I work for AAA as a tow operator. I been using mine every day from jumpstarts to adding air to tires, for at least a year now. Some days I used it at least 12 times. So far its held up very well and still works like new. It's made my job a little bit easier not having to pull out a air hose or jumper cables then roll them back up again multiple times a day. there has not been a dead battery it couldn't start. I had used it on 1500s all the way to 5500s pick up trucks started every one of them. I will rate it 10 out of 10 I also have dewalts impact dcf899 Also a very great tool. 👍
This comes up as the #1 pick for jumper/compressor when I searched for "best ..." Last time I got a flat, a nice gentleman stopped to help me out. I was in the process of screw jacking up the car. The guy pulled out a 2 ton rolling jack...so much better. I have one now too...and when I put the spare on, of course, I had never checked it's psi and was almost flat. He pulls out a jump box with a compressor, filled the tire and still had juice left. Also nice knowing this can also start a v8 diesel, my tacoma will be no problem XD. There's "prepared" and then there's prepared ;) oooo...better check my spares psi!!!! *facepalm
Always nice when we help each other out on the side of the road, thanks for sharing that story! I try to remember to check my spare every year or so... Next time you'll be able to help someone else and pay it forward.
@@fordtechchris you bet bud! Looking forward to seeing you guys at Oshkosh next year if you guys make it out again. Otherwise we’ll be headed out west at some point I’m sure- happy to fly with ya
I have one of those same ones and now after 2 years of little use it started to sound beep beep all the time and it stays on in the AC position and does not turn off suddenly it falls off and comes back on and It turns on for more than 30 minutes and then turns off again, does the same thing and so on all the time
The real question is, will the unit's cooling fan ever shut off before starting on fire? Brand new out of the box, doesn't work correctly. It either constantly runs its cooling fan while dark or lights up the display until forever. All of the features are nice if they work. I wonder how many people have a power station unknowingly running in their trunk/tailgate right now.
🔴I recently purchased the same power station (dxaeps14). The first time I used the air compressor after connecting the valve to my tire and pressing the air button the display showed the current tire psi and it worked fine. The second time I used it 3 days later it no longer displays the current psi. After connecting the valve to the tire and pressing the air button, I can still select the desired psi and the compressor will start but the current psi will display 0.0 for the duration. Have you had this problem
I have the same same one, I lost the charger, I bought one separately, I mean the plug fits the connector, BUT, even if I leave it charging for long time for few hours, it ll only go to 2-3 bars and never fully charge, so you think the charger my be the problem.?
el botón de verificación alt es para probar la salida del alternador del vehículo. el paquete de salto debe estar conectado al vehículo con el motor en marcha. Lo siento, no mostré esta característica en el video.
Excellent video to inform me . I have a question. Do you think this can pass power to a Mercedes Benz Sprinter 3500 v6 diesel? I hope you can help me with that information, thank you very much.

I gave you a thumbs up but you get a 1 star for how dirty those terminals are. You need to clean those and the copper. Then put some gel on it. That may be why you’re not charging properly. 😢 On it to keep it from rusting.
Oh for sure! It was a customers truck and I had just gotten to it in this video. I'm big on cleaning corrosion and applying some kind of protective neutralizer for all of my customers! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I haven't checked that. My guess is no, only because of when connected to jump start it has to see a lot voltage before it connects the battery. The clamps are not directly connected to the battery.
That old school trick works with everything except lithium battery jump boxes like this one..I found out the hard way that was my go to way of charging a jump box lol
You might have to order it online. I think that's a symptom of the times we're in with all kinds of supply chain disruptions. The new one is train robbery outside of the Port of LA. Good luck🤞
Using it more, I've found it has to detect a low voltage before it kicks on. I wish it was just hot at all times. So sometimes I have to try a few times before it detected the need, then it beeps and jumps.
I just bought one yesterday and same as here it did not jump my car first try maybe it took few times of cranking the engine till it kicked in. I am going to return it and get JNC770R
I can confirm. My battery wasn't low enough. When the car wouldn't turn over, this jumper started working. We were all standing around angry for a minute, then it worked.
I have never read so many bad reviews about a product. Basically the consensus is it's overpriced junk and doesn't even come close to dewalt standards.

still holding up a year and 8 months later?
Finally a honest informative video I'll be sure to get the warranty
Awesome video thanks. I know my 6.0 powerstroke is a pain in the rear to crank in the winter. This should be a good choice.
Yes they are. Replacing the starter with a 6.4 starter helps with that also!
Has helped me a lot including today with a bad battery. Jumped our Escalade with no problem
This is much better than the CAT Jumpstarter which is too weak to start trucks.
Read the reviews, enough said.

Definitely exchange it for another unit, that's scary!
if it did this when new you should have returned it for a replacement under warranty

It is all automatic!
and how often do you need to charged them? would it be every time I used too
I just bought one of these to jump my mothers car..now do i have to hit any buttons before i use the jump start option?
Nope, that all happens automatically.

Can a 12v ac adapter be ok to charge this power station even though it say it takes 14.5v.And will a 16v ac adapter be ok to charge it ?
You have to use the adapter cord provided. I accidentally plugged in a different adapter for another piece of garage equipment and it didn't like it.
Can it work as a generator for like a vacuum for mobile detailing
I'm pretty sure that would be too much. You're gonna need a much bigger battery generator like a Jackery

can it only be charged in the vehicle connector?
Only with the wall outlet adapter as far as I know

Oh man that's a bummer. I have no idea how to go about that. Maybe call DeWalt customer service? Good luck!
Amazon has one.
Is it possible that charge by itself while connected to the battery?
I haven't checked that. My guess is no, only because of when connected to jump start it has to see a lot voltage before it connects the battery. The clamps are not directly connected to the battery.

No, it will not. Usually that takes two of any brand.

No cigarette plug sadly.
