You guys cut out the best part, that is "Do you ever get down on your knees and thank God you know me and have access to my dementia?" Hahahahhahahahah!
This was a huge episode when it aired. I remember the next day listening to the radio on the way back from school and Kramer’s name was announced during the news break. That’s how big a revelation it was.
In the week leading up to the episode, NBC aired promos showing that Kramer’s first name would be revealed, but they bleeped it out of the promos so you had to watch the episode. It was a big secret.
Sheree North, who played Kramer‘s mom, was a movie star in the 1960s hired by 20th century fox to replace Marilyn Monroe. She starred in many movies, and was a dancer and a blonde bombshell of the era. She was nominated for two Emmy awards and later in her career displayed a knack for comedy, especially as Lou Grant‘s girlfriend on the Mary Tyler Moore show.
it was an epic thing to find out kramer's full name back in the day if youd been watching the show for years & from the beginning...it was also just a thing that was out of left field but totally made sense, which is one of the characteristics that made sienfeld such a great show, haha.
Thank you, this is my fav Seinfeld episode xD It showed very well how we, as left side dominant people think, and plan ahead, and how life happens in contrast xD
I love this episode. It's a significant piece of Kramer information coupled with a kind of classic caper that all started because he is a comedian, and he will ALWAYS go for the laugh. It's the exact kind of situation I can see a comedian finding themselves in, so who knows, might have some level of truth to it.
To answer Anthony’s question at 12:18 this is the only episode where Kramers mom actually appears. Regarding his name he still mainly goes by Kramer but he will periodically be referred to by his full name from this episode on.
The funny thing is, I don't think that joke would work as well today because people are way bigger degens. A MFF menage is pretty tame by modern standards. To think we've reached a point where the 90s seems like an innocent time...
@@BrandonHeat243 The joke would work because it's not a matter of society changing or not, I think it's more of a matter of stamina and retention (that's why the joke wouldn't work with a FMM situation)
@@vidaenello Highly disagree. The joke was not about physical performance. This is made clear by Jerry talking about he doesn't want to become that kind of guy because then he'd have to buy a bunch of oils and wear a robe and all that. He was saying that people that do that stuff are creeps and he doesn't want to be a creep.
At first, Jerry thought Kramer's name was "Kessler" - from the very 1st episode and, then again, mentioned in the "Backwards Episode." This is because Kenny Kramer (the real life character on which Cosmo Kramer is based) didn't give his permission for them to use his name at first.
I've been quietly enjoying these Seinfeld reactions. My future wife, best friend and his future wife used to get together every Thursday to watch it. Religiously For years...
Season 6 Episode 6 - "The Gymnast" I don't think y'all have even seen Mr. Pitt yet, so no idea who Elaine is referring to. That episode is a good one to get his character. Another one with him is Season 6 Episode 1 "The Chaperone " (his first appearance) His and Elaine's dynamic is fun.
There's a male audience member with a REALLY pronounced laugh for this episode. Trust me, if you watch this ep back, even this reaction, you can't not notice him 😅
The reveal of Kramer's first name was HUGE deal at the time. There was a lot of buildup to it and when it came out it made the news. This and "The Opposite" are my absolute favorite episodes of Seinfeld.
i love Kacee, she is very smart!! and i think Kramer stuck with "Kramer" because Cosmo didn't catch on, everyone (fans) was already familiar with Kramer.
The only time that I ever heard the name Cosmo before was as the main character's first name in the brilliant 1937 comedy movie "Topper," about a banker who becomes the only person able to see two ghosts.
I was a little surprised Kacee didn't enjoy the manage a trois more than she did. I figured she would be rotflahao! Oh well, I guess not all comedy hits every time. Impressed she anticipated George's light bulb moment.
Guys absolutely love watching your reactions to this episode, as I've said I'm now watching 3rd rock from the sun but with seinfeld I must recommend the maid episode. However if you ever decide to watch 3rd rock from the sun season 1 episode 1 must watch
This episode was a pretty big deal back then. We went six seasons without Kramer having a first name. Also, they do refer to him as Cosmo in later episodes.

