The reason the S model looks identical to the regular model is cause the regular model has the S line package which gives it S sport styling, thats how its always been with Audi, the regular models with the S line package and the actual S cars have always looked identical besides the silver mirror caps on the actual S model. The RS model is when there’s an actual difference in styling. I have a 2019 s5 and it looks identical to the regular a5, same with the generation before it.

Plasmablue Q6 is S-line and Grey one is SQ6. Didn't find any image of regular Q6 without S-line trim
I don't want to act like a genius but you're right. Only the etron gt and etron gt RS which is an RS looks identical to the normal one. They should've called it an S instead of an RS. All in all I totally agree with the statement.
About the rear light bar, Audi was one of the first I think, the A8 has it for a really long time now

Lmao hell nah. Even the XM blacked out looks way better then this blob. The x5 and x6 look TONS more aggresive and head turning. This looks like an out dated blob
Their best steering wheel which in my opinion is also the best one on the market, at least design wise, is the round impact absorber, flat-bottom with perforated leather wheel.
The overhang on the right screen for the driver is to hide/obstruct the optional passenger screen from the view of the driver in order to legally allow the passenger to watch videos on the the optional passenger screen.
I don't know if that's the reason because it's still visible from the POV of the driver, which is why they implemented the cover that hides the content shown on the screen from the angle of the driver. So the drive can see the screen but they can see what it's showing... making that big random shape purely a design choice.
Other videos show that’s it to help people reach and select icons at the far side of the screen. The curved part ensues it’s easier to reach than if it was flat. It’s also to help the driver see the icons and information face on instead of at an angle.
This is the best Audi I've seen. They finally upgraded the infotainment. It also looks way better than their previous car

The Q6 was shown in S-line trim. So it had the same body kit as the SQ6. They haven’t shown the standard body style yet.

Yeah that A3 looks much better! I think they were trying to mimic the shape of the previous gauge cluster with the entire screen… that or mimicking the shape of the grille. I don’t know lol. Either way this is a huge disappointment of a car from Audi, that interior is hideous and cheap feeling and the exterior could come from half a dozen brands

I like the dashboard area, but I'd not go for the passenger screen - makes it look more messy. Overall, the outside of the car looks a little dull.
Glad they didn't go down the tesla route of single ipad style screen in the centre like others are doing.

Great looking car. I love how everyone is complaining about everything being incorporated into the touch screen. Tesla has been doing that for years. I see old people driving Teslas. They don’t seem to complain about it at all. I love how this guy thinks his opinion is the end-all be-all.

Audi introduced a unified tail light in 2019, 5 years ago on their first e-tron. Everybody jumped on that bandwagon after.

I think that the blank section you highlighted at the far right of the drivers display is some kind of psychological/visual barrier to isolate that screen from the passenger display.....or maybe not....😂
I have to disagree with the headlights vs the daytime running lights. I feel like you can play with the daytime running lights more and give the cars more personality. Look at the Lotus SUV and Sedan for example!
Request: if you have the option, stick to analyzing the lighter colored interior. It’s easier to see the details. I’m not sure what’s going on in that jet black interior.

That's the problem with this channel, it's very subjective.
I used to hate the 2000's audi's design cause it was too boring imo, too "sobre" and now I'm starting to love it cause they are trying to get a bit more creative !
New BMWs also suffer from this, you sit in $80k X5 and it feels like $35k base BMW with a big screen slapped on it. BMW turned away a lot of people with that latest design, and I can't believe Audi is following this. First Audi introduced the touch screen A/C panel, and they moved the navigation screen below eye level, this was still OK and you could get used to it (the pop out display was the best of both worlds, perfectly eye level, yet you could press a button and hide it, but first they disabled the hiding function citing backup camera as a reason, then they moved it down) now all-digital, hard to reach, can't understand the design behind no hood over cluster, just does not feel substantial anymore. Imagine TVs making remote controls touch screen! Would you buy a TV with that remote control? I am glad they haven't done that but if it was cheaper, they definitely would.
Man, the big three German brands have really lost their touch when it comes to their interiors. Mercedes has become too flashy and the screens are absolutely massive, BMW's new screens look as if they're just glued to the dashboard, and now Audi has all these weird shapes and cutlines in their new screens. Not to mention, all three brands have moved the climate controls into the screen. I don't care if they remain stationary and don't go away when you go into a different menu. It's still annoying at times. This is a big disappointment, especially for Audi. Porsche is now the only German brand that has a cohesive interior. What a shame, really.
My elderly aunt apparently appreciates the massive screens of Mercedes-Benz. Hasn't needed her reading glasses....

You are criticising "the three Germans", but in the same time you propbably will be "cheering" about fu....ng ugly Tesla interiors and dashboards, which have nothing but huge rectangular screens on the dashboards and the most fu.....ng awfully build quality in the industry.
The German cars still have this specialty, which you don't get from other carmakers.
Especially the suspensions of German EVs are the best in the industry.

