@@jeffcameron536 The ending was so perfect! The car wouldn't start. That was not planned, and you can actually see them laughing as Kramer is trying to start the car. Sometimes fate wrote some of the script. 🙂
You have to understand... the network's ratings skyrocketed DURING the episode. People couldn't believe what they were seeing and began calling each other, urging them to turn on their TVs. This episode has become a significant part of American pop culture.
I remember the show being on before, like I’d seen it while flipping through the channels, but for whatever reason, I decided to give the show a shot & this was the first episode I saw. I was a fan after that🤣
This episode is the episode where Seinfeld hit its stride. Watching all the episodes back to back, you'll see a change from the early episodes into the classic show that it became.
One of the best comedy episodes of all time! Rickshaw, soup nazi, show about nothing, pirate shirt (low talker) all are great episodes! So glad you’re checking out Seinfeld!
I can't believe you guys are actually reacting to Seinfeld. It's a total classic but not many people nowadays agree so I'm surprised. Pleasantly surprised. 👍
On the night of the finale of Seinfeld Jerry was a guest on the Tonight Show and so was JFK Jr. He said people always complimented him on how well he did in his guest spot on Seinfeld even though he’s not actually in the episode.
It's completely fine to watch the episodes out of order, they're all very random anyway for the most part. Can't wait for the next ones! Keep doing your thing y'all. My recommendation would be "The Outing"
There are countless episodes that are absolute classics...might be the best sitcom ever made. Btw, for their jobs, George starts out as a real estate agent (the episodes where he loses that job are awesome) later becomes an assistant for the Yankees. Elaine is an editor for most of the show, and Kramer has the odd scheme now and then but we never really see him with a steady job.
Notice the writers are all so good that they wrote this entire episode without mentioning the M word, without any outlawed words or naughty words. We knew exactly what they were talking about even though they never even mentioned it specifically. That's genius.
I heard my co-workers taking about Seinfeld the next day at work, so I watched my first episode the next week which was "The Letter" and Elaine got in a fight about wearing her Baltimore Orioles baseball cap in the NY owners box seats. I was hooked on Seinfeld ever since. It was very relatable, funny and clever.
This is exactly how I would introduce someone to Seinfeld if they’re not interested in watching it (picking and choosing). You got so many great recommendations, however, I didn’t see anyone recommending “The Abstinence,” S8 E9! You don’t want to miss it 😁
What's funny to me is that the characters never use the word to describe what George's mom caught him doing (they walk right up to the line, but never say it). If you're taking requests on Seinfeld, check out the episode about the barber. Keep up the great work!
What’s amazing about Seinfeld is that it was loved countrywide. You wouldn’t think that a show based in NYC, about NYC, and basically NY humor, would resonate countrywide, but it did. It didn’t hurt that it was just damned funny. Also, that Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld created it, two HILARIOUS guys. George was basically Larry David. And David & Seinfeld, several of their episodes were about things that actually happened to them. And the cast was perfect, the 4 main characters were blessed with great comedic timing. Side characters were great too, especially George’s parents (brilliant) and Jerry’s parents. Just a brilliant show.
The Yada Yada Yada episode is a good one, I love the one where George does the opposite of his instinct, and also the one where Jerry buys his dad a Cadillac which sees him kicked off the condo board, very relatable behaviour from those retirement estates.
This episode is one of my three favorite Seinfeld episodes of all time, you also need to watch the episode called "the switch" and then the episode where Kramer picks up the backstage of the old Merv Griffin show set. Trust me, it is a classic
The actor who plays George’s mom has a funny story about this. This was the script they sent her before her audition. She read the whole thing and still didn’t understand what George was “caught” doing. She asked her daughter: “treating his body like it was an amusement park - what does that mean?” Her daughter explained it, and she responded, “no way, this is a prime time sitcom, that can’t be what they mean!” She had never heard of the show, never seen it. She wasn’t very interested, but her daughter convinced her that it was an important show and an important role. Be sure to check out Curb Your Enthusiasm. It’s exactly what you’d expect if you imagine Seinfeld on HBO instead of NBC, and with the focus on George.
I'm in my 50s and it's so strange to me that young people don't know what Seinfeld was. That's my all time favorite sitcom. I watched it in my 20s and LOVED it. You didn't see and don't see this type of humor in other shows. Brilliant.
'The Parking Garage" "The Bubble Boy" "The Betrayal" which is also known as the backwards episode "The Face Painter" "The Red Dot" "The Hamptons" You can't go wrong with just about any episode of Seinfeld.
I remember, during the show's first run, Seinfeld was interviewed by, I think, "Sixty Minutes". One of the nicest things he said was that the smartest thing he did was to surround himself with gifted actors and let them run away with the scripts.
My all time favorite : The Airport which features Kramer's most epic entrance at the very end. Also, The Bris which has a eccentric mohel (moy ul) that performs a circumcision who is so outrageous he steals the episode.
Wow, can't believe you guys haven't seen this? I guess it's different generations but this is one of the world's most famous sitcom with this episode being in the top 5 of it's 9 yr run. Still don't understand how folks don't think this show is funny...glad you are enjoying the best sitcom in history of humanity!
A lot of good recommendations in the comments, but S6E19 "The Jimmy" contains in my opinion possibly the funniest 2 minutes of television ever recorded.
I would do the fifth season opener, "The Opposite." There are A, B and C plots. The A-plot is that George concludes every decision he's ever made... has been wrong. And therefore, the opposite, would have to be right. He vows to live by that principle, and suddenly, his life takes off! This is also the episode where George begins his job at the New York Yankees (and introduces the Seinfeld universe's fiction depiction of George Steinbrenner, voiced by Larry David.)
A year or so after this episode, Jerry was on the Tonight show. JFK, Jr was on, too. It was funny him razzing on Jerry about his part in the story. I laugh so hard at George's mother in the scene in the hospital.😂😂
The Jimmy - a series of coincidences causes Kramer to have difficulty speaking, and he ends up being mistaken as mentally challenged The Alternate Side - when Kramer gets a line in a woody Allen movie, everybody keeps trying to say it better than the others, “these pretzels are making me thirsty”
George's mom is hysterical!! Imho the funniest episode is "The Merv Griffin Set". The outtakes are as funny as the episode. I can fill you in on what you missed after the fact
My favourite episode is ‘The Opposite’ which is the last episode of Season 5. It’s just a masterpiece of comedy with George Costanza at the centre of it all
Apparently, when this episode aired on TV, according to some polling company in the 90's or very early 2000's this was the most talked about TV episode of ANY show talked about at the office water cooler!
Julia said that when she read the script she could not believe it would get past the censors. The writing was good enough to give the audience enough information to know what the characters were talking about. And John John was buff and quite a catch back in the day.
“The Puffy Shirt” is the greatest Seinfeld episode. Not because of the shirt thread, but because of the secondary thread with George as a hand model. Pure GOLD!!!
Everyone wants to say that this was the first TV show about a real person's life but it was Welcome Back Kotter with Gabe Kaplan who was also a stand-up comedian

