- Big update and progress video on the 6.0 powerstroke shorty race truck. We adjust our valves since we are running the Jesel solid roller rocker set up. We seal things up with our G&R diesel billet valve covers. SoCal billet comes in as we install their wastegated T4 manifolds and up-pipes. Lastly, the engine gets installed!!!! Many more cool products and content to come!

Get those fuel lines in fragola ptfe with hytrel coating or stainless hardline. I ran regular braid hose on my truck and was always in the back of my mind. The hytrel hose in a crimped setup or bent and flared stainless is piece of mind when those uppipes are glowing like a rednose reindeer.

What injector/turbo setup do you plan on going with? Dual hpops?
Got a probably dumb question but can't seem to wrap my brain around it. " On the 6.0 high pressure oil rail how does the oil that's in there and the oil that is pressing on the injectors, how does that oil get circulated? I know it comes up through the stand pipe and the stand pipe is spring loaded to close to keep the oil from draining back down and the dummy plug blocks it off near the front of the oil rail, then the oil goes into the top of the injectors, but isn't that sealed pretty tight? So does the oil thats in there kind of stay in there for long periods of time due to this? And is this one reason why the injectors are known for stiction, because that oil just keeps heating up and stays pretty much in place but just gets surged with the oil from the standpipes to give the recommended psi it's calling for.?

DUDE!!! When you coil that front end, please template it and sell a package!!! I have a race truck that I’ve been building for about the same time that you’ve been doing this one. I didn’t use the DJM kit that you did because it was on back order at the time. I have a 5/7 drop on mine that I’m pretty happy with, but I would LOVE to have front and rear coilovers eventually. If you’re down for discussing, let me know and we can get in touch and work some stuff out!

Man, I’ve been eyeballing those valve covers for awhile now. Not sure if I can get that purchase cleared! Looks sharp though, someday I’ll be showing off my fully built “work truck dually”. It actually mimics a lot on your motor, icons, same rods, I got the Johnson lifters( what did you do with yours?). Sticking with VGT turbo, from Calibrated Stealth, cannot wait!!!! Been about 2 years in the making.
Nice sounds like an awesome build! I sold my Johnson’s and picked up the Jesel adjustable set up. This truck will be north of 1000rwhp, single non vgt. Years in the making lol I feel ya on that

Out of curiosity why only 2wd?
Its lighter and lighter is faster. Only hurdle I’ll have to jump is traction/suspension set up. All of your fastest diesels are 2wd.

Actually the race truck engine was the first one I’ve ever done a full rebuild on. I just took my time and used a print off for step by step assembly. Once the rotating assembly is together-everything else over done 100 times working at a local shop.

That's not an accurate way and a pain.that exhaust valve is close to coming off the base circle.the best way is to set lash on the intake when the exhaust valve starts opening and set the exhaust valve when the intake valve is around midway on the closing
