If they announced a John Farnham Concert for soon, I'd go. He wouldn't need to sing, just being there with him would be worthwhile
I would love one with John sitting there and all the crowd sing to him ❤
@@beastagon4205 the 5 decades of pleasure he has given through is music and personality is more than one could ever hope for-he's a legend
So true, count me in mate👍
And I would pitch in more than a little cash to bring Nick out to come along in person.
@@grievesy83 Yeah, I'd kick in for that too
He's never lost his cheekiness. Love him to bits 💓
No words, so beautifully sung ❤
Hope you're doing ok matey, we love ya 👍
As usual, great reaction.
Good to see ya back mate thinking of you an your family xxx
Bruised ribs, no warm up, unrehearsed - perfect. Speedy recovery, John. Stay strong Nic (Big Man), we're on your side.
Love you John!!
Doesn't matter how often I hear him sing, it blows me away every single time. A master vocalist and a real performer 😊 I'm glad 'our' John made you smile during such a difficult time ❤
No rehearsal, no warm up, put on the spot with a pianist he has never worked with before, and he can still nail all those incredible high notes perfectly without even doing a run up! The man is a freak of nature.
Sending you warm wishes Nic. Hope you’re doing ok. Xxx
Did you see how low he put the microphone while he sang the last bit. His voice is so powerful. Love hearing him talk as much as sing.
His mic technique is flawless.
Many lesser singer will bring the mic closer to their mouths to compensate for their lack of natural power.
The first time that I heard John sing I was 13 and staying with my gorgeous grandmother. While dressing in her room "Sadie the Cleaning Lady" was played on the radio. We danced around the room trying to sing along while giggling & stumbling. I was a Farnham fan from that day on and managed to see him on stage more than any other artist. A lovely & oh so talented man.
Wish I’d had a grandmother 😢
Awww I hadn't seen this since it aired! John has such comforting Dad vibes....I've said it before but the fact that this man shows no hint of having an over-inflated ego is a true testament to his wonderful nature. He has more talent that some of the greatest performers that have ever lived and yet he's never let it go to his head. He effortlessly exudes such warmth and kindness - no wonder we love him so much. Thanks for this reaction.
Mr John Farnham your best singer in history with a beautiful song, sung perfectly as we expect from this legend. Thank you Nick, you and your family stay strong together we are all sending you warm wishes mate.
Goosebumps big time, love our John 💕💕💕
This was very special 💕
We love you too Nic. Just your sheer love and massive appreciation for John and other Aussie singers gives us a warm fuzzy. I hope you continue to discover more of John's music 🥰
I'm from South Africa and love your channel. I've also really discovered John Farnham last year. I thoroughly enjoy him and wish I could've attended his shows. There's something so good and wholesome about him. John was born to sing. Gift from God.
Yes, you are correct, John is a gift from heaven and I have been to one of his concerts in Newcastle New South Wales, and to be there was electrifying - he’s a down to earth soul and treated the audience with respect, was funny, interacted with the young ones that approached him at stage edge. Had the audience mesmerized by his songs and he went overtime, really enjoying himself.
I’m sure that everyone attending knew that they were a part of his life and love.
I’m 70 years of age now and I have never seen a better entertainer.
@@raywindred5419 I've now watched most of his videos on UA-cam and even the really early ones, I'm addicted now. Thanks for the feedback. 🥰
@@michellebostock3134 thanks, I'm following most of the videos on UA-cam even the ones from the '60s.
@@michellebostock3134 I've followed those videos now as well. Interesting. Have you read the few biographies of him?
@@michellebostock3134 yes I've read all about his illness and operations and I think the death of Wheatley has been devastating to him as well. However, I think he's wife and children love and care for him will make his recovery easier.
Thoughts are with you Nick. Coming on here hopefully you feel the support and care.
Just listening to John chatting is entertaining on its own. He has such an engaging manner you can't help but be drawn in. Loved this video. Thanks mate.