I've said this before but Corner Gas please. If Casey likes Seinfeld I'm sure she will like Corner Gas too!
Please watch seinfeld the outing episode. I have that ranked number 1 on my list.
I hope you react to The Marine Biologist... "The sea was angry that day my friends..." 🤣
Was it a Titleist?
Like an old man trying to send back soup at a deli
Eaaaasssy big fella!
My Fave 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"Hole in one!" 😂
Any ep with George's parents are a must for new viewers 😂
"The Festivus" episode.
Serenity Now
The Chinese Woman and The Doorman
When they go to dinner at Susan's parents.
Frank's ptsd episode also the Maestro one.
The Soup Nazi, the Switch, the Opposite, the Marine Biologist, the Merv Griffin Show, the Serenity Now, the Strike...
There are too many!
Those first 5 are definitely top 10 episodes. Along with The Contest.
The abstinence and the note!
the Strike yes
Soup Nazi easily my personal favourite episode 🍻
The Parking Garage!
You got to show Casey the soup Nazi!
Where the real Villain is Elaine
the "Kenny Rogers Chicken Roaster" episode.
The Opposite, The Fix-Up
I don’t know the name of the episode, the one where they are stuck in the mall parking garage is one of my favorites.
@@jeffcameron536 The ending was so perfect! The car wouldn't start. That was not planned, and you can actually see them laughing as Kramer is trying to start the car. Sometimes fate wrote some of the script. 🙂
Elaine - "I shave my legs!"..........Kramer - "not every day". One of the best low key jokes ever.
I can still hear it, with that half drunk milkshake still in his throat! 😂😂😂
heh, it was how fast he said it.
They slipped this episode past the censors by never uttering the word. Pure brilliance.
A nice metajoke occurs a few episodes later when George drops the word gratuitously.
You have to understand... the network's ratings skyrocketed DURING the episode.
People couldn't believe what they were seeing and began calling each other, urging them to turn on their TVs.
This episode has become a significant part of American pop culture.

