You solved my problem and literally brought my coffee maker back to life. And we all know people are much more approachable after having their coffee! ALL TIPS SUCCESSFUL!!! THANK YOU!!!
This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.
*Thank You* for this step by step video... This worked 100% for me! I went from dead to hot coffee thanks to your video... *Note:* Keurig told me to toss it out as it can't be fix and to buy a new updated version from them... Thank God I watched your video before I did that!
I had a separate issue but being able to force the machine to pump all of the fluid through it (I used 100% distilled white vinegar) fixed my issue for me. Thanks a bunch man.
Just wanted to say Thank you 🙏🏻 for taking your invaluable time to go through each step of this process and share it with all of us! You are truly Appreciated! I now know how to do this process properly ☺️✊🤝
Bought this same machine on Kijiji. My problem is it kept saying "Prime". I followed 3 other videos like another reviewer saying to rinse it out for mold and mildew and use a turkey blaster to flush the intake hole and another saying lift the lid to release the vaccum. I even used a paper clip to clean the ports by the spike in the head. But none of these would make my new/used Keurig run so I could descale it. This worked great and allowed me to run the vinegar/hot water solution and then 2 reservoirs full of water to clear out the vinegar/solutions. I now have a machine that works great and I saved $70. Thank you!!!!!
Thanks i just bought one for a quarter at a thrift store and it was doin the exact same thing. Came across your video and it is now fixed and cleaned lol quarter and a video watched well worth it!
I can't thank you enough, i was ready to pitch it out of the window, then hit it with my car....It works, its clean, and it brews a full cup of deliciousness , again thanks
Experienced same issue with my Keurig. The issue turned out to be a broken wire lead under top housing, covering the pod holder. I think it is a lead to the "closed door relay". I soldered it together and voila, everything works again. Thanks to all who collaborate to find solutions for these issues:)
This video bailed me out of a Keurig purchase off Craigslist, bought as a working unit but got it home and ultimately, it was not. Did this method, the machine went from extremely faint trickle and not brewing even 1/4 of a proper cup size (basically, broken) to now, working perfectly. Thanks much!!
Thanks for your help. This worked. I just wanted to add that my B60 had the same sequence of button pushes but did not actually display the Descale option. Instead the clock display kept changing numbers. In case anyone finds that on theirs, follow the number of button pushes that he did, and you will get the Descale to start
This is amazing, thank you so much for sharing, I disassemble the Keurig and find no issue, knowing its the programming. This inside protocol set by Keurig is what we normal users need to know to simply make it work again. Suck it Keurig.
Hey Man, you are the best!! You just saved this machine from being smashed to pieces. I tried so many other fixes that did nothing. Thank you for posting this!! I’m off to enjoy a cup now😁
THANK YOU!!!!!!! I followed this and was not sure how long to let my machine chug and drip, but after 25 minutes of noise it started running through water. I let the tank empty then refilled it. It got 2/3rd way through that tank and was making noises for 30 minutes, so I just pulled the plug. Started the machine up and it worked. I threw away the first cup of coffee (just in case), second one tasted perfect. Thank you for saving me $100+ that I would have spent on a replacement.
Thanks for this video.. i used this procedure not for the descaling..but for draining internal tank so i can store it. This is alot better than disassembling the coffeemaker!! So..drained the internal tank.. emptyed the external.. and good to store!! Thanks again!!
We just purchased this model used. We had the same issues. Watched BOTH your videos, unfortunately not everyone is as fortunate as you in having a air compressor so we tried manually then we also did this process. Not sure if it was the combination or one indivudal task but your methods worked. Our system is now running thank you :)
Hey!!! Thank you so much!!!! I've been looking for these steps for more than a year now. Im gonna try it later. Again, thank you so much! Just saved your video for future reference. Stay safe!🤗 🤗
I thought my baby was ready for the junk heap. Then it became personal. I went through the steps a couple of times...nothing. Then, on the 3rd or 4th time it kicked in. I ran my vinegar water through and finished with a gallon of boiling water. Tedious but worth it. My baby works again. Lesson learned...descale more than every 3 years.
Thank you so much for this video! I watched every other video and tried almost everything and none of them worked until I tried this and now it's like new! Thank you again for this, I really appreciate it!
The procedure “almost” worked for me. My Keurig performed just as in video but water is not pumping. Pump is running but no flow. I already cleaned check valve in top of unit. Thanks.
Nothing was wrong with mine I purchased it used I wanted to clean it out good. I had watched this video early in the week and thought it would be easy..nope I had to turn mine off to finally get it to what's in the video and it finally did the emptying of the tank.but I had already ran.three hot water cycles with vinegar in it..now I know.
After the trick water is now flowing freely but still flashing not ready. I know u made this quite some time ago but i was wondering if it snapped out of it directly after all steps
After investigation it is apparent mine is clogged in the back of the line, whether it be calcium or coffee grounds. No one has a video on that. It was working OK before i screwed with it. Jeez.