If you two like Seinfeld, you should watch “Curb your Enthusiasm.”
@@DosCavazos please watch the abstinence!!
The Soup Nazy??
Wait until you see the Big Salad 🥗 episode 😅
George yelling "I goooooottt iiiiittt!" Is an all time television moment
"Do you ever get down on your knees and that God that you know me and and have access to my dementia?" is even better.
Along with "This is like discovering plutonium BY ACCIDENT".
Or "remember... It's not a lie if YOU believe it"
He didn't say gotttt ittttt, that would sound so weird...
No, not really🙄
"Elaine, of course I'm concerned...I'm PAYING for those meals" is one of my favorite lines.
First thing I thought of too. I'm payin for those pukes. Knock it off.
I mean, if she's just gonna upchuck everything immediately, might as well just take her to McDonald's for a fifth of the price.
The scene between Newman and Babs on the sidewalk always gets me. It's just so Film Noir-esque.
Definetly worth watching most if not all Seinfeld episodes eventually.
You guys cut out the best part, that is "Do you ever get down on your knees and thank God you know me and have access to my dementia?" Hahahahhahahahah!
Yep. A classic line.
It's probably in the full reaction on patreon
WHADDYA TALKIN ABOUT IM NOT GONNA DO IT!!!!
Agree 100% have used that line with friends who are seinfeld fans at time. Just so funny.
Now that you know his name is Cosmo you need to do the Fusilli Jerry episode where Kramer gets the wrong license plate.
It was a million to one shot
" Newman " was also one of the interogators of Sharon Stone during famous leg cross scene in " Basic Instinct " 😊
"You have a mom?" She(kacee) says
Yeah, it's a shocker but Kramer was birthed 😂
Same thing i was thinking lol
The intertwining the three stories together is nothing short of genius.

I love watching these reactions! Seeing a younger generation discover something that was amazing when my generation was coming of age is awesome!
“THIS IS LIKE DISCOVERING PLUTONIUM BY ACCIDENT!”
-George Costnza
“The Sniffing Accountant” is a great one. I’m glad y’all are doing these!
Here's to feeling good all the time!
As someone with nasal allergies, I hate that episode. Sniffing doesn’t mean you’re on coke! 🤬

One of the most underrated episodes. Never really gets talked about but it’s one of my favorites
It not only gets talked about, there is a follow up "Switch" episode.
"This is like discovering Plutonium...BY ACCIDENT!!!" That delivery is the most "George" thing I have ever seen hahaha
"The Blood" and "The Soup Nazi" are Seinfeld essentials, can't believe you haven't watched them...
Love how they all start laughing when George reveals the Cosmo name lol The cats outta the bag!
One of my favorite lines. The cat... Rrrrraaar is outta the bag!
The true irony of this episode is that Jerry is stuck with a non laugher, and Kacee is stuck with a maniacal obnoxious Cackler.
Thank you, this is my fav Seinfeld episode xD
It showed very well how we, as left side dominant people think, and plan ahead, and how life happens in contrast xD

"I'll have to get weirdo lighting" you guys didn't show my favorite line! 😂
To answer Anthony’s question at 12:18 this is the only episode where Kramers mom actually appears. Regarding his name he still mainly goes by Kramer but he will periodically be referred to by his full name from this episode on.
George telling them Kramer's name is such a asshole move but something a friend in every group would totally do.
George compares the menage to accidentally discovering plutonium, then admits he could never do it himself. George is a tortured soul.
That will come into play in a later episode.....with a twist.

The Ménage à trois comes back in a hilarious way in "The English patien" episode.
Im.loving this..cause i only seen this show one time..like 5 years ago..not sure if i seen it all. So dope .the reaction so fun.
I’ve always loved Jerry talking about Frankenstein in a sport jacket.
Babs is referred to in an earlier episode. 'The Jacket' I believe. "She was drinking Colt 45 from a can."
2:21 Another spontaneous, genuine reaction.
At first, Jerry thought Kramer's name was "Kessler" - from the very 1st episode and, then again, mentioned in the "Backwards Episode." This is because Kenny Kramer (the real life character on which Cosmo Kramer is based) didn't give his permission for them to use his name at first.

