      Yes they were very close freinds. I watched an interview were John joked that his wife gave him permission to kiss Olivia every night for 3 months during that tour lol.❤ and when Olvia passed, John was heart broken 💔 according to his family. It was a very special relationship they had.

    Thankyou what a lovely reaction. John's son has recently told us that he is now cancer free after all the treatment and getting stronger every day and even singing around the house again.
    John might not be well known in the US but he is a big as it gets here in Australia. When he was sick the whole of Aus got behind him. Now that he's on the mend and with the recent screening of a movie documentary about his life, there has been a resurgence in sales of his albums again. 12 of the top 20 albums in our charts in the last week were Farhams. That says a lot. The movie broke box office records in our cinemas a few months ago and the show had to be extended by 9 weeks. It also blitzed the ratings last week when it was screened on TV. The Soundtrack CD entered the charts at number 2 and is still in the charts 2 months later.
    Just goes to show how much he his stilled loved in Aus even after all these years. 1967 - 2023 7 decades and top 2 hits or albums in every one of those decades. Not sure which songs you've reacted to so far but there are so many to choose from. You're the Voice, Help, Playing to Win, Pressure Down, Age of Reason, Burn For You, Loves in Need, When the War is Over, Amazing Grace, Chain Reaction, One...and that's just the tip of the ice burg. There's all his stuff through the 60's and 70's, his time with the Little River Band in the 80's you must check out Reminicing and We Two. And then there's all the collaborations with other Artists like Tom Jones, Ray Charles, Olivia, , Human Nature, Celine Dion....and lots more Aussie artists like Jimmy Barnes, Kylie Minogue, Doc Neeson and Anthony Warlow.
    Can't wait to see what you discover next
    And don't forget to choose live versions

    John always brought out the best of our Livvies voice. They were great friends, nothing more, but loved one another.
    John tried to make in America but you didn’t like him. He played Vegas with The Little River Band also, but he didn’t enjoy his time with them, as he wasn’t allowed to move around the stage.
    One good thing about UA-cam it is bring Australia’s great musicians/singers to the world where they should always have been.

    They were King and Queen of Pop I think in their teens. My husband went to school with Livvie so I asked him how he felt about that. He told me he was a very young 14 and they made him do dance practice with her, she was a GIRL! But she was a very smiley one.😂 I think he was still a bit young when I asked when he was 21.
    We miss Livvie terribly and she would have been devastated that John got cancer not long after she was gone. I think she might even have had something to do with him being cancer free now. She spent all of her free time in Melbourne at the cancer centre she built and her retreat. She wanted people to have dignity during treatment, be comfortable and at peace. We were Blessed to have her and still have John. Thank you.

    This is from the concert, The Main Event . Anthony Warlow made up the threesome. All three have had cancer. Please react to Anthony with John singing, 'Granada,' (very funny!) and Anthony singing the spine-tingling , 'This Is The Moment'. Anthony Warlow has a beautiful voice and is a top (opera-trained) musical theatre performer in Australia.

    Olivia & John's friendship goes back to 1968 when they met at Channel 9 Studio's in Melbourne when they were both there to appear on the Graham Kennedy In Melbourne Tonight Show. While waiting in the back to go on air, they met & it started a 60+ year friendship. They appeared many times together including highlighting at the 2000, Sydney Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. 2 wonderful talents. Both were awesome Singers & very good actors.

    John and Olivia were great friends for 55 years, since they were teenagers. In fact John was one of the last people she spoke to before she died. I think it might have even been the last phone call she ever took in fact. They did love each other, deeply, as far as I know, just friends.

    This holds so much poignancy. Olivia was instrumental in lifting John out of his deep sorrow at losing his best friend and manager, Glenn Wheatley, having been told of his death as John was being wheeled into surgery. Olivia rallied him to complete his biographical movie, only to pass away a few months later.

    Ty for your reaction to these 2 beautiful souls, was hard to watch our beautiful Olivia without tears but as always she glowed. They have always been very good friends and to team them up with another great Aussie vocalist Anthony Warlow for these series of shows was awesome. The chemistry was real, as love comes in many forms and they were in love in their own way. John is on the long hard road to recovery now, from what has been reported now cancer free (Thank God) but even if he can only sing in the shower, or for the birds at his home we have the videos the memories the many many albums he lives forever.

    If you want to hear another duo with John Farnham and Anthony Warlow titled Granada from same concert
    John also did Jesus's christ title Gethsemane 1992
    Also John Farnham and Jimmy barnes when there something wrong with my baby live version these two are Aussie rock royalty
    Both owned the Aussie charts For decade's
    For John health his family said he's clear so far and starting to walk around again and always happy still
    It was a big operation he'll probably never sing again as the had to take part of his jaw and reconstruct it from bone from his leg
    His family said he's normal happy self and it ironic the man called the voice had it taken from him but he's left a legacy of music for generations to come and he's a fighter
    Unfortunately for John he lost Oliver then his manager family friend they where like brothers and then got cancer weeks later it only became he's wife made him go to doctor as he had a tooth and jaw ache and doctor's rushed him in for operation shortly after seeing him
    Prior had no signs so he's lucky to be with us
    Cheers hope you enjoy 🦘🇦🇺👍

They have been great friends for decades and one could certainly see them as a couple if not for the fact that John is happily married and totally devoted to his wife. John Farnham is literally as good as it gets!!! He has been Australia’s number 1 for decades now.
    That performance with Olivia was from a concert tour called The Main Event, they also sing You’re the one that I want from Greece which is absolutely fantastic and so so funny, it’s shows John’s hugely funny side.
    John’s hit You’re The Voice is affectionately known as Australia’s unofficial National Anthem - definitely a great one to look up and watch live in concert (with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra) Honestly the man could sing the phone book and make it sound amazing. Keep the reactions of our Mr Farnham coming.

    There’s major resurgence with John Farnham’s music since the release documentary Finding The Voice and many UA-cam reaction videos John Farnham has gone viral .
    John is probably most known in USA as the guy that replaced Glenn Shorrock in the Little River Band in the early to mid 80’s
    John biggest Little River Band hits in USA was
    The Other Guy - 1983 peaked 11 on billboard charts
    We Two - 1983 peaked at 22 on billboard charts
    Playing To Win - 1984 John’s signature Little River Band failed chart but has gained popularity it Australia as a sporting anthem . And it’s only LRB song John continued to perform at every concert after he left LRB in early 1986 .
    This song Please Don’t Ask Me originally released in 1980 by John it was written a produced buy LRB’s founding member Graham Goble 2 years before John joined the band .
    Please Don’t Ask Me is Graham Goble’s best written song that isn’t a LRB song and just one of best tracks period and he wrote most LRB biggest hits like It’s A Long Way There , Reminiscing , Lady , The Night Owls and The Other Guy .
    But John solo career after LRB was massive in Australia
    1986 he recorded and released a song that no one was expecting You’re The Voice this song revitalised career beyond anyone’s expectations .
    John’s album Whispering Jack 1986 that featured You’re The Voice was first album in Australia to sell 1 million copies ( Australian population back then was only 17 million people ) .
    So in 1988 John was named 1987 Australian Of The Year .
    John has been reluctant about chasing success outside Australia after touring the world with LRB .
    He has done promotional tours and few European tours never been interested in relocating outside Australia to boost he’s profile.
    Other John Farnham hits that are a must reaction
    * You’re The Voice
    * Age Of Reason
    * Burn For You
    * When Something Is Wrong With My Baby ( with Jimmy Barnes )
    * Playing To Win ( either LRB or solo )