Sending hugs and prayers to you and your loved ones. If this is a way for you to cope then by all means do what good for you we’ll be here if it’s only to listen we are here mate.. One of my all time favourite songs of John it’s his song and no can sing like he can, they try but it’s just the way John sings it that makes you feel the emotion in his voice that and Comic Conversation also with the MSO. You need to listen to John singing this with MSO it’s just perfection. 😊🥰🇦🇺
I've grown up with John's music & his easy going nature always on our tv. He is a charmer. That the rest of the world barely new if him is their misfortune. Aussie performers went on comedy & chat shows & performed live for a laugh. Aussies have been blessed to have had our best be terrific people as well as performers ♥️
The sound ceased to play at 6:04 - 6:50 (the duet) I assume it maybe due to a copyright block. Keeping you and your family in my prayers. Great reaction to this beautiful song. Thank you
Same happening here! But I have seen the r interview so it’s ok
It breaks my heart to know we will never hear John love again'😞 It's going to break Australia if we lose him. As a singer myself, I never appreciated music until I first heard John 💕 thank you for keeping his music in the hearts of new people xx much love to you hun 💗
How can you not love John?! So much apart of our identity as Aussies. He’s so talented and such a great guy. My 11th Birthday I got a CD Walkman and the Whispering Jack CD. I think I listened to John every night for a whole year straight. He was given Australian of the year the next January and it was our bicentenary - so a really special year in Australia. I remember watching him get choked up accepting the honour and how humbled but deeply proud he was. John is the same age as my dad - and my own kids who are young adults think he is a legend too - all three generations of our family. ❤
Simply THE GREATEST imho. Love and thoughts to you and family ❤️🙏🙏
Every song that comes out of his mouth is my favourite, but that particular one has always been a very special favourite. He puts so much emotion into it.
Nar he's a true Aussie it's how most Aussies used to be
Sadly their getting soft and to much outside interference
Where loosing our culture
🙏 you and your family mate take it easy you'll all get thro it in time
Just remember you always carry them within you
Especially when you do something like they used without thinking about it
Yeah tough song for you at moment and expected mate just go with it
I absolutely love this interview and performance. John is just phenomenal. No warm up, totally unprepared and not expecting to sing and he has broken ribs. But can still do this. Amazing
Great reaction as always. Good to see you back.
He does this on “The Midday Show with Ray Martin” as well. He is VERY funny in that interview, especially talking about his mother in law- The Dragon. Then he performs Please Don’t Ask Me. It’s another amazing performance.
The audio is a bit dodgy but it’s still worth watching it. ua-cam.com/video/MgQ5Opl9UbE/v-deo.html
John farnham has got to be hands ✋️ down the best live concert I've ever been to. He's a truel class act & a fantastic entertainer
He is one of the greatest singers of all time, he has a great sense of humour, just an all out great bloke ❤
I grew up with these songs, oh the memories.
Love this clip and this song and how he is just so down to earth. Also like how he sings it solo, also check him out singing this with the MSO, it’s incredible too
Thank you also for reacting to this song when John Farnham sang this with Olivia Newton John
Love that you love our John so much ❤❤❤
John is the epitome of someone with a true "gift" that he innately knows that he has and is happy to share it with others - the way he will just stand up and and sing so effortlessly but with 100% control at a moment's notice - it is something very rare indeed.
You seem like such a sweet person I’m sorry that things are hard at the moment. Make sure you continue to do things that makes your heart smile.
And thankyou for loving Johnny and fully appreciating his talent 🙂
He is just perfect in every way, note, word and song!
One word. Humble.
That piano player is something else. Playing an unknown song for John Farnham? Sure! Why not?! You really don't have to comment on John. He is ALWAYS a force of nature.
Been so blessed to have met him throughout the 80s when he was lead singer of Little River Band. Such an amazing performer and probably one of the nicest guys you’d ever meet. He’s done so many amazing songs. There’s one (of many) that has a fantastic vocal range called When The Cathedrals Were
White, and it’s off of a Little River Band Playing To Win album. Give a listen when you have a moment.
No sound from 6.05 until 6.52. Maybe it is just my iPad.
I love this song. I didn’t know John sang it until my daughter told us from the stage before she sang it. It was a big singing contest and she won it. She is adopted, her voice and her love of all music was born in her, it is a gift I don’t understand but I love it. It is so easy to love John singing anything.
Angel on earth is John Farnham .
This is my all time favourite of John’ s songs no one sings this the way John does. It’s just phenomenal the way he sings it the motion he puts into it and makes you feel when he sings. he one in a million.. sending love to you and your family at this hard time 💔😞🥰🇦🇺
Those piano chords you thought as Prince is actually the beginning of John's song Pressure Down
Got chills when he sang , so good
I took my teenage kids to johns concert, their first ever concert.
You are my favourite reactionist on UA-cam , you don't talk too much but when you do speak, you are on the ball. I love John Farnham only seen him live once and it was in a pub in Melbourne he is just a lovely person
Lucky you - a pub!! What a treat in a small venue!
Wow would love to hear more about the gig, was it just before LRB or after?
God Blesss you and your family 🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾
Thanks again for reacting to John Farnham - so proud of him. Australian icon
I love John. So proud to be Aussie when I hear him ❤
Thank you for sharing this and your great reaction Nick. John's talent is Phenomenal, even when unrehearsed and with out his amazing band!.. plus so funny!
No wonder I've loved him for 50 years!
Great to see another JF reaction!
Sending you and your fam so much love from Aus, Nic ❤
I hope you get a chance to visit one day. Lots of people would love to meet you. You have many friends.
Perfection! That's our John.