That’s correct… I was pre-boiling the water. Thought process was using hotter water would be better to help break up any sediment/calcium buildup internally. It may or may not be totally necessary though. If you don’t have a kettle or stove nearby, I’d say just try all of the other steps.
I have the exact machine. I am getting a lot of visible dust/hair in the water reservoir. Is this a sign that I need to do this descaling? Please advise and thank you!
Hey Belle. I’d remove and clean out the external reservoir (one on the side) really well in the sink... maybe even use bleach and rinse well. Next, run the process from the video to clean out the internal reservoir. Once you’re all done, make sure to install a new filter that goes in the bottom of the external reservoir. If there are still signs of dust or hair that come out when you brew, you may need to consider trying to disassemble for a more thorough cleaning.
Wow. Not all of the internet is bullshit!!! The Keurig hadn't been used in two years and we were ready to toss it and buy another at Walmart. Tried this method...voila....hot and delicious!!!
mine still doesn't work! it turns on but keeps saying NOT READY Update: So at 2:56 timing my machine just keeps making noise but no water is coming out? Yes the tank thing is filled with water and it does light up but the buttons don't light up. confused....
I'm really puzzled by what I'm seeing as I go through your procedure. It seems to work fine... That is, when I turn it on, if the internal, heating tank is empty, it will fill that, but then the backlight goes out, leaving "NOT READY". (If the heating tank is full, then it just goes directly to "NOT READY".) Following your procedure seems to go OK. Once " descaling" starts, water starts flowing through and into a cup. When I stop it, the flow increases and the heating tank is empty, there's a hissing sound until I hit menu again, which stops the pump and then hitting it again, goes back to "NOT READY" but, unlike yours, it does not get to "READY TO BREW" but just stays at "NOT READY". One specific question is, when you do the "descaling", do you see water coming out of the "overflow" tube back into the reservoir? Although I have water going through the system into the mug, there is even more flow out of the overflow tube. If I block the overflow with my thumb, then the flow into the mic stops too. And then, when I press "menu" the hearing chamber is emptied with more flow, just as in your video. Do you know enough about this device to understand what's happening?
drdave611, I didn't have any water coming through the overflow tube with mine. It sounds like you could have a more serious block somewhere. If water is being taken in from the external reservoir and pushed through back out of the overflow tube, at least you know your pump is still working. Maybe take it apart and check out the internal reservoir. Phillips screwdriver and tiny hose clamps or zip ties was all I needed. Sorry I don't have a video for the disassembly, but just flip it over and start removing screws on the metal base. Everything comes out of the bottom. The base is grounded, so if you choose to disconnect the wires, don't forget to hook them back up. Before you go down that road, did you see the other video I posted? If you have access to an air compressor, that works best.
Yes, you do, during the descale mode. I just tried this on mine and was noticing that my vinegar was both trickling into the mug but mostly running back into the reservoir from the return tube (what he was calling the overflow tube). In the video, yours is doing it too during this cycle.
I was able to do everything the same as you until you had water come out, but the water doesnt come out! But if I tap menu again to the final step, it does come out for just a few seconds. Thoughts anyone??
Erica Dekker hey... sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Not sure if you ever figured it out, but I have another video on my channel about forcing water from the external reservoir into the internal tank. If you have access to an air compressor, that will work best. Maybe a combination of both methods will be enough to break up any gunk and get things flowing right.
Hi my machine is doing the same thing. I tried this method and everything worked as it should....buttons, screen, motor sounds but still no water came out. ehat could be the problem.
Calibeach10, check out my channel... I have one other video that may be helpful for you if your machine is really clogged up. It's best if you have access to an air compressor, but may be able to get it done without. I've been keeping mine alive for a long time using the two methods. I hope it works for you!
@@zackery773 no I was able to get into the sub menu even though I followed your instructions. Another video suggested that the over flow valve might be clogged so he suggested using an air compressor to blow it out. I didn't have an air compressor so I bent down latched onto it with my lips and blew as hard as I could. It worked, so I got my vinegar solution and descaled it. Didn't brew anything after that (it was night}. Next morning it said "not ready" again!!! Tried blowing into the valve again, but this time it did nothing. Still says not ready & I have not tried anything else. Should I give up? P.S. My Keurig was in storage for 8 months and it worked for 2 months before this happened.
Kathrine Janesh i think the other video you watched may have been mine as well? It sounds like you may have some more serious calcium buildup going on in there. It really depends on how much time/effort you want to put into fixing. The bottom panel can be removed to expose the internal reservoir, but it’s a bit more involved to actually disassemble. There are other videos you can follow to get it done. If you do get it working again, just make to follow the first part of this video to empty the internal reservoir before storing again.

Thanks it worked for me.😁
I just got my keurig used. Works fine. Should I descale it or wait till there's a problem?
I’d just do it now... if it was sitting for a while there could be some funk on the internal reservoir. We do ours every couple of months or so.