Classic episode!!
The name Cosmo comes up from time to time from here on out
One of my all time favorite episodes!🤣🤣🤣
Actually, after this episode, Kramer owns his given name. Exhibit A: "The Fusilli Jerry."
“I’m Cosmo Kramer, the (spoiler)!”
Oh yeah this is a good one.
"I'll have to get all kinds of lotions and robes!" 😂🤣
Hope you both react to "The Subway" or "The Wig Master". Both hilarious episodes.
The calzone episode is even funnier 😅
You probably saw the episode with the bike when Kramer is riding it down the street and people are yelling "Hey Cosmo!" at him.
Ethel Kennedy passed away last week.
and we're supposed to care why?

Dude, best Seinfeld reactions.
Another good episode would be the anti-dentite episode that stars the guy from "Breaking Bad" as the dentist
That’s “The Yada Yada”. Definitely worth a look.
That roommate has a gorgeous laugh!
the jimmy is coming up next, can't wait!!!
It was a truly genius plan
"I'm Cosmo Kramer, The ASS MAN!"
The reveal of Kramer's first name was HUGE deal at the time. There was a lot of buildup to it and when it came out it made the news.
This and "The Opposite" are my absolute favorite episodes of Seinfeld.
You got to do the frogger machine episode.
i love Kacee, she is very smart!! and i think Kramer stuck with "Kramer" because Cosmo didn't catch on, everyone (fans) was already familiar with Kramer.
My mom named our cat cosmo because of this episode
The only time that I ever heard the name Cosmo before was as the main character's first name in the brilliant 1937 comedy movie "Topper," about a banker who becomes the only person able to see two ghosts.
Great ep
I love your reactions to this show
George is right on about the roommate switch
Kinda suprised you guys haven't got to the soup nazi episode yet, that's gotta be one of the most memorable episodes
They do refer to him as Cosmo in many episodes later on
If I remember correctly, this was the episode I said to myself if George can get a girl that looks like that, I need to live in NYC.
Hell yeah, Seinfeld was a hilarious show 😂
The Gum is an excellent episode you should watch
The abstinence!!!!!! Please!!! Im not giving up lol
(fun fact) Georges girlfriend is Charlotte Lewis - she did SEVERAL movies - including "The Golden Child" with Eddie Murphy

I was a little surprised Kacee didn't enjoy the manage a trois more than she did. I figured she would be rotflahao! Oh well, I guess not all comedy hits every time. Impressed she anticipated George's light bulb moment.
They promoted this as a ratings ploy when the show aired with Kramer's first name reveal being the hook.
This episode is a bit more middling, but you deliver as usual.
Cosmo Kramer sounds like superhero name

I totally forgot you don’t learn Kramer’s first name till much later in the shows run.
3:41 you have a mom?
Yes even Kramer has a mom lmao.
Well obviously she meant on the show.
@mneugent7658
Even on the show, we can surmise that Kramer was birthed, and not a "pod person".
This was episode 100. Kosmo was the big reveal.
This episode was a pretty big deal back then. We went six seasons without Kramer having a first name.
Also, they do refer to him as Cosmo in later episodes.
You gotta watch "The Pen" and "The Library"!!!!
Uncle Jesse's real name is HERMES. The Tanners had a good laugh at that one too.
George’s girlfriend in this was in THE GOLDEN CHILD (1986) with Eddie Murphy. You should watch that.
...there's just something about a monster in a blazer.
This is like discovering Plutonium by accident!
That's when it was revealed in the show
Let's go "Fusilli Jerry"
still waiting for The Briss 😆
yall shoulda watched it in order. the name reveal just doesn’t hit the same this way
10:11 I remember those pants!
I've seen 3 seasons of Seinfeld but they don't number the episodes so I don't know where to start their videos from
Does Kramer has a mom really .Yes her name is Babs. He didn't just appear from nowhere
7:47 Where was Jerry when George came back and said "I GOT IT"?
I wonder if they got the idea for the girlfriend who doesn't laugh at Jerry's jokes from Don Rickles, whose wife never laughed at his jokes.
In real life the roommate wouldn't let the other girl date him. They would be like if you were my friend you'd ignore him 😂
Sounds like you had a failed threesome experience.