Super talented and down to earth
What a legend
When John finally passes on (many years from now, obviously) his vocal chords need to be donated to science and studied.
They must glisten in a million colours like mother of pearl.
Love him too. I used to watch his show weekly when I was a teenager. I preferred to stay home & watch him then go out with my friends. 😆
Made jump back to a time when substance was a thing, thankyou 🙏
Great video, and always a pleasure to see your reactions to such an incredible singer such as John Farnham. Huge virtual hug for what you are going through, Nick. Take care of yourself.
Watching on 18th November. This is one of my favourite John Farnham songs. It’s from the album entitled Uncovered. I love John singing “live” - best way to listen to him. Pray every day for his recovery.
Sending you and your family strength Dom x
Perfection! Love and best well wishes John.💕
Along with Comic Conversation, Please Don’t Ask Me is a top Farnham favourite. Been a lover of his voice since 1969.
Nick, so sorry to hear of your dad’s sudden but gentle passing. Tough times for you and your family. Sending big hugs.
One of my favourite John Farnham songs! Love them all though.
Hey ... you'd LOVE the Main Event concert. I know you've seen a couple of those performances, but get hold of the DVD of that concert. Full-on John with Olivia and Anthony.
The one on the Ray Martin show is even better
Zero to 10 in just a couple of opening notes 🥰
Sensational singer.
John Farnham is so natural and ego-less. Probably the best entertainer ever second to Elvis. Everybody loves him around the world. So honest and enduring to his audience. And he has a voice...
Beautiful song by a beautiful man ❤️
I get surprised every time he sings. His voice is so extremly good.
I'm glad you found this performance.
I know you've done "Burn for you" but for his full on performance style have you seen this
ua-cam.com/video/rLSEZRAJ6yw/v-deo.html
His performances are just like this ALWAYS!!!! ENJOY!!!! 😎
Sending him love from his "Red-in-blue" 💙
Just a piano and his incredible voice
You should also check out Jack Jones of Southern Sons (he is John incarnate), Guy Sebastian, Rick Price, Tina Arena & Delta Goodrem.
I love him so much.
I’m so glad you reacted to him singing this solo. Peace to you and your family.
I have seen nearly every Farnham concert, in Victoria, Australia. One had a big American musician, John played first, and the American band played second, we were extremely disappointed with the American. John is so much better at entertaining! John has never disappointed when we have seen him.
I remember watching this during uni days! What a shame we never really got into the late night tv tradition like in the US or UK, cos they do produce wonderful live moments. Thanks and hope you’re taking care, looking after yourself
John could “mic drop” any song he sings. But he’s too cool and humble not too.
How John drags such beauty out of nothing blows my mind.
With an almost broken rib too. Incredible xxx❤❤❤
Oh, that was so beautiful, and still perfect as usual! 😪🤩😊🌟💕
lost your sound for a little
Firstly Singer, condolences, Sir.
So as you can see, the famous National Icon, was at heart, STILL A PLUMBER. Maybe he is still. Still had a cement mixer. Still doing his own property. Incidently, Steve Vizard's show was a straight out copy of Dave Letterman's show at the same time. They even copied the "Celebrity" band members and "Celebrity" cameramen. The Network approached Vizard who was a corporate lawyer who'd gone into comedy, offering him an evening variety show, and he said only if it was the same as Letterman's. It ran for a few years.
The riff you're ascribing to Prince is definitely "Take the Pressure Down" by Harry Bogdanovs, made famous by Farnham.
The most beautiful john farnham song ..❤❤
Paul was trying (badly) to play Pressure Down. It did sound like Dove Cry tho
Wonderful love your reactions
Absolute legend
You did well to hold it together there champ! I didn't
🗣He 🔥, Beautiful Song ✅ 🎵 Awesome Performance ❗
Good Too Have You Back Brus ✌ 🤜🏼🤛🏾
For those who aren't aware the pianist is Paul Grabowsky, one of our most popular jazz musicians. He does such a beautiful job here matching John's phrasing and tempo, pretty crazy considering it was unrehearsed.
Chills all round ❤
You have to review the Tom Jones and John Farnham on Hey Hey its Saturday .... its beyond words
Your parents were probably grooving to disco, so not your fault! Aussie stuff was only here for ages. My mum gave me commercial 60/70,(some others alt). Dad r n r, and country! I became alt/rock/metal/grungy, but always my past makes new experiences for me.
(Ages,meaning generation ages🤣👍)

You will be surprised
Love John
Death brings out the worst in families. Some become vultures. Waiting to pick the bones.
Wishing you the best mate. Been there and it is hard. Look up the dictionary for the phrase "Vocal Perfection" and guest whos picture will be there.
Not to react to for us, but just for you, have you seen more recent videos of John performing? I came across this by chance -- 70 years young and he sounds as good as in the 80s.
Love, love, love this man.
