Awesome video! I have been painting for a few years in my garage on various rebuilds. You are a great teacher! I have learned so much from you which reflects in my paint jobs. Thank you for the videos.

That's awsome! This is why I started the channel brother! Appreciate the support!
Great vid, just as I'm going to spray 2 fenders and a hood for the first time this weekend. This video is gold. Thank you and my efforts you will be able to see on Mt channel in about a week or so.
Good luck! Appreciate the support brother!
Great job ❤
Thank you!

👍👍👊
Another great video. I'm enjoying watching them all!
Awesome! Appreciate the support!
Just want to say that after 8 months of watching your videos, previously had no idea how to paint anything, now I’m getting really nice finishes and managed to save my business quite some money by painting stuff myself! Keep up the good work!
That is awesome!
Another great finish Chris, considering you don't have a paint booth it always amazes me how you get such clean finishes they always come out looking great, it just goes to show that you don't need a state of the art booth to get a nice clean job👌
Nicely done Sir👏🙏👍John UK
It'd be nice to have one but not necessary. Appreciate the support brother!
Chris, I just want to say I really appreciate your time in making these videos. They are by far the best do it yourself content on bodywork on UA-cam in my opinion! Always looking forward to the next video.
Wow! High praise, appreciate that. It's my pleasure I'm just getting started a lot of great info to come!! Appreciate all the support!
A simple Thank You, means the world.
👍appreciate your support!
That was a great help an thanks I been fighting orange peel an we sanding every paint job
Awesome! Happy to help! I appreciate the comment and support!
Nice Video man, build mils and cover scratches from the 220,320 grits and go to the base!
👍
Chris with the R500 LVLP spray do you use a regular flowing coupler hose adapter or a high flow coupler like on a regular HVLP spray gun ?
Just a regular coupler
Awesome, another great video!
Thanks,
Chris!
Thanks brother appreciate the comment and support!!
You often talk about spraying clear base or a wet bed before spraying metallic colors. What product do you use for this and how do you mix them. Thanks for your help, you're an awesome teacher.
Speedcoat makes a wet bed it's called color blender I'll give you the link but you can also use binder. Binder is paint with no pigments it mixes just like paint for instance nason mixes 2:1 your would mix it the same.
amzn.to/3UC9cM6 i would reduce this about 5% appreciate the comment and support!
Thanks for a nother great video!
Thank's bro!
It’s been great if you do a video explaining the product that you use that u pol clear and u pol primer👍👍
Will do!!
Trying to go thru most of your videos to help blow this channel up. Another question if iam repairing part a rear fender and rear door. With matching mixed spray bomb paint should I lay the first lite coat on bondo and primer area first then second coat ( lite coat ) over the rest after flashing off
Yes, cover the prime fist then blend color out into the rest of the panel. I appreciate all the support!
@@GarageNoise that’s what I thought you said in video but didn’t know if I should do 2coats over primer then blend.and do I tack rag after each coat ?
Do you ever tint your sealer? If so, how do you go about doing that?
Depends what sealer your using but with the upol I use you can tint the sealer with your basecoat. I use about 5-10% added to sealer and it works great.
Great video as usual! Is there any difference between the two guns? Does the settings apply for both?
Same guns and settings. Appearance is the only difference. Appreciate the support!
Just got my r500 today because of you, can't wait to test it out. I love the way you talk about it in the videos. 😉
nice 👍💯
Thank's brother!
what nozzle tip you use for your sealer?
1.3
Whats primer/ surfacer
Basically it's a thinner primer. Sandable but not a super thick primer. Most high build urethane primers can be reduced to use as a thinner primer surfacer, but allways check you technical data sheet.
Garage noise. Another great video. I have two quick questions. How long do you let the upol sealer dry before coating. 2 i see you used a "generic" reducer in the nason base. Does that work just as good as the ful base reducer and have you ever had any problems with using a different reducer in nason base? Always wondered about that. Thank you!!
About 10-15 on sealer. I just use what ever reducer is most reasonably priced and I've never had an issue. Appreciate the comment and support!
Thanks for the video. Please what's the difference between sealing and priming?
A sealer doesn't get sanded that's the big difference.
I can see the orange peel, that is not a flat finish. It looks good for white.
Not as flat as I would like. Some are better than others there will always be some peel. Thank's for watching!
I bought the newer coated black 610 gun over the R500, do you like the older R500 gun better?
They spray the same, I kinda like the looks of the A610 otherwise no difference. Appreciate the comment!
Great video, thanks! I've got an R500 gun with disposable cup system, is the 610 superior enough for me to upgrade? It would also be nice to know what tip sizes you're using for each type of paint.
No it's the same gun just an updated appearance. Tip size 1.3 for everything. Appreciate the comment and support!
Great Video 👍 I notice that the Upol primer says it’s also direct to metal, but do you actually use it over bare metal or would you use an epoxy then use the upol primer as a surfacer/sealer?
I use it over bare metal on spot repairs . If your doing an overall paint job you much better using an epoxy primer. Appreciate the comment and support!
if I have foam take on a door jambs and I seal it, base and clear will there be a change of the sealer not being covered all the way? I’m afraid the sealer will make it further to the edge of the foam tape than the base and clear, or will I be ok?
They make foam tape specifically for this issue but what I do is keep my seal away from the gaps it doesn't hurt anything if you don't seal the gaps and it prevents the issue. Your right it is a problem. Appreciate the comment and support!
Wait, you sprayed adhesion promoter on the door... Is that necessary, or good insurance?
Not necessary but some those edges are hard to sand so yes, good insurance. appreciate the support !
@@GarageNoise Good to know! I thought it only worked on plastic. Great tip, thanks again!
nice video chris no wet bed or blend hoping to get my ford foucs bumper painted this year but this body shop said it mite need a blen or wet bed to match the hood or boonet is he rite chris
I always recommend blending if needed and most of the time it's necessary. Appreciate the comment and support!
@@GarageNoise so chris when I come to paint my bumper and bonnet primer mate wetbed and base coat paint and clear coat paint
@@ANDY-we7mr is it silver is that why you want to spray a wet bed?
I'm going to paint for my first time this weekend what's a good way to estimate how much to mix so you don't have too much left over when mixing the base and clear
Depends on different factors color, are you covering prime and size of panels hard to say. Talk to the paint supplier he may be able to help. Appreciate the comment!
Do you use flex additive or just the adhesion promoter
Just adhesion promoter some adhesion promoter are also flex additives. I don't add flex additives to the paint. Some paint manufacturers may not require it. Appreciate the comment and support brother!
I watch all your videos you make it look easy in there keep banging em out 💪🏼
@@handyishrandyish334 👍👊

Thank's buddy!
Does the gun bud get covered with overspray and quit working 14:06 14:06
It will get overspray on it after awhile if you leave on the gun. I just remove it after I'm done using it.
what fluid tip size are you using?
1.3 appreciate the comment and support!
I wanna know how hard it is to fix if ya screw up.
I should do a video on how to overcome obstacles in the middle of painting. It's not hard to fix a screw ups depending what it is . If you forget to put activator in you clear that's hard to fix ( been there) It's really just understanding what to do when things go wrong. Appreciate the comment and support!
@@GarageNoise thanks for the reply. I was just thinking how easy it would be to have a huge run from one of those light pockets. I also thought "bug in paint" when I noticed your door open. Thx again!