This episode is the episode where Seinfeld hit its stride. Watching all the episodes back to back, you'll see a change from the early episodes into the classic show that it became.
@@nostrilnick that entire season 4 was epic. It took them a few years to get some trust with nbc to really push the boundaries.
One of the most relatable shows ever 100%. That’s why it’s still running every night 30 years after airing
"Not that there's anything wrong with that."
George’s “it was cold” episode is great… and the parking garage episode
"I was in the pool!"
That one is called the Hamptons, one of my favorites.
Shrinkage !!!!
Elaine's reaction haha!
It's a real thing, right guys?! 😬
The Outing makes a hilarious call back to the hospital shadow scene in this episode
One of the best comedy episodes of all time! Rickshaw, soup nazi, show about nothing, pirate shirt (low talker) all are great episodes! So glad you’re checking out Seinfeld!
The Soup Nazi, The Puffy Shirt, The Bubble Boy, The Limo, and The Chicken Roaster. All incredible episodes you should consider
"Moobs? It must be a misprint."
the limo! underrated episode
But I don't wanna be a pirate!
@@scipioafricanus5871 I read that and immediately started to laugh! Moobs.... must be a misprint since George said "moops"!
Yes. The limo. Must watch. Must react.

..GREAT line, but by Seinfeld standards, not a great episode 🙏🏾
I can't believe you guys are actually reacting to Seinfeld. It's a total classic but not many people nowadays agree so I'm surprised. Pleasantly surprised. 👍
People are retarded
The Outing, The Movies, The Marine Biologist, The Parking Garage, The Strike (Festivus), The Soup and The Soup Nazi are essentials
“Marla the Virgin Jr.” made me laugh 😂
Seinfeld wasn't on cable television, it was BROADCAST television which was subject to much stricter rules about sex.
That's what makes Curb so damn good. It's Seinfeld with no rules.
George trying to save the Frogger arcade machine that has him still at the highest score.
That's one of my top ten.
@@darthken815 Young people won't understand he's actually playing Frogger at the end, with the street scene
On the night of the finale of Seinfeld Jerry was a guest on the Tonight Show and so was JFK Jr. He said people always complimented him on how well he did in his guest spot on Seinfeld even though he’s not actually in the episode.
“The Outing” would be a great follow up episode for this.
Yep. It's almost a companion to this episode. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Yup
The Puffy Shirt
I don't wanna be a pirate!
It's completely fine to watch the episodes out of order, they're all very random anyway for the most part. Can't wait for the next ones! Keep doing your thing y'all.

Kacee is lucky, I would love to watch Seinfeld for the first time again.
"The Marine Biologist" is one of the best.

"Master of my domain" comes pretty close. (Sorry about that. (not sorry.😉))
The Marble Rye is also a must-watch
I heard my co-workers taking about Seinfeld the next day at work, so I watched my first episode the next week which was "The Letter" and Elaine got in a fight about wearing her Baltimore Orioles baseball cap in the NY owners box seats. I was hooked on Seinfeld ever since. It was very relatable, funny and clever.
Love this! Please watch ‘The Stall’, “ I can’t spare a square, I haven’t got a square to spare.” 😂
“The Puffy Shirt” is super underrated and has a nice callback to this episode
"The Hamptons" is one of my favorite episodes of Seinfeld.
😂😂 George performing on his own OnlyFans account 😂😂 why did his mom put that in my head.
His user name would be... Buck Naked

As others have said, “The Marine Biologist” is another extraordinary episode to react to.
This ep is SUCH a classic. Man, hard to believe that was around 30 years ago, AND I WAS ALREADY IN MY THIRTIES.
I love the little things in this show, like George having dinosaur bed sheets.
Not watching the episodes in order is just like watching the show during supper time in syndication and you can never go wrong.
Without doubt the most perfect 22 minutes of television ever.
One of the best clips from this episode is George's mom literally yelling she's hungry and he doesn't even react 😂
The part where George says to his mom "here have some Tik Tacs" and throws them at her , he ad libbed that on the spot.