You sound like an 80 year old grumpy man. You can also use the “Hey Audi” feature to verbally control the climate control. I feel like the people that complain about this are from the Boomer generation.
BMW interior isn't that bad. The XM and 7 series have some of bmws best interiors ever. Also the m3 and m4 with their carbon buckets.
Caught in a weird place. This is a very handsome SUV and is def one of best looking in its class but you can't help but lament how everyone is just following the same trends these days.
Still can't understand why the Q and SQ are barely diff tho. Think it's the first time i've seen any manufacturer do that between their regular and sport line

Love the articles in which VW decided to go back to analog buttons for some tasks like climate control, and I think that the whole world at some point will go back to a sort of a phygital approach, at least I really hope so.
First of all, the double headlight trend needs to stop. It‘s clumsy, serves no purpose and takes away confidence like a pair of nerdy glasses. Secondly, a German design should never be this fussy. Leave the over-designed cars to the Koreans. As a long-time Audi fanboi I‘m really digging the Rivian R3‘s lines. Looks like they spent time REMOVING lines and not adding them. That’s something Audi needs to remember from their heyday.
The original E-Tron, rebranded as E-Tron Q8, was released 7 years ago. There is no evolution in this design, is just looks more overstylized following the horrible trend of splitting the front lights in two. So sad to see what Audi is doing these days.

This Q6, and the comparison with the BMW iX make me appreciate the EQE! As strange as it sounds, the Egg is the best of the three, coherent at least. Poltstar 3 may win this round.
You don't understand. The Q6 is the EV equivalent of the Q5. The Q5 is the SUV equivalent of the A4, A5. Therefore, this is only comparable to the BMW iX3 and Mercedes-Benz EQC. The Q8 is comparable to the EQE and iX. It is now outdated though and should be replaced soon.
Porsche Macan wins at the PPE design stakes for me. It’s less fussy, inside and out.
I feel like Audi’s best interior was the etron gt. Sadly they did what everyone has done and slap badly integrated big screens across the dash and call it a day
The interior tech is such a disappointment for me, They never finished rolling out the newer system that can be found on literally everything except the Q5, A4 And A5. That system even if it looks more utilitarian was super nice when I test drove an A6, It was fast and responsive. The new system looks like they saw GMs EV's (Especially chevy ones like the blazer EV) and then saw Kia EV's and they were like 'lets do that but even less practical - get rid of even more buttons' - Even the texture of the dashboard looks stupidly similar to the EV9's
To clarify im not saying the new system will be slower, but im saying the old system was far ahead of most other brands even if it didnt look like it. Im really sad to see them replace it before they even finished rolling it out.
Exterior lost that sharpness and edge Audi have now, here it is blobby, bringing back soapy 90s styling. Interior is also a fail lacking more and more of tactile features. If displays will have 120hz and run as smooth as iPhones with haptics that will do, but I afraid that will not happen.
They should call EVs SOWs, Surveillance On Wheels. Yes, Big Brother is driving with you. And one day BB will take over the control of your car.

For me, the most beautiful Audi is the Audi Prologue Quattro Concept. But Audi does a good job in design. BMW does too many experiments and has no clear design line.

Audi SQ6 is not really an S Audi, is just a more powerful engine. They will make a RS Q6 that will look more sporty.

Just buy a car up until 2020, mantain it and enjoy a propper quality! All of the new cars nowadays are damn stupid computers on wheels. Really sad! This makes me to appreciate the older cars with craftmanship and calssic design elements.
Computerizing cars will eventually reach a climax where things get completely out of hand. Hopefully, incentivizing companies to become more sensible and abandon this ridiculous trend. Fingers crossed, they will realize that all this useless tech doesn't make cars better sooner rather than later, but I've got a bad feeling it will take a crude awakening for them to finally see the stupidity of this trend.

You will understand once you see the first reviews.
The Q6 will most likely be better than the Q8 in every aspect. You have to remember that the Q8 etron was hastly build on a non electric platform and has old components. I'm not even sure if it will even have that much more space. And it has only been facelifted since 2018.
The Q6 will definitely be quicker, have more range, charge faster and be more efficient.

That interior looks like it was ripped out of a Kia or a Hyundai. Looks maybe even cheaper than them and it’s sad because they had some of the nicest interiors as well.

stylish design even it is over-detailed in some lines . better than the BMW .there is no doubt on this. but the interior man..🎃...it is a real mess. 🎃 full of HD TV sceens..😅..an easy solution to inform drivers with an ugly weel that looses all the originality .

This is a disappointing car in my opinion. I really don't like the split headlights, they just ruin the exterior.
Here’s hoping the new design boss will be throwing out the current Audi design. This thing is awful (especially the interior).
To tell you the truth, when it comes to automobile design, I don't know what t hey were thinking for 9 out of 10 of these EVs on the road right now. Hyundai is the worst offender, with BMW a close second. With exception, those cars look like abominations no wheels.
The steering wheel on the SQ6 looks so ugly I'd have to put a towel over it to drive. It look like it came out of a panel truck. Not sporty in any way. I also don't like all those Hyundai Ioniq squares on the DRL. Way too busy.
On the other hand, I love the muscular haunches over the wheel well. The jury is still out of the door insert. VW has a similar style on its new Tiguan. It gives the car forward motion even when its standing still. I prefer those super creases to the heavy truck-like double curves on the VW Atlas.
Anyway, lest just get rid of the grill -- look altogether. No EVE needs a grill. Just like it doesn't need tail pipes. Let it go.
Finally the displays for boomers are gone.
