your truck in the garage lol, I may have heat in mine but it barely fits with little room to work around it
Dude no doubt, having enough room to blow these trucks apart is a NEED! Lol
Can you provide a link to the Harley Davidson grill you purchased?
I second that. Please provide a link to the Harley Davidson grille. Thank you.

same thing happened to me, I just got a new spring and shock tower

I agree 🤘🤘

I-Movie
App off the apple store been using it since the start!
I use iMovie as well with my iPhone 8. Works great. My videos are stable.
Ditch that front swaybar. It will ride way better and you won’t get any body roll.
Woul ethos work on a 2wd models

Sorry to say, you put ur shocks up side down bud!
Incorrect, but debatable
Those shocks will only go on one way!
The shims you are using in the inner C are for camber, not caster! to correct the camber you will need adjustable radius arms! Great Video otherwise!

First, get new batteries, too long to start cold.
The batteries are fine, I started the truck too many times and shut it back off without letting it get a charge that’s all.
Doesn't help 03/04 guys
Swap to 05+ front axle, you will love the ride quality compared to 03/04 leaf spring trucks. Relatively straightforward too!
